I was forced into a middle seat and was uncomfortable and dehydrated the majority of the trip. Nice girl at baggage check said she'd ask a manager to move me, and to let them know at the gate, but the people at the gate said no. I felt discriminated against because I didn't book through them and/or I'm not Japanese. They historically love to put mushrooms in their food, like a fetish. This left me with one choice for the entree - some version of oyakodon - eggs and chicken. In my box there were two enormous chunks of fat/skin and another unidentifiable part of the chicken, and about the amount of edible chicken as 1 1/2 nuggets from Chick-Fil-A. There was more lotus root than chicken, so basically I had a box of rice and scrambled eggs with garnish. For the second meal, it was the Yoshinoya gyudon - a small serving of thinly sliced beef with rice. If I bought this fresh at a Yoshinoya restaurant, it would cost about $3. It's the rough equivalent of serving you a McDouble - cheap and filling and a coin toss if you get stomach pains. I lost that coin toss. Unless there is a big fare difference or I find out that their reserved seat policies are changed, I will choose ANA or another carrier. I used to enjoy JAL, but I cannot abide by idiotic decisions that seemed designed to punish people for using 3rd-party booking sites or who are not Japanese."

And the poor Stewardess' (they were SO wonderful) had to clean up the mess. Then the lady had to clean up more pee and poop and left all that mess right in front of my feet and handbag (which I put under the seat)! I had to hold onto my handbag and shoes the entire trip bc it was touching the pile of dirty paper towels! I couldn't eat the meal due to the gross situation, and I was very upset about this situation all bc of this one lady who had no regard for the ppl around her and behind her! I don't know what your policies are concerning bringing a dog on a plane, but it ruined my flight. I love Korean Air, and love the service and the stewardess' professionalism and attentiveness, but this has made me think twice about flying anywhere on Korean Air!"

Výhody: "I was recently on flight CI054 from Auckland to Taipei, with a short layover in Brisbane (my final destination was Incheon, South Korea. Due to fog in Brisbane, the flight was diverted to Gold Coast. After arriving in Gold Coast we had to take a bus to Brisbane. It's kind of a long story, but basically I will say it was handled well for the most part my China airlines. Certainly, fog was not there fault and they did everything they could to accommodate passengers, including putting us up in two very nice hotels."
Nevýhody: "The one complaint I have is when disembarking the plane in Gold Coast, there was no China Airlines personnel to be found anywhere. Nobody on the plane knew what we were doing - who was supposed to get on the bus and who was supposed to stay. The Australian immigration authorities and Gold Coast airport staff took control, but again, China Airlines staff had completely disappeared. Nobody was there to tell us whether we should collect our luggage, how to get an appropriate visa to enter Australia, where to go to get on the bus (or even if we SHOULD get on the bus). I was really frustrated at the point, but other than that, I would say they handled it quite well"

I was left with the impression that flight attendants were picked more for looks than competence. Checking in at Incheon took a very long time - they should open more counters or give warning to passengers of how long it can take."

I was so surprise that they was a very long queue at the check in counter with all Korea air. And 5 min run to the boarding gate. Korea air should let us know if the check in was so slow and advise us to arrival at the airport 3 hours before departure."

The laptop backpack and carryon bag were already weighed and they demanded to re-weigh them."

Nevýhody: "Originating flight in Manila to Taipei to connect to our SFO flight was cancelled late in Manila due to 'technical' issues (waiting in terminal, 4 hours past scheduled departure, which meant missing our connection to SFO), and the ensuing parade through having to stay in Manila overnight (on CA's dime, plus food), then rushed back to the airport the following morning (very short notice), then to have to wait again as CA figured out how to get a previously scheduled flight into the flight plan management systems, and obviously without a proper method to coordinate this sort of thing - ultimately all of this lack of 'control' over their situation, lead to a feeling that China Airlines does not know how to contend with interruptions, or how to make their customers feel informed so that they may be more understanding. In the future - flying Eva - even though this was the first ever event of this type I have had flying China Airlines. Eva provided both meal vouchers and boxes of candy to each and every customer affected while we awaited our flights to our final destinations. CA was silent - and also very absent when we arrived in SFO and went to collect our baggage - again Eva being the party taking action and responsibility to help us get our bags, with 1 of 3 damaged by CA handlers). Bad image CA, bad image."
