Nevýhody: Children should not be seated in emergency rows— this delayed our flight almost an hour.

Nevýhody: Having to PAY to check in at the airport, having to PAY to carry on a bag... this is ridiculous. What seemed a bargain at first glance ended up costing me WAY more than buying a more comfortable airline with more amenities. They are the Spirit Airlines of Colombia. Avoid them.

Predatory and unprofessional staff and business model
Výhody: Not much. The pilot was communicative.
Nevýhody: The staff were pushy and rude to me when they told me at the gate, when I was about to board, that I could not have a backpack and small purse. This is not what I understood when booking and is not clearly explained at the time of purchase. One attendant at the gate in particular was forceful and rude when insisting that I pay over $66 in cash at a moment when going to the ATM would mean potentially missing boarding and not arriving back in time to the gate. This process, which I agreed to because two staff members gave me the impression that I could not travel on the flight unless I paid right there instantly in CASH (completely ridiculous), caused me anxiety and took a long time, too long given the urgency of boarding the flight. I had to wait for change for 5 minutes and as a result, I was the last one to board. It should be noted that this process of paying for a maleta in hand at the gate had been preceded by having to pay over $20 in cash to print a boarding pass, which required another ATM withdrawal and fee. This is a weak and predatory business model, which seeks to exploit people’s need to travel and their anxiety. This was carried out in a completely unprofessional and manipulative manner by the staff members. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and exploitative.

Lost Luggage and Mechanical Issue
Nevýhody: The flight was delayed due to a mechanical issue which resulted in a missed connecting flight. Luggage was also lost and the United Airlines pawned me off to Air Canada. Air Canada flight was canceled and the second flight was delayed by 4 hours. Luggage has still not been located.
Nevýhody: The only airline that charged me for a damn backpack

Nevýhody: Had to pay for baggage exceeding 6 kilos in weight. Had to find the internet cafe at the airport and pay to print our boarding passes. Agent at the gate would not print nor was there a kiosk to print it.
Do not purchase VivaColombia flight through Kayak
Nevýhody: Purchase directly from VivaColombia website or not at all. We were forced to pay $40 each in additional fees to board the plane (including a fee to print our boarding passes) all which we weren’t expecting. Boarding was a mess, the crew were nice.

Very poor customer Service
Nevýhody: They forced me to check my bag although I had taken it inside all planes . They lost my baggage for two hours and nobody was responsive. Very poor management including the supervisor. Nobody spoke English.
Poor customer Service and misleading pricing strategy
Nevýhody: They appear to be cheap but they charge for any small thing including printing a boarding pass and also checkin a carry on. Which overall turns out to be way more expensive that other airlines. Besides their customer service is very bad. they lost my baggage and didn't explain anything for more than 2 hours.

Nevýhody: Hay que pagar por todo adicional y esos costos son altísimos, por ejemplo el agua cuesta dos solares, almpahar la maleta en el counter sale carísima al final termine pagando lo de un tkt en una aerolínea comercial cualquiera, sillas estrechas, la atención muy mala y no hay nada de entretenimiento abordó..... no volveré a volar nunca más en esa aerolínea!!! Pésima
Nevýhody: They won't print your ticket at the check in counter and you can't use an online boarding pass. You have to print one from home or use an internet cafe at the airport that charges $6 to print a single sheet of paper. They jam your carry on bag into a small box. Boarding took longer than the flight! The seats are incredibly cramped yet they recline all the way back, so you're likely to have someone in your lap for the entire trip. Absolutely horrible. Nothing like other high quality discount airlines such as Air Asia which at least treat you like a human being.

Nevýhody: I booked without realizing that you need to pay for your luggage separately, pay $10 to print your boarding pass and of course pay for all food and beverages. What a pain, not enjoyable.

Don't fly VivaColombia - EVER!!!!
Nevýhody: They asked me to pay a $15USD tax to enter Colombia. This was never mentioned at any stage of the booking process. I had to withdraw money at an ATM with its associated fees just so I could pay this so called entry tax that neither I or anybody else seems to heard of and, even though I'm an Australian citizen, and we don't need a visa to enter colombia. I flew with VivaColombia twice, the first time I received a boarding pass with I printed out, but for my second flight, I never received a boarding pass email, just an email that said online check-in is not available for this flight and to print attached eticket and take it to the check-in counter at the airport, when I did this they asked for around $10usd to print out my boarding pass.

Nevýhody: El avion es muuy incomodo, mido 1,75 y mis piernas van completamente pegadas al asiento de al frente, el proceso de Checkin en Bogota, es un desastre, muy pocas personas, se nota que no estan bien capacitadas.
