Výhody: "I had never heard of Qatar Airways before I booked a 24hr flight to and from Sydney, Australia. I only did this on the suggestion from a friend that stated Qatar Airways was "alright". So for the price I thought what the heck! I was extremely pleased with the service from the cabin crew. They are always polite, professional, and well trained compared to my previous favorites Delta and Lufthansa. The seats were comfortable (as comfortable as Economy and 24hours of flying can be), the entertainment and aircraft were state of the art, and the food was outstanding for airline food. If I get the chance in the future I will definitely choose Qatar Airways for long trips."

I understand they are trying to squeeze as much money out of their flights as possible but it was to the point of such severe discomfort that my right knee still hurts half a week later. The reason that it hurts so much is that there was a post through the right half of the leg room under my seat, which was already super limited to begin with. DO NOT GET A WINDOW SEAT, WHATEVER YOU DO. It was a 7 hour flight and I was SO MUCH PAIN. Horrific. The flight staff was rude. I will never fly Qatar again under ANY circumstances. I would rather travel months by boat, or even walk for years on end then go through that 7 hour experience. Qatar's cheapness lost them a customer!"

Yet when I call to retrieve them they are "nowhere to be found" so you're telling me out of those 2 women, the Indian gentleman, the black woman & the other Asian woman back there didn't notice a clipboard when I was the only person back there trying to use the toilet or they simply threw a wooden and metal clipboard away ?? With what was clearly paperwork clipped onto it ? The girl at the service desk of Qatar airways claims to have looked herself. But she was rushing me off of the phone so I don't feel like she remotely cared even a little. I am PAST unhappy. So thank you for throwing my paperwork away I know for sure was left behind. Very thorough team."

Don't get me wrong we were thankful that countries are doing their due diligence to stop bad people with ill intentions, but it did stress us out that we weren't going to make out flight. Our return flight back to the states: This is more of a suggestion for the Sri Lankan airport - They were unorganized, we were asked for boarding passes before we even entered the airport, which we did not have, security seemed to be all over the place and half assed. Our bags went through the security machines and were supposed to be marked security checked, however they were not.. Once we got up to ticketing they made us go back through security to get those stickers on our bag. Not a reflection of Qatar airways, but any airline flying to Sri Lanka should put pressure on the airport to organize their security efforts better."

If you want to do it for security reason do it ( I want to be safe) but don’t do it for the check mark , it doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t protect us."

Then when we got to the airport there were long lines to check in and no machines to self check in. When we finally got to the front of the line the woman said we had to pay for our checked baggage elsewhere and then come back for the boarding passes. Unheard of elsewhere. The people in the office where you pay for checked baggage took their time and chatted and had no sense of urgency. The first woman we spoke to apparently filled out the form incorrectly. We had to rush to get to the plane and we barely made it through long security lines. We almost missed the plane due to the lack of early information and check in, the cumbersome payment process, etc. It was the worst check in process ever."

When landing it was very difficult to find anyone working for Swiss to assist me. Then someone told me that my flight would be leaving in 3 minutes. I asked to be rushed through line, but everyone said not too worry because plane would wait for me. When I arrived at gate there was no one there. Then it took quite a while to find another Swiss employee to help me. There seemed to be a lot of confusion."

Nevýhody: "My chair was stuck in the fully reclined position for a good portion of the flight and my wife's chair was constantly being knocked into by the passenger behind her because his seat was too short for him. When the seat in front of me was reclined, the screen was only a few inches from my face. There was a loud, obnoxious passenger next to me who almost got into a fistfight with another passenger until the stewardess came to calm him down."

Nevýhody: "So little elbow room in center aisle that it was quite challenging to eat meals. Not enough lavatories, so they were in continual use, preventing any chance of rest. We were 3 aisles away in darkened cabin, but the flashes of light bright enough to read by and loud CLACKS of door latch when the door opened & closed kept us up the whole flight."
Výhody: "Entertainment, movies music were good selections. We enjoyed them. Although the headphones jack socket for my wife;s seat didn't work properly. They should maintain their equipment better."
Nevýhody: "In Zurich if you travel to US or Canada, they have just before the gates some security check that ONLY verifies the passport. It seemed weird to me. Why are they not excluding transferring passengers from this nightmare. Because it is a nightmare. Long and disorganized lines where travelers, that have diverse leaving times, are trying to enter 4 check points that work slow and nobody manages all that mess. On the plane, absolute unnecessarily (they had extra unoccupied seats) they took one of our carry-on-s with the check in luggage. The seats are extremely tight and offer a very small place for the economy class. Nothing special about the food."
Výhody: "The extra level of Swiss security at the gate. The highly professional cabin crew. The inflight food service was well above the norm. The demeanor of the flight deck crew was exceptional. I'm going to try and fly Swiss whenever possible now."

Výhody: "I've come to love SWISS. Everything is efficient from check in to boarding to take off to landing. The pilot would say something over the PA like "flight attendants prepare for take off in 2 minutes" and literally two minutes later we were taking off. The phrase "runs like a Swiss watch" is an idiom for a reason. The seats were comfortable with a decent amount of legroom, even in economy. You get fed on the flight...even a short two hour flight everyone got a little sandwich. It's not much but if I were on a flight at home in Canada I wouldn't be getting anything. There was also complimentary drinks, including beer and wine on board. Plus you get a little Swiss chocolate for your flight. I love SWISS."
Nevýhody: "Downside to this flight is there isn't any seatback entertainment system. There are a few tv screen that were playing some funny cat videos kind of deal. There's also no plugins or chargers on your flight. So make sure to have your electronics charged before you board, and bring something to do for your flight. There is an inflight SWISS magazine to read, but if you are on a longer flight you'll want something else as well."

The only currency exchange is on the other side of passport control so you have to use one of the ATMs and they only give you $100. The staff is unprofessional and seems clueless when you ask them for help. The kiosks are a nightmare and working with them is worse than working with the people. They freeze, and glitch and many of them just flat out don't work. Probably one of the worst airports I've ever been to."

Maybe a bowling ball? I was torn between wanting to get off the ground, and being terrified that they would take off without checking out whatever the heck that sound was. Apparently, they did check it out. We pulled over to a maintenance spot and sat there for a while before we took off. If there was anything I didn't like about the flight, it was that there was no announcement about what had happened and what they were doing about it. But I'm nosey."

Everyone around me also looked very uncomfortable and also had their eating trays down the entire flight because of this. When I got up to ask the flight attendant where I could put my trash, she barely spoke English and told me to go back to my seat without understanding my question. I looked around because sometimes they leave a bag for trash but there was nothing in the cabin. When I arrived in Moscow I waited for my transfer to Warsaw, upon arriving I checked the gate number and waited about two hours. Vigilantly checking every hour or so, I then saw that my connection had changed its gate number. I went to the info kiosk to confirm this and the woman confirmed I was correct. Waiting at the new gate, I accidentally fell asleep having not slept the entire previous flight with an empty tray of food in my lap. Upon waking I saw that people were starting to board the airplane about 15 minutes before the flight was scheduled to leave. I wanted to wait until the line was a bit shorter so I stayed seated until it was shorter. Only then I looked at the clock--it was five minutes after we were scheduled to depart and there was still a queue so I got up to see what was going on. I looked at the gate and saw that it had changed to Vienna in the twenty minutes that I was asleep. As a result I missed my flight, which although I do believe was in part my fault for not getting up sooner. The man at the info kiosk who I tried to buy a new ticket from was very rude and just kept saying, "it's your fault, It's your fault, you missed it it isn't our fault" when I wasn't being accusatory and simply explained what happened. He organized a new plane ticket for me the next morning and just walked away before he gave it to me, with no explanation. Unsure, I followed him and he was said, "No, no, ask her!" and pointed to the lady sitting next to him, who gave me a confused look. I then approached her but she spoke no English and through another kiosk person I translated what I needed: for her to print out the tickets he had arranged. She printed them out and kept speaking to me in Russian with a dismissive tone, and before handing them to me she made a face at me, rolled her eyes and looked up in the air before holding the tickets aloft in her hand towards me. The rudeness of the service people at the desk was astonishing, considering that I was not angry and very patiently explained what had happened while accepting responsibility for missing my flight. I arrived in Poland and my one check in bag was missing.When I finally went back to get it, all the contents had been rifled through and the zipper cut."

The boarding agent (Czech lady and her supervisor) were not only rude but obviously lacked knowledge as well. My carry-on suitcase would easily fit in the overhead bin plus there was plenty of space inside the plane as it the flight wasn’t completely full."

In Paris, but ONLY after I located my receipt on my phone, they moved us to the seats we had paid for."

After being stuck in New York (reasons beyond Delta's control so we are understanding of that) however the Delta airport crew (3 different sources, continued to give us the wrong information resulting in us staying in the airport an additional 2 hours after everyone else had left. Finally went to a 4th person who was able to resolve the issue within 5 minutes. This was the worst flight experience in my entire 50 years on earth. The level of incompetence with some of the Delta airport staff is beyond excusable. Even after our issue was resolved, the worse two of the lot were still giving out wrong information to passengers telling them there were no hotels in ALL OF NEW YORK and they would have to stay in the airport."
