Nevýhody: "I had a 22 hour layover. On the website, Turkish Airlines advertises they cover hotel rooms for anyone with a layover exceeding 15 hours. However, it's impossible to get a e-visa to allow Americans to leave the airport to take advantage of this. There is one hotel inside the airport, however it's extremely expensive and booked well in advance. While the service was decent on the plane, inside the airport the TA employee's were very rude and not at all helpful. So be prepared to spend the night on the floor or an uncomfortable bench. Won't fly on this airline ever again."

I sat down 5 rows or so behind the exit. 15 min later the attendant started moving children from the exit rows to different seats. I raised my hand to be placed in the exit row but was ignored. The flight attendants were slow and rude. I asked for two white wines with my food, and was looked at with disgust. I was told that I can have one, and when I finished it, I could have the second one. I said ok. Well 30 MINUTES later I touch the attendant button and no one came. Finally after 5 min someone came to take my order. She quickly came back and said they were out of wine. This was a very disappointing flight."

You feel like a first class traveller in economy when you compare to a similar booking with other european airlines."
Nevýhody: "Because of the fact that they are a part of star alliance I thought that we would be stacked like economy cargo as done with lufthansa, swiss, sas, austrian etc., but turkish airlines completely lives up to and is the star in that alliance, something their partners can learn from."

Once I got to to gates A50-69 I was told that i had to turn back and go through a different passport control as the one close to gates A50-69 was too busy/full. So I turned back although i had no specific gate number where the passport control was. Once I got there, after 10 mins walking (around gate Z20) around and asking lufthansa staff I came across a rather long queue. At that point I only had 30 mins until my flight to Budapest was boarding. I knew I would not get through that queue on time and there was no assistance. So I decided to turn nack and go back to gates A50-69 assport cobtrol where luckily there was no queue at all. I do not understand why i was turned away by staff the very first time I got to that passport control and why there was no assistance by airport staff. Not happy at all about that."

When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

Eventually routed via Lisbon which meant literally flying all night to arrive at 0600. Lufthansa and Austrian have some serious faults to correct."

This caused physiological damage for me, as I been treated like an animal 3- I was asked to pay for my new ticket ( Dussloff - Istanbul-Amman )"

The noise cancelling headsets were good quality noise cancelling, and comfortable. I can't wear some other airlines headsets at all and use my ear pods with an airline adapter jack."

When I arrived at the airport, the check in was a mess (ton of people, everyone was taking forever at the counter) and when I FINALLY arrived at the counter, I was informed that I needed to take a handwritten receipt from the check in counter, go up a floor and wind through a few corridors to find some travel agent (?) desk to pay 40 Euros for my checked bag. Which actually was 48 Euros because I needed to use a card, and was not paying by cash. After I managed to find the desk where I needed to pay, I had to wind my way back downstairs and muscle my way back into the line I had already waited in to finish the check in process. When we arrived in Split, 25% of the flight was missing their bags, which included a member of the party I was traveling with. It took an extra 30 minutes at the airport to file a missing bag claim, and another 38 hours for the bag to finally arrive. Not a great way to spend the few days we had in Split."

Nevýhody: "Our flight to Dubrovnik was diverted to Split due to weather. That's fine, not in control of the airline, but how they handled the situation was miserable. First of all, nearly half of the luggage for the plane was left in Venice. This is a tiny plane with less than 100 people. It's not that difficult to recognize when there is luggage missing. Then, upon arriving and recognizing the luggage wasn't there, we were basically told, "don't worry about it." What? I'm 6,000 miles from home with no clothes and they don't even know where the luggage is at that time! The airline coordinated a bus to Dubrovnik from Split. It's about a 3.5 hour drive and left around midnight. No consideration of how some people might not be able to check into lodging at that time, no compensation for a hotel for the night, and they barely gave us any time to figure out what was happening to make sure getting on the bus was the right decision. The bus driver tried to leave without two of our party because they were *taking too long at the lost luggage desk to report the luggage the airline lost* ! I had to stand in the doorway of the bus to keep him there. The day after finally getting to our destination, I tried to call customer service to check on the luggage situation. THREE times I was asked to hold while they got someone else and was immediately hung up on. I only finally received contact from someone by email two days later. The airline did deliver the luggage to the hotel, finally, but they delivered it to the WRONG hotel and I had to Uber there and back to get it. All-in-all a 1.5 hour cheap flight turned into a 7 hour travel day and cost hundreds of euros more than it was supposed to. Horrible experience."

We wanted to remove some stuff to avoid the bulging but refused us to do so, insisting that we checked it in and pay EUR 70.00 otherwise she will refuse to board us. We felt intimated and had no other choice but pay up or lose our connecting from Paris. Hence, the bad review, otherwise our experience with the flight and crew were excellent. Hope you can help us get a refund from that unnecessary EUR 70 expense."

Nevýhody: "The seats are so incredibly small for a long haul flight. Two people must compete for shoulder space, as there simply isn't enough room for both to sit back completely. Constant elbow issues and a feeling of being locked into a small space. I've never been so happy to exit from a flight. Note that on the JFK-BUD-JFK route, LOT subcontracts to a low-cost Portuguese airline, so this plane isn't configured for a trans-Atlantic flight, at least not for a minimal level of comfort. Never again. Pay more for a decent seat on another carrier! And take a large bottle of water, as they're not at all generous with the water, soda, and juice. My seatmate and I were parched and couldn't wait to clear customs so as to buy a bottle of water."
