Výhody: "First of all, I want to preface this by saying that virtually every airline is better than the major ones working in the US (American, United, and Delta), and Qatar Airways is amongst this number. The entertainment selection was excellent, the best of any flight I've ever been on. The flight attendants were excellent, again, much better than those on American carriers (I am American, FYI)."
Nevýhody: "The food was terrible. Of course, we know this about airline food, BUT I have been on Qatar Airways flights with GOOD food in the past, so I know it can be better. Also, I sat in the baby section, which also happens to be where they put long-legged people. This is no one's fault, but suffice to say, do NOT sit next to 4 5-month olds for a 15-hr flight! Interestingly, since all flight attendants were women, about 50% of the flight did listen to them since there were many conservative Arabs onboard from Qatar or Saudi Arabia (i.e., those who are taught not to listen to or respect women). This made for some frustrating sites to witness but it's obviously not the airline's fault. Poor women!"

If you want to do it for security reason do it ( I want to be safe) but don’t do it for the check mark , it doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t protect us."
Výhody: "I bought 2 tikets from Chicago to oscow and back for me and for my son. I live in USA, son lived in Russia but he received immigration visa and I had plan fly to USA with him. From Chicago I used my ticket and say SWISS staff what my son will have trip only from Moscow. I paid for 2 tickets around $1700. Today when we should have trip back to USA, SWISS company said what ticket for my son do not exsist. And I spent for new ticket 220000 rubles about $3600. Nobody in SWISS company do not said me what my tocket for son canceled. I am shoked !!!"

My bags were searched twice and while I fully support security this was excessive"

A day after I perches a multi destination tickets I called Swiss air costumer service requesting to upgrade my tickets to business class. no one would even try to help me. They just kept saying I need to contact my travel agent. After 3 phone calls I gave up and decided to wait and upgrade my ticket at the airport. 2. In Prague the night before my second flight I hurt my knee real bad to a point that I couldn't walk at all. The next morning I call Swiss air costumer service again trying to explain them my situation telling them I can't fly and won't be able to make it to my flight. Costumer service cancelled immediately all of my remaining tickets and try to sell me new tickets for a full price. I said I don't mind buy and pay for the one flight I missed but there is no reason for her to re sell me the rest of my tickets that I already paid for, again. Then she start to change prices up and down like in a Chinese flea market. At that point I begged her to talk to a supervisor but she Kept ignoring my request and just try to negotiat for a lower charg she kept me on the phone for 5 hours. My hotel phone bill for that one call cost me 150€. I never got to talk to a supervisor but she took down the charge to 517$ Not included a new ticket flying out of Prague. 3. For my last flight going home. I showed up 2.5 hours Earlier. asking to upgrade my sit to business fin desk send me to talk to asupervisor. The supervisor was trying to process my request but didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. One minute he was on his computer then the next minute on the phone with Swiss air headquarter then back on his computer for more then 35 minutes with no resolute. I still had an hour and half before take off when he told me he can print me the ticket but it's to late now since the gate for my flight is close and I already missed my flight. I said that's impossible cause I still have an hour and half to my flight but he insist on the gate been close and there is no way I can get on that flight. Right away I run back to front desk asking them to print my ticket as fast as possible cause I would really like to get on that flight. In front desk they told me not to worry cause I got plenty of time to get on that flight. So I gave up on the business upgrade and told them that at that point I'll be just as happy to sit by the window. Of course they put me on the very end exactly in the middle. After the door was locked I looked around and saw plenty of free sits available including by the window. 4. In Zurich I finally managed to upgrade my last flight coming back to Tampa fl to business and noticed that the only way they could do that was by contacting Swiss air headquarter for approval. When I asked why is that since I fly a lot and never seen anything like that before one of the lady's there told how Swiss air left all of their front desk powerless and all decisions must be made by headquarters."

I was then rerouted through Istanbul with the promise that I would be well compensated for my troubles. I was told that I would receive a certain amount for every hour I was delayed from my original arrival at end destination. Well I arrived 8 or more hours after I had originally expected (and the reason I booked with Swiss Air was because of the timing and the apparent luxury of the flight). Once I got back home and tried to pursue this amazing compensation I received some of the worst customer service ever and received 0 compensation for the experience. Very disappointed and will never fly swiss airlines again."

Eventually routed via Lisbon which meant literally flying all night to arrive at 0600. Lufthansa and Austrian have some serious faults to correct."

Had to then go to the only counter in the terminal to see if we could get on standby. Finally got on a flight to JFK instead at 5:15pm."

I was told that the chance of my losing the new seat was minimal, as the computer was very overbooked and rarely wrong. I was then told at the gate that I had to wait there, and did so, despite having already checked into a lounge (for a fee), because I needed to print a bank bill (my reason for going to Moscow from Vienna, not directly home from Vienna to New York, is to pay a fee into an account at the bank). So I waited, and in the meantime contacted my friend in Moscow to tell him I'd be arriving 10 hours later than planned. Then at the very last minute that 2 people who had booked for the flight had not appeared, and that I had to board it. Hugely frustrating on account of the endless assurances made."

Also, I have never had to board a plan from the tarmac since 1970 in the US - why do we have to always wait for and take buses from our check in gate out to the flight line? And how is this ever considered, "Premium Boarding?" It's like a cattle car. Fix these things and I will sing the praises of TAP forever."

Very professional and organized. Much appreciated that I didn't miss my final connection! Love flying TAP and will continue to do so!"

We wait 30 minutes. then another 30 and then another 30 as more and more news comes about that the problem is not fixable. We de-board and have to wait in a long line at the complete opposite end of the airport. By 1:00am the line has barely moved and all hotel vouchers has been used. I have to spend the evening on a bench in the airport as a single woman- not comforting. I missed important meetings the next day as I am on the flight home. I understand accidents happen but it happened on both my way there and back. My flight home should have been refunded as it put me in a very insecure position and effected my work performance."
