Also, I was asked to check in my bag because "the aircraft was full" however when I got on the plane I noticed it was half-empty and there would have been ample overhead room."

If you want to do it for security reason do it ( I want to be safe) but don’t do it for the check mark , it doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t protect us."

Also I dislike the "nickel and diming" philosophy used by most airlines these days making people pay an extra $29 to reserve a specific seat. Give me a price from the beginning with a seat assignment."

Nevýhody: "We had a family of four sitting behind us. The father yelled all the time. They took up four overhead bins and he was frequently up and down getting things out of the bins. His very hairy large belly was touching my daughters head every time. He and his children punched the backs of our seats on a regular basis. My back was in constant pain and I was unable to do very many things due to the back pain during my "vacation", The flight attendants had to remind the parents that their children could not stand on the seats during takeoff or crawl around under the seats. No ability to change seats or I would have. I didn't have a problem with the other children on the flight, when they were crying their parents tried to do something. However these people brought playdough for their child to roll out or punch on the seat tray and all they did was constantly yell loudly at their children, Well not about the kicking, punching, or crawling around. Just yell in general at them."
Výhody: "Everything!! This airline is a huge breath of fresh (old?) air. It reminded me of how air travel used to be. No baggage charge - we only checked one bag. There was plenty of great food and drink - alcoholic drinks were free. We will definitely look to use SwissAir whenever possible."

Výhody: "airlines could have mentioned that the second leg would require going thru security again and would take a very long time and that I should do this immediately after disembarking even though a gate had not yet been assigned. As A consequence of an intensive interview process before boarding the international leg of the trip (initially only two reps processing everyone on the plane for a few minutes each) the plane left the gate late. It also lost another 15 -20 minutes in flight making it 30 minutes late and I missed my connection in Miami necessitating me to spend a night in a motel and finish my flight the next day."

Nevýhody: "I travel with an international carry-on designed to fit in comoartments above seats in any and all planes (Tumi alpha 2 International), and yet TAP would claim it was too large to fit and forced me to check it. My problem is not only the wait once we land, but most improtsntly that the bags are beat up in the journey. Indeed, my carry-on arrived with several scratches on the plastic edges as well as some signs of worn on the textile. Because of this carry-on baggage size restrictions, I will not fly TAP airlines again (unless I can travel with my hand purse only)."

I paid for extra leg room and then on way over made me pay to check bag (which was supposed to be free) and way back switched planes so never got extra room and had to pay for bag as well and now have to fight for my money back. I don’t like the feeling of having to always pay. If you want people to not carry on so much stop charging (especially on international flights) to check bags."
Výhody: "I loved how the entertainment was complimentary and there was a wide selection of movies, TV shows and music. I’m used to having one or maybe two movies to choose from but TAP has an entire movie library on the back of each seat. I watched 3 new releases on my 7.5 hour flight. The food was also tasty and I technically had two meals. Great job, TAP!"
Nevýhody: "The only thing that could be improved is the boarding process in the Lisbon airport. The boarding time for the flight was one hour before takeoff and the gate area was too small to hold the total number of people taking the flight. We also didn’t board until 30 min before the flight so passengers were waiting in one big crowd because it was impossible to find a seat or to even form clear lines for boarding."

Some of the TAP counter employees were very unhelpful & actually dismissive. We had gate 19 and there was no sign of activity when it was time to board. When asked some counter employees, they couldn't care less. You should post something at the gate assigned about a gate change or delay. A lot of passengers were confused and uninformed."

It turns out they could have served but preferred to adhere to their union under the guise of passenger safety and remain seated the entire flight doing crossword puzzles and the like which definitely made me feel much safer."
Nevýhody: "First flight was delayed by just a half an hour and we arrived in Portugal. We had a connecting flight to AMS with also TAP and had a two hour window to make the next flight with the same company (TAP). We were in line for passport and then security and talked to several TAP employees and they said we would be have time and wouldn't have a problem catching the second flight. Well, we got through the lines with 30 min before our next flight and they wouldn't let us on. Customer service and organization of the airline is really poor. The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed."
Nevýhody: "The sizing device is much smaller than it needs to be for carry on roller bags. My bag was forced to be checked by the ground crew on this Tap flight. My bag is a normal sized carry on bag that has always fit on all flights. There was plenty of space on the aircraft for it. The ground crew also let others on with larger bags so they dont even apply their policy in a consistent manner. I will do my best to avoid TAP from now on."
