However, I have NOTHING good to say regarding Lufthansa/KAYAK/Vaymara regarding your missed flight/re-booking policy, nor working with anyone who speaks anything other than broken English at best. If it had been possible my mother and I would have completed the flight from Frankfurt to Houston on 5/15/16; however, my mother's medical condition precluded that from happening. I submitted hospital admission paperwork which I was told that the airline was requesting that I needed to get the forms in English. REALLY???? We were in Germany; the hospital admission and discharge paperwork are in German. Lufthansa is a German - based airline. Nobody speaks or can read German? The hospital did not offer an option of English paperwork and I could pay for translating the paperwork for a price and it would take a couple of weeks.. I had to re-book through another carrier after receiving clearance and a certificate that my mother was medically cleared to fly. The price was ridiculously high but I had no other option since your representative told me it would take 4-6 weeks to reach a decision. Thank you so VERY much for inquiring in to my satisfaction on flight from Frankfurt to Houston Intercontinental on Lufthansa. As you can tell....it was quite the experience."

Eventually routed via Lisbon which meant literally flying all night to arrive at 0600. Lufthansa and Austrian have some serious faults to correct."

Food isn't great, but no airline food is really great. Boarding was significantly delayed from what it said on the boarding pass, with no updates. But we arrived on time. Getting luggage after flight at Dulles took a really long time, but I think that is more of an airport issue as getting my luggage from another Austrian airlines flight to another airport was a breeze."

Had to then go to the only counter in the terminal to see if we could get on standby. Finally got on a flight to JFK instead at 5:15pm."

I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Nevýhody: "Checking in and luggage drop off was chaos. One useless staff person failed to tell people where to line up to drop bags off until the end. She just stood there and if you asked a question she gave you the wrong answer. In Newerk we had to wait 2 hours for our bags. The man st the AC office had no idea why the bags were not coming and could not get someone to tell him and emotionally dithered and then fell apart. I will avoid travelling on AC again if I can. Worst flight ever. They did not have enough food on board either. At least the pilots were competent."

Výhody: "Boarding was excellent, most of the staff except one was excellent. The flight was smooth. Got hooked on a new series that I started watching on the plane."
Nevýhody: "The wait time between flights on the way home was brutal but you expect that if you are flying on points. What made it worse was that I had to leave the secure area and collect my bags then wait 8 hours in the airport only to go through security again. On top of that trying to get my baggage tag there was a female agent that should have retired 100 years ago directing people like it was our fault she still had to work. If you can't be nice you should not be in customer service."
Výhody: "Not to have to change plane between Prague and Toronto."
Nevýhody: "No entertainment on plane, so 9 hrs reading or looking into air. Employee did only what they has to do, had missing buttons on their uniforms, shoe which were not polished since they were new. Bathroom were running out of paper."
Nevýhody: "This review is about Air Canada from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Our flight was cancelled the flight for technical reason, without a notice. We found out when we got to the airport with four children. We were put on a later flight that also left Los Angeles later than the scheduled time. We arrived to Vancouver so late that we could not make the latest BC Ferry to Victoria that left at 9:00 pm. We lost our hotel reservation in Victoria. We were stranded in Vancouver till we could find a hotel that cost us an extra $600 (US dollars), an extra reservation for the ferry and lost a precious half a day of our vacation. When we complained about this wasted time and money Air Canada did not utter not even a clear simple apology. It offered a lousy discount on our next flight with the company, believing that we may ever use such an uncaring company"
Nevýhody: "Air Canada offers this flight DAILY. Yet somehow the boarding was the most excruciating tedious I’ve had to endure. Passengers who needed assistance boarding seemed to have to deal with haphazard organisation, and the fact that they seemed surprised so many people brought carry-on luggage that the bins filled up is laughable. Changed my return flight to Alaska Air."
Nevýhody: "Air Canada did everything wrong except for the actual flying of planes. Repeated delays and cancellations with NO organization or communication to the passengers. I made it to my final destination 24 hours later than original itinerary, almost all of which was spent in airport lines. My bag didn't arrive until 5 days later...on the wrong porch."
Nevýhody: "The seats are small and uncomfortable"

Nevýhody: "The screens in front of the seats didn't work for everyone. They attempted to fix the system by restarting it, but the problem remained unfixed."
Výhody: "Flight Attendants were courteous and friendly."
Nevýhody: "Plane was small, seats not very comfortable, entertainment system was down. After traveling 24 hours it was not pleasant. Additionally, coming from Vancouver on a late arrival, no one helped expedite me to the flight. I had to leave International, clear immigration and Customs, then enter immigration and US Customs. When I told anyone I was possibly missing my next flight it was met with a shrug, as if it was just my problem. Not a good way to treat customers."
Nevýhody: "Going through 6 stages of security!!!! I understand to be safe, but good grief! I bought a bottle of liquor in the duty free at the Budapest airport thinking doing it this way I would not get harassed. Wrong!!! They freaked out and held us up even longer! We almost missed our last flight because of all the security steps we had to go through!!! And so did many other people. It's a ridiculous system, it should all be done at once with only having to stay in the long line ONCE! And to scan our own passports and waiting to see our name on some board to be able to leave that particular room just to be met with even longer lines afterwards is insane. I am not a tech savvy person, as I am sure a lot of others are not either, and I got barely any help to show me how the heck to do all of that! Unacceptable!! And to top everything off, an item was stolen out of my daughter's suitcase somewhere along the way!! Replacing it cost me about $40!!!"

Výhody: "Meals were good and I do like the premium economy seats."
Nevýhody: "One issue that the premium economy seats have is that they recline button is very stiff to push. Then when you have final pushed it in then push back on the seat it falls to the full recline position, potentially surprising the passenger behind. I thought this was isolated to this flight but have now encountered in 2 subsequent flights in AC premium economy."
Nevýhody: "my flight was late leaving midland and therefore I missed my flight from houston to toronto NO one at the Houston United airport counters would help me I stood in line at customer service for an hour and a half just so they could tell me to go see some one at the Air Canada to confirm my rebook and that my flight was delayed an hour anyway and I probably could have made it!!"
Výhody: "Delayed without cell phone text notification update."

Nevýhody: "Everything. Crowded. Cramped. The curtain between First Class and Economy was archaic and insulting. On my departure flight, I had the unfortunate row that divided the elite from the peasants. IIt enabled me to see how the staff fawned over the Elite while we waited for minimal attention."
Nevýhody: "I've never been on a transatlantic flight that didn't offer a drink with dinner. Plus, not having a TV screen for passenger's entertainment is out dated. Time to upgrade these planes, or don't use them for long haul flights"
Výhody: "The cabin crew was friendly and very attentive, since they realized the passengers couldn't get any peace or comfort due to the screaming child problem."
Nevýhody: "Nine hour flight from Warsaw to Toronto, 7 hours of on and off ear-piercing screaming two year old child. Even though it was a daytime flight, most passengers wanted to sleep due to early morning wake up and previous connections. Even for somebody who wished to stay awake, there was nothing pleasurable about this situation. The airlines are going to have to figure out how to deal with this ever-increasing problem on long-distance flights, like a closed door quiet space for the parent and child. It was like being trapped in a torture chamber. If an adult had created that much commotion and misery on a flight, they would have been forcefully subdued and probably arrested. A few minutes of a crying baby can be excused, but this was non-stop disturbance by an unruly child and complacent parent(s)."

Nevýhody: "For a 9 hour flight, I would have preferred a heads up that there is no in-flight entertainment and you need to have a charged device of your own with the Air Canada app pre-installed. And if you didn't get that memo and you have an Apple device, you're out of luck. Otherwise you can rent an iPad for $10. The chairs were thin and flimsy making it difficult to sleep. And unfortunately we got a "window seat" that did not have a window. It was very disappointing."

Filthy bathrooms on plane Typical bad airline food; couldn't even break apart dinner roll it was so rubbery. No individual movie screens, had to use your own mobile device and earphones or pay $10 to use an ipad provided by the plane to access in-flight network. Overall very disappointing service. Expected much more from Air Canada."

Výhody: "The commuter terminal in Toronto is a bit of a pit. Basically a glorified hallway, which gets pretty chaotic while you are waiting for your flight, and others are queuing up. For anyone with mobility challenges it is a long hike from the main terminal."

Nevýhody: "Getting checked in London was a pain. Air Canada had changed my original flight over (a change I wasn't happy with) and then when I got to LHR had marked my record for a change fee! Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Crew was generally inattentive, absent, and hardly friendly. At one point I was instructed how to load my (tiny) food tray properly after the meal. I am sorry but you are working for the airline and I am paying for service, which I didn't get."

Nevýhody: "The second part, from Toronto to Houston was the pitts. First of all they called me to the gate way before the boarding time and so I was a bit worried but when i got there there was nothing, they just confirmed I arrived from Montreal. This was strange and so I got a bit stressed as to why they had a called me and made me rush in the first place. Anyway, minor compared to the rest of the experience. The flight boarding was late, then an unscheduled stop in memphis for extra gas, then a tech problem that needed maintenance kept on on the ground. We finally made it to our destination 2 hours late. Most fellow passengers missed connecting flights and because we got out of the airport after midnight needed to get a cab to our accommodations. While I appreciate the attention to safety (and the curteous crew who obviously felt bad and were taking a lot of shit) we what was supposed to be a 3 hour flight ended up being 5 and there were no meals for sale,very limited snacks. We got one complimentary ,half can of juice and a bag of tiny bag spicy trail mix (labelled ranch) that i could not eat. After the delays we got an extra glass of complimentary cranberry juice. Which was amazing, but really did not cut it (from 5:15- midnight). By the end I was uncomfortable and starving! This was a radically disappointing experience in compared to the Ari Canada portion of the trip."

We had a party of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) our seating was split sporadically, the 2 adults were split and placed in two different rows next to 2 other single individuals. The 2 children were placed in the back rows. Same rows next time!!!"
