Nevýhody: "Swiss Air allowed us to book a flight with 45 minutes to connect. First flight came in a few mixtures late, but then we had to wait our long turn to deplane, get on bus and wait for it to fill up with all slower passengers, drive to terminal, make it through passport control, take train to other terminal, and run 20 gates down where they were looking for us. We made it with 1 minute to spare from takeoff. They knew our bags were connecting and they made it. If they could've expedited our passage with a club car it would have been excellent."

From the comfortable seats, the fabulous dinner, the outstanding Swiss staff from the baggage check to the wonderful flight attendants, the flight to Zürich and the return trip to Boston was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Swiss. I would love to be able to fly Swiss Business again when I travel to Zürich in September 2019."

The A340s used on this route are getting a little on the old side, and the once state of the art in seat entertainment system has a tendency to crash frequently and require lengthy reboots."

Nevýhody: "I landed at Zurich airport at 6am with an 11 hour wait and tried to get onto an earlier us bound flight. The ground crew were awful and rude!. The dint make any effort to smile, look at me in the face or ask how I was doing!. Instead she took one look at my ticket and said “ sorry you bought through an agent, I can’t help you”. When I tried to ask if in future it is advisable to book through Swiss airlines directly, the customer service agent looked at me and said “ that’s your problem”- then she turned to her friend and kept talking! Honestly! . The airport terminal E is grey, drab and boring. No TV and only 2 hour of WiFi. I was told I had to pay to use one of their lounges just to get a recliner chair to lay my head for 11 hours. I felt like I was in a holding cell- and the flight was delayed by an hour, had a gate change that they dint tell us till less than 1hour- boy was I glad to leave Zurich!. If that is Swiss hospitality, they have a long way to go. Save your money and use another airline. You will be much happier- trust me."
Výhody: "The most difficult problem I have to deal with in airline transportation occurs when the fellow traveler in the seat in front of me decides to drop their seat back into my lap. The seats are so close together that when the seat in front of you is all the way back the following happens: 1. You can no longer view the monitor on the seat back. 2. You cannot eat or write from your tray top. 3. You have great difficulty getting out of your seat. 4. You have great difficulty keeping from severely injuring the occupant of that seat. The way to deal with this is to get out of your seat. Stand in front of the offending passenger and as politely as you can as him or her to refrain from dropping the seat back so far. But the airline should not put you in this situation."
Výhody: "Unlike some airlines the cabin crew is professional in appearance and behavior- courteous and pleasant. My husband and I enjoy the fact that ski equipment is taken without additional charge. The direct flight to Zurich is very convenient."

When I did the check in in Prague and got my boarding pass the told me that the system picked me to have the additional random checkup at Zurich airport. Its ok. If it’s done for security reason why to tell the people ahead of time that they will have additional checkup of bags and personal stuff. If you want to do it for security reason do it ( I want to be safe) but don’t do it for the check mark , it doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t protect us."

It looked to me like Swiss Air knew we were running close as the flight rarely (if ever) leaves on time. It was stressful for us and for the 30+ others who were still in line in immigration when the flight time passed. It turned out to not be a problem but the published times are unrealistic. Seats were tight and comfort in cattle class is NON Existent sleep on an 8 hour flight was not even possible."
Výhody: "EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME BEFORE THE PLANE EVEN TOOK OFF!! My flights somehow got real messed up and everything down to my luggage had to be input manually. I wasn't sure if it was going to make it with me to the final destination. But it did! The head rest blew me away just as i sat. I love to know I can fall asleep and not have neck problems. And everything from the movies to the service to the food was great! My first international yet BEST experience in economy class was all worth it!"

The staff speaks impeccable English, there is much more leg room than on flights with American companies, and it is so pleasant to get pillows, blankets, headphones, drinks (including wine), snacks and 2 meals on our international flight and not feel nickle and dimed the way we do now on domestic flights."

Nevýhody: "Because there was no way for us to check in early or online and they did not send us an email directing us to do so, they put us on standby even though the flights were paid for months before. We couldn't sit together--they wouldn't even try, they let the computer do it randomly as we boarded. They put my son through ridiculous strip search security measures, and when my passport fell into to the steel bullet of a garbage can, they didn't help and my son and I figure out how to go through it to get my passport. They could not have been more unhelpful. Plus the food was terrible, and delays both in taking off and getting to the gate. I will NEVER fly Swiss Air again."

Výhody: "Decent food, for airline food. I didn't starve for the 8 hours, and the included beer/wine/spirits helps a lot. Entertainment system was enough to help pass the time. This flight had USB chargers...had I known, I would have loaded up my mobile with watchable entertainment."

Since I had passed through passport control, I didn't think I would need to go through again just before boarding. I was in line, ready to have my boarding pass scanned when I was told I needed to have my passport checked! I had to step out of line, go back and get my passport checked, then go back in line to board! I could not get an assigned seat until I got to Zurich. I needed an aisle seat (I had a bladder infection and would need to use the toilet often). It was left up to me to negotiate with my neighbor to switch seats--- the crew would not help at all. I was cramped in my seat. The man in front of me put his chair too far back; I was difficult to work on my laptop with so little room between me and the table. The snack was horrible---uncooked, tasteless calzone and ice cream."
Výhody: "The staff was friendly and accommodating. I LOVE that we were given ice cream and chocolate - only wish I'd been given more chocolate. They came by with drinks often and made sure that we were well hydrated."
Nevýhody: "The boarding process took a long time. I had to go through customs, then at the gate they checked my passport again and the line was VERY long. The process just did not seem to be managed very well. There were issues with the tv monitors; however, the crew handled it very well. I wish we had been given an option with the calzones - I don't like red peppers or tomatoes, and was not offered another option."

Nevýhody: "Through no fault of the airline, there was a strong thunderstorm that delayed our flight. Little information was provided about the situation. It was obvious that we could not fly in the storm, but we were not informed about the likely departure time. The reason I gave a poor ranking is that my suitcase/pack must have been left out in the downpour on the top of the pile so all of my clothes were extremely wet when I reached Boston. The bag itself was wet so it was not a case of something leaking in the bag. I have had to wash all of the clothes and iron them."

Our luggage was severely damaged. The handle to the suitcases was torn off. In addition the bags and the contents were wet when we received them in Boston. IT had been raining in Istanbul and it seems the bags were left out in the open. I've been trying to get Turkish to repair the torn-off handles but I'm constantly hitting a wall. I have filed a claim but the support staff sends extremely brief denials with no explanation."

It was 5am with hoards of people waiting just to go through a tiny security because they closed the entrance for international transfers. No lines and direction whatsoever. It took two hours just to go through simple sercurity. My flight gate, number, and info to Boston was not even posted on the departure screen so I almost missed my flight- I had to go multiple times across the airport to find anyone to ask. The employees were rude and unhelpful. They did not assist or direct anyone or any of the chaos and they were slow and lacked any understanding to people whose flight was ten minutes till take off. Really unimpressed and highly considering avoiding taking them again to the Middle East in the future."

Nevýhody: "You need to buy a visa if you want to enter the country and they only accept USD, Euros or GBP. The only currency exchange is on the other side of passport control so you have to use one of the ATMs and they only give you $100. The staff is unprofessional and seems clueless when you ask them for help. The kiosks are a nightmare and working with them is worse than working with the people. They freeze, and glitch and many of them just flat out don't work. Probably one of the worst airports I've ever been to."

Over an hour in a terminal with lacking a/c. I want to say it was worth the price, but no. Was the worse flight I have ever been on."
Výhody: "I liked the idea of offering a tour of Istanbul during long connections that Turkish airlines offer. The tour that I went on was a 2.5 hour bus ride with sightseeing from the window mostly - still it was very nice. The people organizing passengers in groups for the tour in the airport however were not so nice. When I said "I have a question", the guy literally ROLLED HIS EYES at me."
Nevýhody: "The crew was somewhat rude and unwelcoming, both in the plane and on the ground. The seat is not comfortable in comparison with other transatlantic flights - somehow the crew and the seats were so much better on my connecting TK flight within Europe."

I was not able to and had to wait in a very long line both in Istanbul and in the US. I understand the change in regulations, but it is important that all employees of Turkish airlines are aware of the change. We also waited one hour on the runway in Istanbul. Additionally, there was a small section of the plane which received food roughly an hour later than the rest of the plane. I was on this section, and was uncomfortably hungry by the time I received food."

Sit down to stares. Without doing anything So begins the ogling Not for beauty or glasses But because of his right to look in any direction he pleases. The drink cart comes by Soft drinks only Stuttered English behind Only a sweet belch of coca cola Released, bubbling an unfettered expression shared across all languages. (but do they share my disgust?) Oh to fly, to find a cab to drive in the big city."

Nevýhody: "Our departure flight (BOS-IST) was changed 6 weeks after our booking, so our 2.5-hour layover became 10 hours. This happened before in my past experience with Turkish Airlines. There were many babies and small kids, so the noise level was high. Not ideal if you want to get some sleep on the flight."

Later that night, we found our second flight HAD taken off, despite every single airline and airport staffer insisting that all flights were cancelled. We could have been home for New Year’s Eve instead of stuck in an airport. The next day, we still got mixed signals about how to check in. Then we found we had been given seats rows apart, despite being one booking. To be honest, we haven’t even taken this flight yet. Our rebooked flight on the following day is hours late and we’re waiting for it now. But I already know enough to post that I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."

Staff not looking out for phone use. Then he was receiving text as we landed in Boston and never even bothered to put on his seat belt. Again staff did not notice. I travel a lot and normally air crew notice these things. Booked to carry skis via the Lufthansa US call center and was told there was a special offer and they were free for US bound flights. This was great news as I had assumed I had to pay. On bag check-in the associate told me they had booked them as golf clubs not skis. She also did not agree skis were free and spent 15 minutes reading the details of the contract and talking with an associate. She was polite but firm about it and I had to pay Euro100 to get them checked in."

The food was mediocre, at best, but at least the cocktails were not an upcharge. Enough alcohol can make just about any food palatable."

In mid season a week before departure, we were notified about the change and it was impossible to get a same priced ticket so close to departure. Nevýhody: "Waiting in the que was very disorganized and took up the entire hallway. I didn't like running through the airport since the gate closed 5 minutes before I got off the plane from London even though the flight was almost 2 hours later."
Nevýhody: "My seat was changed and I was in the middle seat, not the window seat I had selected weeks earlier. My brother and his daughter had their seats changed, too, and they were in middle seats 14 rows apart, so she flew by herself on an international flight all by hersel! My headphones wouldn't work correctly in the double jack, only getting one side. Why change the plugs? The flight attendant said that they wouldn't work and that she would get me a headset. Two hours into the flight I finally got a headset. The male flight attendant was great, but unfortunately we were dealing with others that totally ignored my two small requests for the entire 6 hour flight. Our flight to Dublin was awesome, but this flight back was very very disappointing!! Changed my while feeling about Aer Lingus"
Výhody: "Aircrew was good."
Nevýhody: "I never realized that Aer Lingus was actually a budget airline until I flew them. Price was right, but lack of leg room and things like charging for things other airlines do not, should be factored in when choosing them. There was a 2.5 hour delay and I think that passengers should have received some compensation for that. A voucher or at least a free drink, nada."
Nevýhody: "unable to contact Aer Lingus with question dealing with clearing customs once we land in the U. S. we were on hold for over an hour"
Nevýhody: "The crew looked completely unhappy. There was only one crew member smiling. The flight was delayed by about an hour due to food. I feel if we are paying for a flight that is 7+ hours the crew should at the very least fake a smile."
Výhody: "Lovely fight attendants and good food!"
Nevýhody: "Seats are too small -- and I am not a big person, only 5'5" and 125 lbs. But too hard to sleep or stay in that tiny space for 6 hours."

Výhody: "Great movie selection, good food variety (healthy and varied choices), and sufficient space in the seats."
Nevýhody: "I didn't get to choose my seat ahead of time for some reason (but luckily ended up with a seat I was very happy with, with an empty seat beside me)."
Výhody: "nothing"
Nevýhody: "even smaller seats, more cramped than the previous flight and even more children crying"
Výhody: "No delays!"
Nevýhody: "Absolutely no leg room. Was uncomfortable for the whole duration. Person behind me was not happy that I reclined my seat and was vocal about it while the person in front of me was completely reclined and I'm a small person. Heck, I paid for the the seat and should be able to move my seat back without any issues. Still very smuched. Extra leg room shouldn't be a premium."
Výhody: "Crew were very polite & attentive, food & entertainment were also good"
Nevýhody: "The main problem was that where I was sitting was to cool. All three women in my row were cold. At one point about half way through it warmed up but then it cooled down again. I was wearing a fleece jacket & had a blanket but was still cold. Of course row 28 sees a lot of traffic & noise from the lavatories so that wasn't fun but the cold was the main problem."
Výhody: "Crew was friendly. Boarding was efficient."

Výhody: "Temperature was good. Fortunately the seat next to me was empty which always makes it more comfortable if only the person in front of me did not move her seat back - that makes it difficult to get up. Movie choices were good and the individual screen was good for watching and could be paused."
Nevýhody: "International flights usually include wine with their meal but this would have been an overpriced purchase. The selection of food was marginal and too spicy, only the dessert was edible. Not the quality of the last trip on aer Lingus. There was a second snack sandwich although soggy and unappealing with a minimal slice of chicken."
Výhody: "It is nice to pass customs in Europe during preboarding"
Nevýhody: "Web check in was severely broken or misprogrammed during my two weeks of travel. This would not have mattered if they had simply assigned seats at the time of purchase. I bought tickets 8 months in advance for a family of 4. On our overnight flight we were shoved in to nonreclining seats in front of the noisiest bulkhead service area I have ever encountered. None of the 5 phone reps or onsight staff were able to help and were nasty into the bargain. One of them lied to me about the seat position on the phone. The staff made no attempt to keep things quiet on the flight and in fact made most of the noise themselves. The armrests can't be folded up because they crammed too many seats across. And the bathrooms right on either end of our row wafted noxious odors over us every time they were opened. This resulted in losing two days of my expensive vacation trying to recover from lack of sleep. This is in return for giving Aer Lingus the use of $4200 for 8 months. I would never use this airline again."
Nevýhody: "Very uncomfortable!"
Výhody: "Boarding was easy. I appreciated the meal and drinks I got without having to pay for it."
Nevýhody: "The entertainment had a lot of options- TV shows, movies and games but none were really accessible to me as a Deaf person- no captions. and as for the game I needed a console which I could have asked for. I tried at one point but the attendants didn't help me. So I just gave up and read my book on my iPad. Also, it seemed to take forever to get my bags. I know it was a big plane and there were a lot of us waiting, but it still seemed to take longer than expected."
Výhody: "Free wifi card but it was too slow to stream"

Výhody: "plane, crew, food, entertainment, comfort were great."
Nevýhody: "Check-in (or lack of web check-in) is a big minus."

Nevýhody: "For some unknown reason, I wasn't able to select my seat upon booking my flight. Perhaps this is because I booked through Kayak instead of directly on the Aer Lingus website. Because I was traveling with a friend, I wanted to choose a seat next to him. I could not figure out how to select a seat. The choice was not available through Kayak or through Aer Lingus. I e-mailed two Aer Lingus addresses, one kayak/vayama customer service address, tweeted at Aer Lingus and even sent them a facebook message. When I called Aer Lingus, I had to wait on hold for an HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES before anyone answered the phone. They said that I couldn't pre-choose my seat and that I had to select it at the airport. Well, when I got to the airport, the Aer Lingus staff said that wasn't true and that the only seat left was in the very back of the plane. Far away from my friend. What a waste of time. This airline was extremely unorganized. Choosing a seat seems to be a rather simple thing to do on every other airline."
Výhody: "Overall nothing. I requested Aisle seat & Veg food through Etihad Helpline before commencement of my journey. But Aer Lingus crew refused to listen it saying they didn't receive any instruction from Etihad."
Nevýhody: "Their attitude"
Nevýhody: "We had to go to the Aer Lingus counter in Dublin to do seat selection for the remaining leg of the journey as this wasn't an option in Budapest."
Nevýhody: "We landed at Logan early, but then had to wait for a gate. We still arrived at the gate a little ahead of schedule."
Výhody: "Airline does great job of check in-lots of assistance available to move you quickly through airport."
Nevýhody: "Some of the flight attendants were rude to other passengers-embarrassing to listen to. Food mediocre, have to pay for drinks on transatlantic flights. Slow to pick up food trays. Boarding a bit chaotic. Definitely feels like a budget airline but compared to U.S. Budget carriers, they could use some work on customer service."
Výhody: "Free movies"
Nevýhody: "No leg room"
