The A340s used on this route are getting a little on the old side, and the once state of the art in seat entertainment system has a tendency to crash frequently and require lengthy reboots."

Nevýhody: "I landed at Zurich airport at 6am with an 11 hour wait and tried to get onto an earlier us bound flight. The ground crew were awful and rude!. The dint make any effort to smile, look at me in the face or ask how I was doing!. Instead she took one look at my ticket and said “ sorry you bought through an agent, I can’t help you”. When I tried to ask if in future it is advisable to book through Swiss airlines directly, the customer service agent looked at me and said “ that’s your problem”- then she turned to her friend and kept talking! Honestly! . The airport terminal E is grey, drab and boring. No TV and only 2 hour of WiFi. I was told I had to pay to use one of their lounges just to get a recliner chair to lay my head for 11 hours. I felt like I was in a holding cell- and the flight was delayed by an hour, had a gate change that they dint tell us till less than 1hour- boy was I glad to leave Zurich!. If that is Swiss hospitality, they have a long way to go. Save your money and use another airline. You will be much happier- trust me."

Nevýhody: "Because there was no way for us to check in early or online and they did not send us an email directing us to do so, they put us on standby even though the flights were paid for months before. We couldn't sit together--they wouldn't even try, they let the computer do it randomly as we boarded. They put my son through ridiculous strip search security measures, and when my passport fell into to the steel bullet of a garbage can, they didn't help and my son and I figure out how to go through it to get my passport. They could not have been more unhelpful. Plus the food was terrible, and delays both in taking off and getting to the gate. I will NEVER fly Swiss Air again."

Once you finally get your sticker from them it’s a quick trip through customs. Then the pain really begins with a security scan st each individual gate to enter a boarding area for the plane. Then I was pulled for extra security where a male agent touched my but with some sort of swab with no warning. He then claimed to not speak English (with zero accent when I asked him a question). It was a humiliating and very long process all run by delta!"

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

When I called and asked if they would rebook me the lady on the phone said that she could rebook for a trip that had two layovers from 2pm(Prague time) to 8:30pm(NYC time) for the 24th of November (thanksgiving). Nevýhody: "The boarding process unnecessarily was long and hot. We stood in the jet ramp line for nearly 15 minutes before entering the aircraft. There was no ventilation and the air was tepid. The seats were smaller in Economy Class than on competitor carriers. The lavs were unattended to during the 7 hour flight and, consequently, were filthy during the last hour or two. The food was mediocre, at best, but at least the cocktails were not an upcharge. Enough alcohol can make just about any food palatable."

The bathrooms ran out of water in the toilet about 2 hours before we landed so I didn't want to use it. Again, it was an old plane."

Crew was not particularly friendly. I had flown British Air on the way over to Europe and that crew seemed genuinely more friendly. The complimentary headphones were terrible. I almost gave up on watching a movie until I pulled out my iPhone headphones and realized that I could finally hear the dialogue over the roar of the plane."

Nevýhody: "We weren't able to select our seats, they were selected for us. We also couldn't print out our Boarding Passes until we arrived at the airport giving us an uneasy feeling about the seats we would be assigned. Ultimately, our seat assignments were fine, but no need for the drama."

Movie selection tepid. Can't use your own headset & get stereo sound because of their 2-prong system. Whole setup really bad. On overnight flight from Boston to Dublin, could barely sleep because flight crew kept interrupting with announcements about collecting trash."
Výhody: "Aer Lingus flight attendants as well as employees inside the terminals were wonderful. I sincerely feel they went above and beyond to make sure you were happy. Whatever they could control they did a good job."

Nevýhody: "Boarding was chaotic; there was little to no crowd management. Row numbers were called to board the plane before the staff even seemed ready to receive them. There was no vegetarian meal option, and my in-flight entertainment completely ceased functioning less than halfway through the flight."

Nevýhody: "Leg room was minimal. I don't think you should allow seats to go back since I inevitably sit behind someone who puts his all the way back and I feel like a pretzel. It seemed like a very expensive ticked to feel like that."

Upon arrival you could not open the cargo doors and our luggage was delayed for almost 1.5 hours. There were several other issues with thus flight that made the overall experience a poor one. Some where beyond the control of the airline, others were not. There was a lot of room for improvement."
Výhody: "Much better than the Rome-Dublin leg. A modern plane with entertainment. A boarding process with effective signage and flowing lines. An absolutely top-rate cabin crew. Actually enjoyable food."
Nevýhody: "Really was well done: systems seem to be functioning smoothly and feedback processes are working. One thing I did note was that the waste seemed to be collected without sorting for recycling. Considering you all are on the Emerald (green) Isle, you could take up the mantle of being the "most ecological" airline in the world. It would only take a small amount of messaging."
Nevýhody: "Waiting in the que was very disorganized and took up the entire hallway. I didn't like running through the airport since the gate closed 5 minutes before I got off the plane from London even though the flight was almost 2 hours later."

Nevýhody: "I never realized that Aer Lingus was actually a budget airline until I flew them. Price was right, but lack of leg room and things like charging for things other airlines do not, should be factored in when choosing them. There was a 2.5 hour delay and I think that passengers should have received some compensation for that. A voucher or at least a free drink, nada."
Nevýhody: "unable to contact Aer Lingus with question dealing with clearing customs once we land in the U. S. we were on hold for over an hour"
Nevýhody: "The crew looked completely unhappy. There was only one crew member smiling. The flight was delayed by about an hour due to food. I feel if we are paying for a flight that is 7+ hours the crew should at the very least fake a smile."

Person behind me was not happy that I reclined my seat and was vocal about it while the person in front of me was completely reclined and I'm a small person. Heck, I paid for the the seat and should be able to move my seat back without any issues. Still very smuched. Extra leg room shouldn't be a premium."

I was wearing a fleece jacket & had a blanket but was still cold. Of course row 28 sees a lot of traffic & noise from the lavatories so that wasn't fun but the cold was the main problem."

Nevýhody: "Web check in was severely broken or misprogrammed during my two weeks of travel. This would not have mattered if they had simply assigned seats at the time of purchase. I bought tickets 8 months in advance for a family of 4. On our overnight flight we were shoved in to nonreclining seats in front of the noisiest bulkhead service area I have ever encountered. None of the 5 phone reps or onsight staff were able to help and were nasty into the bargain. One of them lied to me about the seat position on the phone. The staff made no attempt to keep things quiet on the flight and in fact made most of the noise themselves. The armrests can't be folded up because they crammed too many seats across. And the bathrooms right on either end of our row wafted noxious odors over us every time they were opened. This resulted in losing two days of my expensive vacation trying to recover from lack of sleep. This is in return for giving Aer Lingus the use of $4200 for 8 months. I would never use this airline again."

Nevýhody: "The entertainment had a lot of options- TV shows, movies and games but none were really accessible to me as a Deaf person- no captions. and as for the game I needed a console which I could have asked for. I tried at one point but the attendants didn't help me. So I just gave up and read my book on my iPad. Also, it seemed to take forever to get my bags. I know it was a big plane and there were a lot of us waiting, but it still seemed to take longer than expected."

Nevýhody: "For some unknown reason, I wasn't able to select my seat upon booking my flight. Perhaps this is because I booked through Kayak instead of directly on the Aer Lingus website. Because I was traveling with a friend, I wanted to choose a seat next to him. I could not figure out how to select a seat. The choice was not available through Kayak or through Aer Lingus. I e-mailed two Aer Lingus addresses, one kayak/vayama customer service address, tweeted at Aer Lingus and even sent them a facebook message. When I called Aer Lingus, I had to wait on hold for an HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES before anyone answered the phone. They said that I couldn't pre-choose my seat and that I had to select it at the airport. Well, when I got to the airport, the Aer Lingus staff said that wasn't true and that the only seat left was in the very back of the plane. Far away from my friend. What a waste of time. This airline was extremely unorganized. Choosing a seat seems to be a rather simple thing to do on every other airline."
Nevýhody: "We had to go to the Aer Lingus counter in Dublin to do seat selection for the remaining leg of the journey as this wasn't an option in Budapest."
Nevýhody: "We landed at Logan early, but then had to wait for a gate. We still arrived at the gate a little ahead of schedule."
Výhody: "Airline does great job of check in-lots of assistance available to move you quickly through airport."
Nevýhody: "Some of the flight attendants were rude to other passengers-embarrassing to listen to. Food mediocre, have to pay for drinks on transatlantic flights. Slow to pick up food trays. Boarding a bit chaotic. Definitely feels like a budget airline but compared to U.S. Budget carriers, they could use some work on customer service."
