I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Nevýhody: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."
Výhody: "As expected from JAL, the flight was amazing in every way. The food (the Japanese meal) was not typical airline food, it was actually very good. The courtesy packets had many useful items including eye refreshers, lip balm, and the bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked with both mouthwash and toothbrush/paste. All together as flawless and comfortable an experience as possible on a commercial carrier."

I had a rather unsettled stomach so when the food service came I wasn't hungry. I told the flight attendant, and she brought me some very bland easy to eat food without me even asking. She then checked on me constantly to see how I was feeling, and suggested sparkling water. When I deplaned, she checked one more time with me, if they could do anything. I was feeling much better, and give this airline my highest endorsement."

Výhody: "I had a most pleasant experience flying from New York, NY to Kiev, Ukraine. Everything about the service was just right. Thank you for your kindness and attention to detail. From now on I will only fly Turkish Airlines when going to Kiev."

Nevýhody: "A very rude ticket sales woman in Turkish Airline Kiosk, wandering an airport for two hours due to untrained staff and Turkish Airlune "help desk", being cheated out of $400, and finding my baggage smashed up."

Nevýhody: "The fact that the boarding was by bus and not through a sleeve detracts from the process."
Nevýhody: "I lost my connection flight because of TA, they lost my luggage + they almost lost my passport... (it goes much deeper but I don't wanna dig in it)"
Výhody: "Safety and comfort. The people were so nice."
Nevýhody: "What I didn't like was when Turkish Airlines told us that in order to get free hotel and free transportation because our layover was 13+ hours we must buy Turkish entry visas which costs us $200.00. The visas should've been free because we were on transit."

Výhody: "Turkish Airlines has some of the best amenities of any airline: great meals (and often), clean planes, plus two free checked bags for flights between Middle East and USA."
Nevýhody: "The plane was overbooked with MANY seats having been doubly assigned. After more than half an hour we were given a new seat assignment (in first class! Business class had already been filled with other double bookings!). They did their best to accommodate everyone though and the remainder of the flight was very pleasant."
Nevýhody: "I don't why the take-off and landing are late. The boarding started late! the plane stayed on the ground for minutes doing nothing! and in the end the plane arrived half an hour late!"

Nevýhody: "Flight boarded late, boarding process was chaos, and we took off two hours late. This in turn made us miss our connecting flight. We had to spend the night in Istanbul, forfeiting our luxury hotel in Venice. They wouldn't let us get our bags in Istanbul so we were unable to get toiletries or change of clothes. I will be seeking reimbursement for Venice hotel, Istanbul recruited visas, and travel inconvenience."
Výhody: "Great food. Nice clean plane. Nice staff. Well worth the money, great entertainment."
Nevýhody: "We left a bit late, but the capitan kept us informed and we were comfortable and had lots to watch and entertain us."

Nevýhody: "Seat was very uncomfortable. Stiching placement is very bad and hurts. We had to turn back and switch plane after some technical issue. We landed in Budapest with more than 3 hrs delay."
Nevýhody: "The flight TK 119 (Khi - Istanbul) reached Istanbul late by half an hour. The layover at Istanbul was 1 hr 25 m. The distance to reach Gate 504 was terribly long. I had to run all that long distance to reach gate. After passing thru security checks, etc. I was completely exhausted. All that trouble to be dropped from plane on the runway and then using bus to reach terminal building and vice versa for the onward flight TK 33, was a terrible experience. The layover time and the lengthy and tiring procedure need immediate revision and rectification. Instead of comfort, passengers get high blood pressure and exhaustion. Very troublesome experience."
Výhody: "Turkish Airlines is the best airlines we have every flown on in our international travels. The food is excellent. The service is excellent."
Výhody: "The traditional hospitality I got in flight was quite unique. Many things change but some things always remain the same. Some may call it old fashioned or not modern but then I am an old fashioned guy. It was like stepping back in time when things were always so much nicer."
Nevýhody: "Istanbul airport was very very busy and some places were not working very efficiently (security scan when you go from the plane to the transit lounge). The departure gate was overflowing in the waiting areas and the bus ride to the plane was very crowded. Aside from this Istanbul airport and the transit lounge were very pleasant."
Výhody: "The flight attendants are nice!! It was like I was in first class."
Nevýhody: "Nothing. This was the best airline experience I have ever had."
