I am only 5'7", 150lbs, but for the first time ever could not reach my belongings in the under-the-seat space in front of me. Seriously, it was that cramped."

Nevýhody: "We were advised upon check in online that we could check in but if we needed additional carry on items (1 was free) we had to pay a secondary fee. When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."
Nevýhody: "I propose to keep on board the plane some bright and interesting toys for calming the children who, for almost the entire 10-hour flight, cry and do not give rest to all the passengers. I understand that parents should have worried about this. But if the parents can not do anything with their child, the new toys could help calm the child, and not turn a long flight into torture for other passengers and crew."
Nevýhody: "Small seats, no leg room, seat in front of me reclined till it almost hit my chin. Narrow narrow narrow aisles: so bad your little carts used by rushing, bashing, crashing cabin attendants left my arm (on the aisle) bruised and black & blue. The person in the seat next to mine had an INOPERABLE ENTERTAINMENT SCREEN FOR THE ENTIRE FLIGHT. The crew was constantly racing back & forth up and down the aisles bashing into chairs, people, what ever... because the aisles were SO TINY."

Flight happened to be late so I missed my connection, and they offered some more misinformation in that regard; There were of course human beings (staff) to deal with, but they had been reduced by Lufthansa's rules and systems so they were just robots, repeating over and over again inflexible policies. Horrible!"

In the economy/coach cabin, they squeeze the seat distances to such an extent that, when the person in front of you leans their chair back, you cannot get out of your seat at an upright angle. You have to significantly bend your body. To not loose your balance, you have to grab on to the seat in front of you and that disturbs the other passenger. If they're sleeping, they can be woken up by that. Lufthansa does not care much for its passengers. Nor do many other companies, for that matter, but I think Lufthansa is taking things further than most airlines. It is a disgrace. Their brand is not what it once was."

Nevýhody: "The entertainment system in my seat was not working. The crew was very helpful in terms of trying to fix the issue, but unfortunately the system was not fixed. The seats were difficult to push back. We tried several times to push back the seat for the passenger travelling with me, however the seat would not go as far as everyone else's. Unfortunately the flight was not as comfortable for her as it was for the rest of my party traveling with me. For such a large aircraft, Lufthansa should consider boarding economy by seat section. For example, starting with the persons who sit in the back first and then forward. It would speed up the boarding process and alleviate any lines in the aisles in the aircraft. Last but not least, my parties baggage was not transferred during our quick layover from Frankfurt to Krakow. Priority should be given to passengers whose final destination is not Frankfurt. We found out that our luggage's remained in Frankfurt when our names were called by baggage pickup in Krakow. The attendant who was helping us was very cold and treated us as of we were the ones who caused this inconvenience through his tone of voice, as well as his short comments. Lufthansa needs to work on their customer service in Krakow. We were rushed by the agent and it seemed like he wanted to get rid of us asap even though there was no line. We needed to understand where our baggage was and the options available to us, especially because our baggage was carrying important items for my sister in laws bacholerette party that night. We left not knowing when we were going to receive our luggage or if it would even make it to Krakow that night. We called the Number provided to us several times during the Day, however the line did not seem to be actively monitored by an individual. The website we were provided to track our luggage offered little to no insight on the whereabouts of our luggage. We finally found out that the luggage had arrived in Krakow and would be sent by carrier. The carrier arrived late in the evening, right before we were leaving for the bachelorette party thankfully. Better communication in these types of situations would greatly alleviate the stress one feels when their luggage is missing. Aldo surprised that the airline doesn't distribute a care package (I.e. toothbrush, paste, facewash) to passengers whose luggage was left behind."

Nevýhody: "I am writing to you because of the poor service that I experienced with your Operations Manager in Vienna, Paola Contestabile. I travel internationally four to five times a year for the past decade and I have never had such awful service as for my Lufthansa Flight 2329 on Jun 14th under confirmation #62RZK3. I was on my return flight to the US with the exact same carry on baggage that I had left the US with a week earlier- a roller carry on and a backpack for my laptop. This is my standard everywhere in the world that I travel and have never had an issue. I bought a painting on my trip and checked it in. With regards to my carry on, Ms. Contestabile was insistent that I could only have one piece for carry on. I told her to get the baggage rules and I would read them to her. I am a trained lawyer and value the meaning of words and rules. I explained that I am allowed one carry on and a personal item. She argued that my backback is not a personal item and that only a "laptop" is a personal item. I again explained that my personal item was my laptop bag, the same way a purse is a personal item for a lady. She finally relented and allowed me to pass through security and passport check. I assumed that this was the end of her confusion. Little did I expect that while sitting by the gate waiting to board the plane, Ms. Contestabile would emerge again and declare in front of all of the passengers that I would not be allowed to board the flight if I did not check my backpack. I told her this is unacceptable, since she had already cleared me. She said she had changed her mind. I found this response to be ridiculous. When I asked to speak with her manager, she refused to allow it, stating "I am the manager today." Ms. Contestabile even went to the pilot of the plane and convinced him that I was a "safety concern" because I wasn't following her ridiculous interpretation of the rules. This is a pure abuse of power and a threat to true safety when a ground crew member can make such a false and baseless accusation. Luckily, a woman passenger overhearing Ms. Contestabile told me that she could not believe the way she was treating me and offered to carry my bag for me. I am requesting a formal investigation into her actions and appropriate disciplinary procedures to ensure Ms. Contestabile is not allowed to threaten another passenger again."

Staff was courteous and efficient. Boarding was 1h15 late with nearly perfect weather. Getting bags required just over 45 minutes after landing.

Air Canada board by zones. I was zone 6 the highest zone, with a window seat... Zones 1-5 boarded before me. Middle seats are zone 5 and aisle seats are zone 4. Made a very annoying boarding experience AKL -> YVR making so many people move. Boarding really needed to be improved. Food was fine but not really enough for a 13+ hour flight and the little "bread" rolls were like rocks. But was fine overall, better than previous meals/snacks Air Canada has served.

I would have expected food to be included on a 6+ hour flight. Charging outlets were only located on the collapsible TV screen in the emergency exit aisle which were required to be stowed during takeoff and landing.

When will Air Canada learn how to run an airline?"
Nevýhody: "Dirty plane, nobody bothered to wipe the tray table and Black Mold showing (extensively) at top air vents. Very uncomfortable flight. AC needs to do a Much Better job cleaning between flights!!"

Výhody: "We have been using Premium Economy on various airlines I’ve the last several years for our frequent travel between the USA and destinations in Europe and Asia. The Air Canada experience was one of the very best (along with Lufthansa). The entertainment system was superior, food was great, service was attentive and comfort was as anticipated. The availability of power for iPads and computers was more than sufficient. I’m sure that a lot of the satisfaction came from flying on a Dreamliner but Air Canada is still at the top in our minds (and future plans)."
Nevýhody: "The only complaint would be that the cabin was quite cold on our return trip. I could have been better prepared myself so I need to take most of the blame. The cabin crew did take steps to adjust the temperature but it would be unreasonable to expect the aircraft to meet the comfort expectations of every passenger. Next time I will just bring a light weight hoodie."

She got us to Winnipeg on a midnight flight and we then booked a $1400 Delta flight to Minneapolis from there. We needed to be there by 10 am to attend the legal adoption ceremony of my daughter's infant son. It was very close but we made it. Our flight got in at 1am and because a family member needs assistance we were told to wait by some parked golf carts and someone would be right over to assist, we waited as we saw all passengers walk by and flight crew and no one showed. Then decided to slowly start walking and after awhile an angel of the airport staff, I wish I got her name to thank her saw our struggling through and quickly ran to grab a wheelchair and assisted us right to our shuttle service.These are the things that make airport service more pleasant, for such a state of the art airport the experience for passengers should run a little smoother and assistance to those that need it should be readily available. I must say, with all the travel I do, apart from 1 young lade, the flight attendants acted like they loathed being there. It is so disappointing especially b/c I am Canadian so it is a bit embarrassing that Air Canada seems to have such terrible service. 6. The flight attendants were out of a lot of things, I heard them mention several beverages they were out of throughout the flight. I also heard them say that there will be no hot beverages while seatbelt sign is on (which it was a lot). I guess that is reasonable, however, it is the first time I have encountered that on the place. Instead they directed to passengers to come up to the back of the plane to get a hot beverage when the seatbelt sign was off. I did a few times - 1st time they said they were out of cups and to stop by later. But 2nd time had the cups. Did these cups get magically delivered midair or perhaps maybe they just needed to bring cups from the storage on the place and could have given me an option to wait while they retrieve them. 2nd time when I stopped by to try to get a hot beverage, a lady with black hair just gave me an empty cup. The whole experience with this flight was confusing - some attendants seemed not to understand fully what passengers were asking."

Výhody: "It is apparent that United is working to improve their customer service and efficiency - factors which have deterred me from using United in the past. FROM SFO TO CANCUN: First of all, the check-in procedure is very quick these days. At SFO, there is a curb-side check in, which also allows customers to pay the baggage fee and drop off the bag right there. I've used this in the past during busy airport hours. This time, I flew overnight, so I used the self-check kiosks in front of the check-in counters to check-in, pay the baggage fee, and print my ticket. I used the check-in line to check in my suitcase. The line was so minimal and moved so quickly, (as did security), I was at the gate in 30 min (from the SFO BART station). I rarely fly United because the check-in lines used to be very long and slow. In the past, I've missed more than one flight due to extraordinarily long check-in lines. I'm glad to see on the last 3 flights I've taken with United, this has changed for the better. FROM CANCUN TO SFO: I was happy to see that Cancún also has kiosks for self-check-in. It wouldn't allow me to check my bag, though, and I had to wait in a slow line to do so. Still, a much improved check-in compared to past experiences. *I should note: the slow line had 8 people in it and took 25 minutes. With many people, United Cancun lines have been known to take over 2 hrs. This was a Thursday afternoon on January 8. I'm not sure what the line would have looked like the Saturday before . . . BOTH FLIGHTS: The stewardesses did come by several times (as opposed to once on other airlines), offering water, which was appreciated. Finally, United tends to offer multiple flights at cheaper prices and more convenient times than other airlines. However, I still prefer flying other airlines - despite the increased cost - for the reasons below."

The video system on the back of the headrest in front of me did not work on either flight (there or back), and no snack of any kind was offered on the afternoon 4.5 hr flight back from Cancun to SFO. A mini bag of salted peanuts were offered on the overnight flight from SFO to Cancun. But these were the least of my concerns. Deplaning was slow and long when we arrived at Cancun. We waited with the plane door closed, and the air off, for about 10 minutes. It was a hot, humid, uncomfortable wait. Deplaning took a long time due to the small, cramped seats (see description below). On the return flight to SFO, we waited on the runway in line with other planes. While this is not the fault of United, it did make passengers more anxious to deplane. Opening the plane doors took a long time, and exiting the plane even longer because people were slow getting out of their seats and recovering their bags from the storage bins. I saw people struggling to crab-walk out to the isle on "dead legs" (the floor space between seats is so minimal, no one can stand up straight, and must grab the seat in front of him/her to shuffle out to the isle - a difficult task for the elderly, or when carrying purses as big as carry-ons, sleeping toddlers, or babies). The seats were extraordinarily hard and small on both flights. I fit in the seat just fine, but had no leg space, and could not recline. In effect, I was forced to fly the entire time in an upright position, sitting on a rock-hard seat that felt like thin plastic-leather stretched over metal bars. I'm a young 40yr old traveler of normal size (5'4") and health (135 lbs), yet it was extremely uncomfortable sitting on that seat with no way to redistribute weight. I had pain in my legs for over 24 hrs after flying United from Cancun to SFO. I flew 6 round trips to Miami and Mexico City last year from SFO and never had this happen. I've flown to Peru and Miami direct - and much more comfortably - on other airlines.
