Nevýhody: "I fell sick and my doctor advised against flying. Tried calling Swiss Air and JustFly.com: 6 calls back and forth and 7 hours on hold, no help. Finally got advised on driving to the airport to make the flight change at the Swiss Air counter at O’Hare. The representative told me to bring a note from doctor to switch flights. I did the next day. The same representative looked me in the eye after advising the day before and said there’s nothing she could do. Why make an elderly sick person drive to the airport again if you know already you cannot help??Absolutely terrible experience, no help from the airline or travel agency. Total loss of the full price of the ticket."

I expressed my concern that it would get lost (thus the reason I never opt to check bags) and was assured "They are very efficient in Zurich." When we arrived in Madrid, my bag was not at the carousel. I was told at Customer Service that it was on another flight, but that they could deliver it to my Airbnb between 4-7 pm. I had to wait there instead of enjoying my vacation to wait for my bag. The bag did not arrive until 10:30 pm. I did not have my clothes or belongings with me all day. Swiss Air in particular needs to update their overhead compartment regulations, as my bag definitely would have fit there, and could have avoided this entire situations."

If you had a hint of claustrophobia, you would never make this entire trip without going nuts. I noticed that many of the middle seats were unoccupied, while my family and I were crammed into four seats side-by-side. If we had empty seats between us the flight would have been bearable."

They took great care to get people what they wanted, and I saw them fulfill a few special requests from the people around me politely and quickly. The entertainment selections were good. The variety of interesting musical selections allowed me to go the whole flight without running down the battery on any of my own musical devices. The seat space was comfortable, especially compared to domestic flights I've taken for the last 10 years. The enforcement of carry-on luggage rules meant the overhead compartments were sufficient for what was brought aboard and people weren't filling the foot-space with bags."

He neither said yes nor no, but rather completely ignored what I said and just poured my drink and moved on. I was a mildly annoyed, but figured maybe it was policy and he was shy and didn't want to debate the matter. When he took care of the older couple behind us, however, things got really strange. He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

Nevýhody: "I am a 5'3" 125# woman who, unfortunately, had a middle seat assignment. The passenger to my right, on the aisle, weighed approximately 375# and took up 1/3 of my seat. The arm was not able to go down comfortably, and when it did it was not usable . The passenger on my left, window seat, was probably 6'7" and had to sit with a man spread in order to fit. I could not move and was extremely uncomfortable. The plane was overbooked so I was unable to move. Therefore, worst flight ever. Plus, I paid for a full seat and was only able to occupy half of it."

Nevýhody: "The crew at check-in & at boarding checked me in to fly to Tel-Aviv (transiting at Istanbul) without any comment on visa or passport at Washington D.C. In Istanbul, I was not allowed to board on the flight to Tel-Aviv. I was not allowed to stay in Istanbul. Crew (Erin Uler) who stopped me from boarding the flight said he would help, but disappeared. Othes kept sending me back and forth between transfer desk and sales desk with inconsistent advice every time. I had no way out, so decided I will fly to the closest European country. This was after I had been back and forth for 7 hours. I had to pay full for flight to Greece. I asked to be sent back to D.C. they could not even work that out. I have a return ticket to fly back to Washington D.C. with Turkish Airline on 1 Jan and they said they will need to re-ticket my paid return flight as well. Turkish airline crew did not would not help me fix my return flight back to D.C. They have asked me to contact the agent ( Kayak). Now I am stuck in Athens, a country I have never visited nor planned to. My tours & accommodation, all paid for in Israel, I have lost. I had a tour fully paid in Israel. I have no ticket to return back to D.C. even though I paid for ticket with cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. The advice between Turkish crew who checked my passport (official) while I was flying out of D.C. vs the Turkish crew who stopped me from boarding was inconsistent. If I had been stopped in D.C. I wouldn't have had to face the events that followed. Now I have lost my tours, hotel in Israel. I had to pay extra for flight to Athens and I am paying for hotel and sundry in Athens while waiting for flight out. Turkish crew at Istanbul were not only unhelpful but rude and inconsistent. While I was waiting for 8 hours for a firm information, shouting matches between Turkish crew and customers went on at least a dozen times. Inconsistent information from Turkish staff has led me to be currently stuck in Athens. I am waiting for a way back to D.C. There should be a rule that fines an airline if they board people without accurate visa papers and they fail to check it. There should also be a fine to the airline if they stop people from boarding at a transit airport leaving passanger stranded with nowhere to go or return. I ask this issue to be looked at, as I am currently stuck in Athens. I need a ticket to go back to D.C."

Then, when I was checking in I realized my name was wrong even though my client has a document that proves she typed the right name. Finally, and AGAIN KAYAK, I arrive at the airport and Turkish Air says the ticket is booked but not ticked. So I had to jump on a 30min wait over the phone trying to solve issue after issue. Never doing business again with Kayak."

It didn’t take me that long but the flight attendant knocked hard on the door but she didn’t do that for me with the other guy. I didn’t feel welcomed at all from the crew honestly."

The passenger had a relapse a few hours later - again no acknowledgement from the crew to reassure those of us who could hear his cries of distress."

Nevýhody: "I booked my flight with Turkish Airlines for June 28th at 11:05 pm. A few hours before my flight, there were bombings in the airport in Istanbul, which was where I was flying into. I tried for hours to contact Turkish Airlines and their phone was disconnected. I could not reach anyone to try to re-schedule a new flight or to ask if the flight was going to be re-directed. I received no information and ended up having to book a new flight for the next day. After my flight had already left Turkish Airlines posted on their website an alert. I am shocked that it took so long to post any information and I am very upset that I was unable to reach customer service. I will NOT be choosing this airline to fly on again."

First we were told it was cancelled and would be put up in a hotel, but on the way the wheelchair driver was asked to return to office and drop us at a gate. At this gate the departure time kept changing every hour or so without any plane at the gate, or staff. This lasted till next day about 3 PM. For this long period There was no water. The was no assistance to bathroom or food or water. All the passangers were upset. They organized and went to talk to the Airline personnel. They returned frustrated since none of the Airline staff knew anything."

Our original flight plan had 4 hours. so, because we are a family of 7 with a baby, we had to buy a hotel room to rest, costing us a lot of extra money we had not planned to spend. We contacted KLM for help with the cost but were rejected. We also lost 5 bags somewhere between Chicago and Lusaka, but after 2 days, we received them."

Austerian ticket crew & supervisor did not want even to check the pass through to board with permission. The WORSE airline!!!"

The contact number that O’Hare had was a disconnected Verizon number, which was the same number listed on their website. I had to call the international number where I was told I was rebooked on United with 2 layovers instead of one. I also lost my business class upgrade and was told there was nothing they could do about it."

Výhody: "They were really good with checking in my excess baggage and my two cats. Cats travelled well and arrived as expected. Check in at O'Hare was very friendly. In the air, flight attendants were very accommodating and friendly. All luggage and cats arrived! The plane from O'Hare to Austria was very nice!"
Nevýhody: "I think I have gotten used to Asiana's and Korean Airlines'. It just didn't seem to measure up to their business class service. The food (which has been highly rated!) I found to be just mediocre. Maybe it's because I was living in Asia for eight years and had become more accustom to asian cuisine?? I didn't love the seat either. When you recline, your feet are cramped inside a small area under the seat in front of you. It was cramped. The ability to customize the seat recline was limited. I like being able to move the head and feet into my own customized position. The business class seats from Vienna to Amman felt like coach."

Waiting area at the gate had plenty of seating and the staff was professional and courteous. We had to gate check bags as the plane was a regional turboprop, but everything went very smoothly."

Nevýhody: "I left my entertainment at home in a mad rush to depart which is very unusual for me. As a result, I had to rely on Austrian Airlines' copyright licenses, and they were less than satisfactory. Fortunately, I'm flying back with Lufthansa, so I hope there will be more variety there. The lavatory at the back of the plane was filthy by the end of the flight. I don't understand why the flight attendants feel to good to clean the lavatories for their passengers. We are stuck on a flying can for 9-10 hours and deserve to have clean lavatories during that time. At one point, I was thirty and approached the back of the plane. When I entered the rear galley, the ladies looked at me like I was intruding. If self-service is not available for passengers, then flight attendants should be prepared to serve their customers."
Výhody: "I am gluten free, and the stewardess knew what foods I could eat of the desserts and snacks, and I appreciated that there was food that I could eat."

Nevýhody: "I was very disappointed with Austrian airlines. I was not able to pick my own seat even after I checked in and the actual seats on the plane were extremely small and uncomfortable. This made it impossible for me to enjoy mi flight. A 5'6' person should not have any issues but my knees were touching the seat in front of me. The seat was very narrow - it felt cramped and as if they turned a space designed for 2-4-2 into a 3-4-3. When I called the customer service before the flight to get a seat next to my husband who had a separate reservation, it took about 4 calls before anyone even mentioned that out reservations could be linked together. will not fly Austrian airlines again."
