The check-in process in Rome at FCO with Delta was the worse I have experienced. First the app didn't work so almost every passenger had to check-in. The line went literally out the building. Delta only has two people at the counters. After about 1hr they brought two more. The boarding process was regular nothing special. The food was awful, dull and cold. The crew member were super nice and professional.

Once you finally get your sticker from them it’s a quick trip through customs. Then the pain really begins with a security scan st each individual gate to enter a boarding area for the plane. Then I was pulled for extra security where a male agent touched my but with some sort of swab with no warning. He then claimed to not speak English (with zero accent when I asked him a question). It was a humiliating and very long process all run by delta!"

Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

I don't understand why they couldn't let me through or hold for me. It ruin my ground transportation reservation which I had to reschedule. The whole thing was frustrating and cost me more money that what i thought i was saving."

Even after a flight change on the first leg, boarding out of Tijuana was delayed by at least 45 minutes due to lack of flight crew."

Výhody: "We got an upgrade to 1st class. However because it’s an older plane, 1st class was just recliner seats. This was an overnight flight, so anything helped. It would have been nicer to have seats lay further back in 1st class. We did not have food since we slept the whole way."

Broken and uncomfortable seats. Lacked entertainment. Plane should be retired or have major upgrades. Otherwise, this plane should be used for short (less than 2 hours) flights."

Business class and first have been upgraded with new features."
Výhody: "Too many passengers, crazy lines and the food not great. Flight crew was friendly and helpful. Was great in terms of flight time. Flight arrive earlier than expect. Was smooth flight in terms of turbulence."
Nevýhody: "Food. I didn’t like my seat, was uncomfortable."
Výhody: "A cheap option to upgrade to 1st was offered that ended up being a net 0 cost upgrade for me so I took it. Comfortable on an old (but oh so nice) aircraft."
Nevýhody: "Arrived 30 minutes early to the airport but then had to sit at a remote pad so that we ended up being 5 minutes late to the gate. A short transfer was made even more difficult, and a massive waste if time and fuel sitting and waiting. Figure out your gates early and better, and move around if needed. At the very least, bring up some stairs and buses to get passengers to the terminal and then tow the aircraft in when you have a gate available."
Nevýhody: "Old overhead monitors for movies. Audio did not work at my seat."
Výhody: "The crew members were friendly."
Nevýhody: "Everything. The outdated planes need to be renovated with seatback screens. The entertainment featured on the aisle screens were unappealing. The economy seats are smaller than on other planes we've flown in; my husband could not fit his legs in his own leg area and was miserable the entire flight. And lastly, the plane was freezing, even after turning off the air overhead. Everyone around me was huddled under their skinny blankets shivering."
Výhody: "There was ample food."
Nevýhody: "No individual tvs or phone chargers or in flight wifi available. Flight was delayed. Luggage was emptied onto a different carousel instead of the one that was posted. There was no announcement made of the carousel change."
Nevýhody: "Flight was cancelled with no compensation"
Nevýhody: "Plane was hot, dinner was a sandwich that was still frozen and the attendants weren’t friendly."
Výhody: "Quick and efficient boarding, on time, when I asked at the gate for a window seat, I was accommodated. The food was very tasty and the flight attendants pleasant. Overall happy with this flight!"
Nevýhody: "It is impossible to sit comfortably due to the headrest that pushed my head forward regardless how I positioned it and removing it was impossible. There were no individual screens with in-flight entertainment and although I usually read or sleep, I can see how it would bother someone."
Výhody: "The flight was smooth sailing from the beginning to the end and the meal service was good."
Nevýhody: "A little bit of turbulence during the final descent into the airport made it a bit uncomfortable."
Výhody: "crew was great, plane seemed newer and clean. individual screens worked better than others I've used in flights."
Nevýhody: "newer touch screens were great except viewing angle couldn't be adjusted. standard food was horrible, esp for an international flight; not sure if specialty diets have better meals. kid movies were dubbed into many language options but Chinese was not one for ANY kid films. bathrooms with the same crappy mini sinks that you can't really wash your hands in, esp if someone pukes in it. they should all learn from Japan's ANA airliners with the motion sensor sinks with faucets raised up high enough for you to wash your hands without touching the gross basin."
Výhody: "Friendly flight attendants and nice to kids"
Nevýhody: "Being held inside the plane for a total of 5:30 hours before taking off. Even if there were several concurring factors, it it necessary to find a better procedure in order to avoid keeping passangers inside a plane with the prospect of taking off in the next half hour repeated every half hour! For the ones of us traveling with children it is even worse, and becomes a real nightmare."
Výhody: "Entertainment, food and smooth flight."
Nevýhody: "Did not like Early boarding with known mechanical problems, waited for almost 2 hours inside aircraft before taking off. Crew okay but could be more courteous."
Výhody: "Crew was friendly and boarding was smooth"
Nevýhody: "Plane took off a little late but not enough to mess up my plans"
Nevýhody: "Delays when other airlines with same destination did not have them. The constant asking if is move seats. No means no."
Výhody: "Not much"
Nevýhody: "Initially the flight was booked with my wife and seated next to each other. Somehow during the switch in airlines the seats were separated. We were forced to see if we could find a passenger flying alone to switch with. Additionally the 767 did not have individual entertainment screen. Being able to watch movies of your choice makes a long flight more enjoyable."
Výhody: "Nothing... did not end up taking the flight as when we got to the airport to check in they told us that they overbooked and we had to take a flight the next morning. They did offer to put us up in a hotel and pay for the taxi to and from but we were not pleased. We needed to get to our destination that night so we had to buy tickets on another airline."
Nevýhody: "See above."
Výhody: "I like the movie selection"
Nevýhody: "The landing was horrible like slamming on the brakes in traffic. Also when I bought the ticket from Alaska Airlibes on kayak I had bought it at a higher price specifically for that. There was an American Airlines ticket that was cheaper but I opted to pay more because I thought I was flying on Alaska not American. I was very disappointed to see that I was actually flying on American once I was pro ting my ticket and after purchase and "no refund" message. I was very upset about that!"
Výhody: "The flight was tip top and the flight attendants made all the difference! Going out of the way to brew fresh coffee!! Huge"
Nevýhody: "The stewardesses repeatedly rammed their cart into my seat. They were so rude. it was appalling. I will never fly american airlines again"
Výhody: "The plane was new and nice looking"
Nevýhody: "The flight was delayed. The crew was rude . Seats were not assigned until boarding NPILWL3B. Of course they give you the worst seats."
Nevýhody: "Delayed 1 hour because crew announced there was a discrepancy between # passengers boarding central records. Flight crew didn't do anything to comfort passengers during this. Captain made one announcement about turbulence once at the beginning but nothing else for 1/2 hour or longer long turbulence period. Crew took away tray without asking. Ran out of water. Doors did not open for quite awhile after docking but crew said nothing. Seats so small one had to keep elbows glued to body to eat without touching neighbors. Felt like cattle being driven to slaughter. Min"
Nevýhody: "Old plane with no tvs or power source for a 5 1/2 hour flight. Dirty plane too."
Výhody: "Check in Miami Stewards Miami Quito portion"
Nevýhody: "Being 3 1/2 hours late from Quito to Miami Being delayed from Denver to Houston and switch to United to coach seats, they did give us coupons though, but after the fact . Luggage arriving late from Denver, customer service didn't have a clue were the luggage was. As we were leaving to come back next day the luggage, we saw it in a carrousel, and pick it up. Republic flight from New Orleans it's not worth it the business class, very poor service ."
Nevýhody: "I paid for an upgrade to Business and my seat would not recline. Spent the whole 6 hours in one position."
Výhody: "I loved that the on demand movies were free! The time went by so fast!"
Nevýhody: "I didn't like that it said Alaska Airlines but it was really American so I ran 4 terminals and had to go through agricultural inspection twice. The guy at the counter didn't want me to check in my bag because it was 58 mins before my flight. The lady at the station really helped me and let me check my bag."
Výhody: "On time"
Nevýhody: "We were so crowded. No leg room. The lady next to me was too big for her seat so it was hot and sweaty the whole way"
Výhody: "The professionalism of the pilots in handling the extremely rough weather during the flight"
Nevýhody: "The meal of a turkey sandwich on dry bread was forgettable . They are co - shared with Qantas and could learn a lot about providing a decent meal on a long expensive flight"
Výhody: "Great customer service from the ticketing agents, gate agents, flight attendants and pilots!"
Nevýhody: "My flight was changed 3 times-- always pick a window seat and was changed to aisle seat. The attitude at the ticket counter was "you're lucky to get any seat", flight was overbooked, the boarding process and deplaning were absurd with all the people bringing on way too much carry on luggage !!! It takes almost 30 min to get off the plane!!"
Výhody: "At 6' 2" I was surprised that, with the seat in front of me not reclined (and fortunately no one ever did), my knees actually had a bit of room and were not pressed into the seat back in front of me. That and the flight schedule went smoothly - everything was on time."
Nevýhody: "Maybe a couple of other sandwich options might have gotten me to pay for one."
Výhody: "Everything was on time. American sometimes has free movies you can watch"
