We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

Moreover, that flight attendant looked like a bar hostess than a professional person. Her English was very ppor. I talked to the bursar. She kept apologizing but it did not help. I am multi million miler and Diamond member with Delta, I never had an experience like this, AEROFLOT really needs to train their people better. Very bad experience."

I asked for my carry-on, but she would not return it. I called Aeroflot customer service, but they were not helpful and a bit rude. To make things worst, the agent placed me in the very last seat in the airplane, so I had to wait a good 20min to de board- time that I didn’t have. I paid so much for his flight and this was not the service that I expected. The only reason I made it to my second flight (Prague-Bilbao) was because the flight was delayed."

When putting in MY information it auto selected my mom. Because the difference is only one letter in the first name I didn’t catch it and processed my purchase 5/17/2018. There was no “Check your name, check your birthday” page, just simply took me to confirmation page and that’s it. Yesterday was the day for my departure, when about to board my plane at the very check in I handed my passport and heard the worst news ever: booking was done under a wrong name! I couldn’t believe it. No one would help me, I couldn’t get in touch with Kayak, I couldn’t get a hold of a third party company either, I called Moscow and stayed on the phone with them for 2 hours trying to prove that it’s me flying and not my mom. Money was taken out from my account, my email is attached to this purchase, my bank account proof was also not enough. I wasted over $900, didn’t make my flight and worst of all I know that should there been a “confirm your name and birthday page” on kayak app none of this would have ever happened! I was crying my eyes out, the lady at the check in was yelling at me like I am a lier, I was begging them to honor my ticket but they couldn’t do nothing because of your mistake people! I had to travel back home to NJ (from jfk to my house its a 2 hour travel), I booked another ticket not through your website anymore but through your competitor, I had to pay premium since it’s last minute $1300!!!! I am so disappointed there are no words. I almost fainted yesterday from the anxiety! Never again!"

Nevýhody: "Customer service. My baggage was damaged and I reported it first thing when I came off the flight. But Aeroflot's Baggage Damage department was unreachable by phone the entire day after my flight, when I was still in Moscow (it was a connection). When I contacted them, 3 weeks later (by the instruction of their Lost and Found personnel) on the way back from Tokyo, they said it was too late to process my claim. Apparantly I had to contact them (an unreachable department) up to 7 days from the flight. Now they still won't compensate me in any way. The plane crew just do their jobs but they are not even trying to be nice. On 3 of our 4 flights there was not enough room for my legs. the audio on the entertainment plan was bad and their headphones (you must use) are also horrible. I will never fly Aeroflot again."

Their food and service is right on par with other European carriers. The planes are new and clean. Staff is efficient, and generally friendly. Aeroflot has a certain negative reputation but I have had very good experiences only."

I once had to change my flight time but I found it was very hard to reach Aeroflot by telephone. Probably best to reserve through an agency who make the changes for you."
