I had paid for the suitcases, but because I was traveling alone I went there with my husband and he politely asked if they could please take the carryons on the plane because she can’t carry everything by herself. The manager came out and said that we have to pay. I said I already paid extra for my suitcases please help us because my wife is carrying our son, the diaper bag and 2 carryons. He was rude stating that we have to pay each carryon. We didn’t have the extra money and my wife took everything with her. If that’s how Turkish Airline treats their customers, they shouldn’t be operating. It was the last time I use this airline. No dignity or humanity, it’s all only about the money. And when I took the stroller with my son. They made me package the stroller by myself looking that I had my son on me crying and when I asked for help they said that they can’t help me... unbelievable... they see me with 2 carryons a stroller and a baby and they can’t help me."

This has been going on for over 5 days with no contect, update or resolution. Once back in the US, I plane to file a formal complaint with FAA and more. DO NOT take this airline. They are worst airline I have ever used and will never use it again."

Nevýhody: "Loading for departure was almost 45 minutes late. The plane had been at the gate for at least 3 hours. Many varying excuses were given. Once boarding started, it was stopped again for mechanical problems with the plane. Each announcement assured us that no one would miss connections in Dublin!! Plane was loaded and doors were closed and secured....then we sat in the plane for over an hour without moving. Still experiencing mechanical problems. Now there was no way to get off or rebook a flight. The ENTERTAINMENT system did NOT work on the plane!! Landing in Dublin we were told to see agent at the gate if we missed our connecting flight to get info on our re directed connection. If we had not been rebooked, go to a room off the baggage area to be rebooked and then get our baggage. There was no one at the gate, the person in the room that we were directed to could not do anything, the baggage carousel broke down twice and our luggage was diverted to a different carousel with no indication that it had been moved. We had to go thru customs and go down to be re ticketed for a different flight. We waited in a long line for a hour to try to get a new flight to Hamburg. There was another 2 flights that could get us to Hamburg in time to make it to our destination But the Aer Lingus did not have a reciprocal agreement with that airline. Aer Lingus could NOT get us to Hamburg in time for us to make our connection there! The Aer Lingus agent told us that her only job was to get us to Hamburg and nothing more! Anything beyond that was our problem. We missed our 10 cruise because of the excessive delays, excuses and incorrect information given by your agents!!!! We are seasoned travelers and have never experienced such terrible service! Our trip back to the States from Dublin with Aer Lingus was just as terrible! Communication is NOT one of their strong points. We were boarded on he plane and sat for an hour and a half before asked to de board the plane. The plane had been damaged by the skywalk. We were told that food vouchers would be given for lunch and that we were not allowed to leave that wing of the terminal. It took 45 minutes for anyone to meet the passengers with the vouchers. These vouchers did not, in any way, cover the cost of a lunch. We were called to line up for boarding before most even had a chance to get in an order at the food counter. Everyone hurried to get in line and it was 3 hours later before we were allowed to board the plane!?! This does not make one want to fly again soon with this airline!"

No service, no offer to recuperate lost time and money, no compensation offered. Flat out terrible service."

TAP insisted they could not book me on as Azores Airlines from Pinta Delgado to Toronto was not booked for me. I had to call bothe airlines. With no help from the desk. I finally got both to confirm and at the last minute was allowed on the flight. I chose this route to have a nice couple of days in Portugal and I will have. But the flight start was really upsetting."

The boarding time for the flight was one hour before takeoff and the gate area was too small to hold the total number of people taking the flight. We also didn’t board until 30 min before the flight so passengers were waiting in one big crowd because it was impossible to find a seat or to even form clear lines for boarding."

Nevýhody: "First of all, I would like to start by saying that I flight with TAP very often. I guess you can check on your system. I had good experiences in the past and actually recommeded to friends/family. I hope this flight was an exception. A few things were not that good this time. 1) First of all, the online check-in wasn't working until a few hours before the flight, and I didn't even give me the option to choose my seat. Once in the plane, I noticed plenty of empty seats in several areas of the plane. I could have had a much better seat. Also, the fact that the price of the luggage in the ticket is not included is insane! They let you know right at the boarding area. Another 100 plus dollars in addition to the 1,6000 that I paid for the ticket. Incredible!! And they only gave us 15 dollars voucher!! 2) There was a 2 hours delay due to a storm in the south of the USA. Although I am fully understandable with the fact that this situation is out of hands for the TAP company, is it in their hands the care and wellbeing of their passengers. As previoulsy stated, I received a 15 dollars voucher to use becasue of the delay. At any airport, for any decent meal, you will pay a minimum of 25-30 dollars. All items are more expensive. While waiting in the gate to board, we were not offered with snacks, water, etc.. additionally, no announements or updates at all. 3) I had a very uncofortable situation with one of the filght attenders. Male, very tall, dark hair and dark skin. When distributing dinner, I found the way he approached me very disrespectul, ironic and dismissive. ZERO customer services and he is actually the face of TAP in these planes. Unaceptable. I have to look all the way up to him, he wouldn't make an effort to band a bit (of course, not completely) to at least try to hear what I was saying. He was requesting me to speak loud but he would not make a minimum effort to get close to me. His demeanor and attitude made me feel very upsted... abuse of power... to the pooint that I ended up not taking the meal. No manners at all. He should understand that after hours of waiting (check-in usual time plus the 2 hours delay) we were all very tired. Particularly at that timeof the day. Some of us where up for since earlyi in the moring and you could tell that most of the passengers were exhausted. The second we got into our seat, we all used our blankets and try to sleep. He was not empathetic or councious about that. I felt very uncomfortable. Both of the girls that were also in the back area of the plane, were also lacking manners and customer services. I don't know.. other times was much better."

Výhody: "Flight was delayed leaving Newark so we missed our connection in Portugal which was supposed to take us straight to Venice. Instead TAP gave us a replacement flight to Madrid and then from Madrid to Venice A FLIGHT WITH TWO STOPS IS NOT WHAT WE WANTED OR PAID FOR. Madrid was also delayed and we missed our connection to Venice. We got a new flight from Madrid to Venice and had to wait 5 hours for it. A trip from New Jersey to Venice ended up taking OVER 24 HOURS!!!! Due to the disgraceful disorganization and service of TAP PORTUGA we missed our best friends rehersal dinner a memory we would have loved to have. Extremely disorganized, terrible customer service OH AND WE HAD TO PAY FOR OUR BAGS TWICE to get reimbursed later but I don’t believe anything Tap Portugal says so we’ll see. Staff advice did not align and they were unapologetic for the experience we received."
Nevýhody: "Everything. The travel experience was a literal nightmare and not what we paid for. It’s criminal actually."

Nevýhody: "Boarding was a mess, my seat recline was messed up so the button didn't do anything, but if I leaned back it would too... Flight crew was also not particularly friendly."

Výhody: "Great friendly service. Very clean and organized crew. Nice plane, great flight crew. Comfortable seats. Free ear pieces and drinks for international flights"
Nevýhody: "Where to start. No soap to wash your hands in the WC. Air conditioning dripping water to a seat next to us. They run out of on food option we wanted. The flight to Lisbon was delayed. The plain was dirty. One of out seats the entertainment system did not work. We alerted the crew, they did not do anything to remediate these problems. Only bad experience of the trip. Portugal deserves a better airline than this one. Last the best of all, $90 dollars per bag we checked in, so we spent $360 dollars just to carry our luggage."
Výhody: "Anything I liked feels inconsequential."
Nevýhody: "My wife and I arrived to the airport for our honeymoon extremely excited. We had been saving for our trip to Italy for months, and we were finally going to get things started. Everything fell apart when we went to check in and we were told that my wife couldn’t use her ticket because she had changed her last name. We were told that there was no way that the name on the ticket could be changed because of TSA regulations. Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners."

Nevýhody: "Everything but specially the fact that there was no Business class but tickets Were sold and in the end not even assigned seats. No previous info or whatsoever ... this company is becoming worst than a low cost ... well much worst !!!"
Výhody: "Nothing so far since I'm not in Miami yet but in.. Newark."
Nevýhody: "Delay, horrible reschedule, missed flight due to a lack of time between departure and arrival, no communication, poor solutions, I had to pay for a hotel and food on my own. Goodbye TAP."
Nevýhody: "They cancelled the flight, losted the baggage and couldn't help to resolve the problem. They also lied about the flight they wanted to replace to solve the problem which even didn't exist in their company. So, I will never ever take the flight from this compound again."
Výhody: "Lucky, had a seat in the front row so had room for my knees. The crew, as always, fantastic. Polite, professional, sense of humor."

Výhody: "I like that there was wine event though this was a 'short flight' - this never happens in the US, so was a nice surprise"
Nevýhody: "There was a 'five minute' delay due too a mechnical issue with the bathroom light. The issue was communicated after about 30min and then took another 30min to sort out. Would appreciate clearrer expectation management - don't tell me it's taking five minutes when you need an hour. This feeds into old stereotypes around timeliness. Also, the seats were pretty small - I am 6"4 and was in a seat that did not recline (in front of emergency exit row)"
Výhody: "Wine and sparkling wine were better than anticipated, food was better than average;"
Nevýhody: "I am pretty tall, so would have liked my legroom. Also, my luggage was lost, which is unusual. I had a 3h layover in LIS and did not expect luggage would be lost that easily."
