Since manufacturers adhere to airline baggage standards, no violations were found during checks. This misguided effort only resulted in publicly humiliating Swissair customers. Boarding process was pure pandemonium...this was the first time in recent memory, where all coach passengers were invited to board at the same time! Very inefficient! Crowded seating in coach,with ten passengers sandwiched in across Boeing 767 aircraft. Competing airlines flying identical aircraft have nine across seatings Thin seat cushions cause leg cramps after a few hours."

Výhody: "I was gratified to see that the 777 Boeing aircraft have now replaced the older Airbus aircraft..... This is my sixth time traveling to Switzerland from San Francisco on Swiss....Their service in my opinion remains excellent......The cabin crew was cheerful friendly yet remained very efficient at the same time... The food was very good, , The two meals that comes with one's Ticket still also comes with complimentary beverage service .... and even a warm moist towel is offered towards the end of the flight ... not bad for a seat in coach ...."

Nevýhody: "Old plane, hard uncomfortable seats, no wifi, rigid flight attendants, awful food, middle seat (after paying for premium seating) with two enormous guys on either side, fixed armrest, AC dripped on me most of the flight and was told nothing could be done, interminable."

Luckily there was no one sitting in the middle seat so I could put my legs there. Also, when flying to Europe from the west coast I prefer flying to the east coast first and then taking a red eye."

Nevýhody: "Scheduling! We were 4 hours delayed after I had already had a flight cancelled that day. And this 4-hr delay caused me to miss my connection. Turkish did take good care of me in Istanbul, though it was a very slow process to get a hotel with them. Also, my bags missed the connection somehow."

Nevýhody: "The flight was delayed by 4 hours but Turkish airlines inisisted that I had to be at the airport and checked in at the scheduled time and then wait at the airport for that whole time."

All of the business class people gathered in a group and charged when the door opened. I was afraid but walked down"
Nevýhody: "No assistance at Istanbul airport turned my opinion of Turkish airlines. The is not my first bad experience at Istanbul with wheelchair service but thought it would be better since I flew business class this time. Movies are old and need to be updated"

Nevýhody: "The flight was delayed, then we sat in the airplane for an hour before we took off, with kids screaming and the cabin at seemingly sauna temperatures. Once we took off, drinks weren't even served until 2 hours after take-off (for a scheduled 6:15pm departure - actual was more like 7:45pm). Maybe it was due to some light turbulence along the way or something, but they should tell people that is the problem and the reason they are not serving food and drinks, if that is the case."

Nevýhody: "Departure is 4 hours late. Missed connecting flight at Istanbul. Asked us to pay for Visa to stay in hotel. Did not have money. Also forgot to take Credit card from USA. As per the rule Airlines has to pay for Visa. They never paid. Asked us to pay. Totally harassment. Never book Turkish Airlines in my remaining whole life. Also will this incident to all my friends after going back to USA. Very very bad experience. Sat down 24 hours at Airport without food and sleep. Mostly will file a case against Airlines."

Nevýhody: "A very rude ticket sales woman in Turkish Airline Kiosk, wandering an airport for two hours due to untrained staff and Turkish Airlune "help desk", being cheated out of $400, and finding my baggage smashed up."

Too many delays, first from SF to Istanbul and then the worse part no one was able to tell me from which gate my flight to TLV, I received at least 6 emails from you saying a different gate each time and we had a delay almost two hours in Istanbul. Because of all the delays I missed a few important phone conferences regarding my business. Unprofessional service! if I was running my business the same way I had no business! Not going to do this mistake again!"

Výhody: "I had a really long lay over and got a free hotel. None of the airline personal will help you find the hotel desk you need to get to, but if you keep asking around you'll find it eventually(in arrivals next to the starbucks). Shuttle service to and from the hotel. The hotel was fine(I mean not great but it was descent)."
Nevýhody: "The flight attendants aren't super nice and if they don't understand you they kinda just move on. So that was sort of annoying."

Nevýhody: "This airline used to be excellent. Now, the prices have been going up and the standards down. Service not as good, food not as tasty, plentiful and varied, crew not as warm and attentive. Instabul airport was the usual chaos, which does not add to the experience for transfers. Also: boarding started late and of course was not done and time and since we lost our slot we were further delayed taking off. That made the transfer time even less and the situation more stressful."

Nevýhody: "Several TVs were not working. While some were repaired the TV for my viewing did not work. Though it was set right it failed raw weal times."

Výhody: "The price can't be beat for a quality, national carrier. The next highest price for my series of flights was $600 more and would have taken twice as long. Good food, good alcoholic beverages, great movies, and a nice crew too."
Nevýhody: "Turkish Airlines was delayed over an hour. It seems like slight delays do happen with this airline; however, you do get what you pay for and I can't really complain much over a one hour delay given the ticket price."

Nevýhody: "I come from a poor background and it's sad to see that in order to have first class it'll cost you more than what I make in almost 5-6 months just to have a little more comfort... I'm not a big fan of the comfort side of the plane. You only go back so far and if you have a middle seat like I did you have to try in sleep in an upright position practically looking forward. Extremely difficult and really uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the Cafine drinks and entertainment I would of probably gone crazy. Metaphorically speaking."

Výhody: "The flight was delayed for 4 hours then cancelled. Then we all stood in line for another 4 hours to book a different flight. However the next day when I came to check in for my new flight with united. They said Turkish airline had never sent the flight transfer. This happened to many other customers. Once again we all had to run around to find help but Turkish was severely understaffed and ill prepared. Overall a terrible experience."

Výhody: "The seats were comfortable, the plane is modern and clean, equipped with usb charging ports, personal the interactive screen had many entertainment options, comfortable leg room, overhead storage bins were very spacious and crew members were polite."

Lufthansa has no control whatsoever they don’t even care."
Nevýhody: "Everything related to flight could have been better. I have flown Lufthansa multiple times in the past never had such drastic issues like this time. Completely disappointed. Should have booked Qatar instead."

On the way back with the same 3 identical bags Lufthansa charged us $399.47 (£306.92), again all under 23KG. How can it be fair to charge passengers 2.4 times more to return home with their bags?"

Výhody: "Everyone on this flight from the crew to all were awesome, exactly what you hope for when traveling internationally"
Nevýhody: "My bags did not make it to Copenhagen...again! So disppointed and completely put out by this inconvenience"

Výhody: "The portion of my trip from San Francisco to Honolulu -- provided by United Airlines, not by Lufthansa -- was frustrating and uncomfortable: more than five hours in a small Boeing 737, which hardly permitted any reclining of the seats.and provided but limited in-flight services"

Výhody: "I brought my wedding dress with me and on both flights, the flight attendents were so attentive to that and hung in it the cabin crew closet. It was that extra step of care that I am grateful for!"

Nevýhody: "We were advised upon check in online that we could check in but if we needed additional carry on items (1 was free) we had to pay a secondary fee. When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

If the person in front of you is asleep during meal service, the FA (flight attendant) won't lift the seat and it may be a very uncomfortable meal experience. Other airlines will have the FA do it themselves. ...and you need to be careful about staying awake to get food (otherwise you can get forgotten)."

Nevýhody: "All my complaints are things neither Finnair nor the Crew could have helped. Turbulance was minor but constant. Some passengers rude enough to cut in front of the bathroom lines, and pretend not to comprehend English when they do. The Pork Dish and Breakfast dish were awful, however I recognize it isn't Finnish food, but a Korean variety. Two babies kept crying and screaming, for almost a solid 4 hours. I wasn't aware infants had the lung capacity or developed vocal chords to do such a feat. It also seemed like the parents were ignoring their babies not even trying to console them. Absolutely out of the hands of the staff, and I do not blame them for that. The only reason why the flight was so low, was simply because of things out of their hands. This is just a review of this specific flight, not the company itself."

The flight was smooth and easy and best of all, it cost a fraction of what the BA price for a one-way from SFO to LHR cost."

Výhody: "I last traveled on British Airways in May of last year (2015) and the food was beyond dreadful. Therefore I was very pleasantly surprised that there has been a huge improvement. They were very generous with the drinks and the food was plentiful and quite a reasonable standard for airline food (they gave two full meals from San Francisco to London, whereas most airlines give one meal and one snack on that route). They actually checked us in on the earlier side, we took off very promptly and got to London early. It was nice to be on time for a change - so often I find airlines run a bit late. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Pilot's messages were pleasant, friendly and even a bit informative."
Nevýhody: "Web check-in ahead of time was a total disaster. I got an email telling me I could check in 36 hours early and "secure a good seat" but neither of the 2 sets of codes they provided in the email would work because it was all about Finnair but actually the flight was being run by British Airways. I spent about 30 minutes on the 'phone trying to get the appropriate sequence of numbers and letters to enter so as to check in and get a good seat - still nothing worked. This was at 5:45am - I regretted the time spent when I could have gone back to sleep. My daughter later spent a further 90 minutes trying to figure it out, only to be told finally that our only option was to get to the airport early and check n there which was what we did. It was beyond irksome. Please note, if the airline actually flying is different fro the booking airline, the locator number for check n will be DIFFERENT and needs to be provided to the customer to avoid a great deal of hassle and confusion. We gt particularly unlucky because BA computers had a glitch that day but the general point still stands."

Not just the lack of sufficient leg room (especially when the person in front reclined) but most importantly the quality of the cushions. They were like cardboard and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. We were not able to sleep at all due to the discomfort! Additionally, they lost my luggage. It has been more than 24 hrs since I landed and I still haven't heard anything from them as to where my luggage was, when I should expect it why it still hasn't been delivered. Overall, a terrible experience."

Anyway, I am very disappointed how Sas didn't notify us. It would have been even nastier if we had got to the airport before realizing that flight was cancelled."

On top of an $1100 flight? You have to be kidding me."

I was told by the flight attendant that people in back of plane were freezing. The breakfast was good, but the dinner was ok, but not ‘I wish I could have seconds” good. I lowered the rating because they never gave us more than the one bottle of water that was on our seats when we arrived. That may have been ok for the people in the cold part of the plane but not for us in the sweating part. Luckily we had brought a big bottle of water."

Výhody: "The plane from SFO to Coppenhaggen was modern and clean. The flight crew was friendly and efficient. I would fly with them again."
Nevýhody: "The seat was not well padded for the bottom.@9 m"

Výhody: "I purchased Plus and found it a good value. My seat on the overseas leg was comfortable -- though it could have reclined better. The food & drink service was conducted as at an elegant restaurant."

Výhody: "The gate agent at check-in was very helpful and knowledgeable. The entire ground crew did a good job. The crew was friendly and attentive. The plane was clean. The entertainment options were more than adequate. Bathrooms were well kept."
Nevýhody: "I know you can't expect coach to be luxurious. But the space between seats in the airline industry in general have gotten ridiculously small. Words were exchanged between my wife and the lady (nothing extreme, but still) in the seat in front of her. When the lady leaned her seat back, my wife could barely watch her movie. All in all, I would definitely fly SAS again."

Výhody: "The crew was nice, the plane was large and had many bathrooms. The seats were comfortable enough and there was a good selection of movies to watch."
Nevýhody: "The boarding process was completely disorganized and hectic. The woman making the announcements on the plane was extremely soft spoken and the PA system was static-y so I could neither hear nor understand any of the announcements. The refrigeration system for the food also broke down on the plane so we weren't fed our second meal. Instead, they chose the cheapest and most unappealing snack of plain almonds to give us. Despite confirming our luggage situation with us at the first airport repeatedly (because of our connecting flight) SAS still temporarily lost our baggage when we arrived at our final destination and caused us to stay an additional hour at the airport after already having spent an exhausting day travelling."

Nevýhody: "Flight delayed so that would not be able to make the SAS flight. Therefore had to switch flights to go to CHicago instead. But initial flight was booked under alaska--but boarding pass unable to be printed from any of the kiosks and we were told to talk to American. American didn't know anything about it. THen stood in Assistance line for 45 minutes to be told that we needed to talk to VIrgin American. They rebooked us on to American, which then promptly was also delayed for several hours, and we thereby missed our connection. Throughout the process there were no customer service representatives either in person or on the phone who were remotely helpful. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."

Nevýhody: "The SFO crew was not helpful at all. Upon check-in, the SFO to Copenhagen leg of the flight was 2.5 hours delayed. When I expressed concern to the SFO ground crew, they said "You'll be taken care of in Copenhagen" in a very dismissive manner. I noted that we would miss our connecting flight (Copenhagen to LHR) and that there wouldn't be another direct flight that day. The SFO crew member told me that I was wrong that there was another flight available (a 4:30 pm flight). I told her that that flight wasn't on the SAS website and she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about in a rude manner. When I arrived in Copenhagen, the ground crew informed me that there was not a 4:30 pm flight and there never was. To get to London, I had to be fly first to Frankfurt then to London on another airline. Overall, this delay cost me over 6 hours. Utterly unacceptable and will never fly SAS again."

Nevýhody: "Crew attitude was not pleasant: no smile, no "you're welcome", as they were robots. Food was terrible."

Nevýhody: "to realise at the airport that they will charge me 70 EUR for one luggage for one way only is outrageous! it wasnt clear at all that there wasnt luggage included in the price of the ticket... all of my previous tickets bought via kayak and priceline were also with luggage included and we have understood the given price as including luggage! i find it very negative and very bad experience and feel robbed, this is not acceptable business approach. my suggestion is that you will refund me the extra cost for the luggage. thank you."

Nevýhody: "Sad that only one soft drink is included although for an overnight flight it was fine."

Výhody: "I upgraded for reasonable $$ and it was great - will do it again! Flight was in time, easy, friendly service and good flight"

Nevýhody: "staff at the gate kept changing my seat without my consent. i had reserved a seat online and they ended up seating me aomewhere else."

Nevýhody: "So you lost my luggage.. These things happen. However.. If someone pays 8 k for a one way ticket you might be able to come to the conclusion that it's an urgent trip as is. And respond or /and follow up so that I know what to do as far as cancel all things and /or max out my cc to get the things I need. Nothing from you, no word. No one picking up the phones. 8 thousand dollars worth of silence."

Nevýhody: "My flight was canceled the day before my departure via email. The customer service contact number for SAS did not work--I tried multiple times over the course of 12hrs+. The online help page gave a 404 error. I had no way of contacting anyone from SAS. Later that night (night before I was supposed to depart), I received another email saying I was booked on a United flight about 5hrs earlier than I planned on leaving. I had to cancel my morning plans with my wife to make the earlier flight. I never (still, a week later) was able to contact anyone from SAS."

Výhody: "The direct flight makes a difference and leaving from SFO is easy. Boarding was a cinch and it was a pleasant surprise to find a pillow, blanket, and headphones waiting at my seat. Once we were settled in and in the air, it was a pretty comfortable ride. The in flight enteretainment has good content, as long as your console works. Meals were very good and served at good times. There was also plenty of water available at the attendants station throughout the flight. There's no booze offered with meals for free, so if you want a drink you're going to pay for it."
Nevýhody: "There were a LOT of families with small children who clearly had never flown or did not like to fly. Despite it being close to the bathrooms, it might be a better option to get seats further away from the doors (the extended legroom also provides space for a hanging crib). I was woken up by crying quite a bit. While the legroom is good, the reclining angle of the seats counters that if you also don't recline your seat. Also check for seats with entertainment boxes under them, as you lose a lot of space to store your things and extend your legs under the seat in front of you."

Nevýhody: "It was very cold."
