Nevýhody: "1. I joined at Bangalore. The staff worked strictly according to the rules. While this is good it lends itself to passenger discomfort at times. Example: I had only 1 suitcase of 45 pounds, and I had a hand baggage of 13.7 kgs, because I was carrying all my precious crystalware back to Houston. The attendant kept insisting I lighten the hand baggage to les than 7 kgs. Finally he even suggested I send the hand baggage as checked luggage. He must be insane! I had a few thousand dollars worth of crystal in that hand bag and there was no way I'd send as checked luggage. Finally, I lightened the load to 10 kgs and called his manager and I was allowed to carry the hand luggage. 2. On landing at Dubai, everything unraveled. The airport was full of thousands of stranded passengers because 18 hours ago a plane had crash-landed at the tarmac causing flight cancellations. Obviously Emirates was poorly prepared for handling this this emergency. Many of the passengers, including myself, ended up standing at the customer service counters (there were about 10 customer service stations all over the airport), and every customer station had about 500 irate passengers and 3 or 4 agents handling them. Not only that, the customers were standing in stuffy atmosphere, no fod no water for hours, many mothers were desperate with children. Emirates had no idea how to handle this situation. I caught hold of a senior police official and told him that the least he could do was to give the customers some bottled water to keep them hydrated. Within minutes, in typical Arab hospitality - many cases of bottled water showed up, followed by cupcakes and then Mango Frootis. This helped to calm the passengers down. Then there was the chaos of everyone crowding the service desk. No lines, no semblance of order. After discussion with the policeman, we installed barriers for that passengers would stand single file. One thing that was very wrong and out of our control was there were only 3, sometimes 4, persons behind the desk, attending to more than 500 stranded passengers at each station. I reckon we would need at least 20 or 30 staff at each station. I noted that at each customer depot there were at least 10 computer stations at our service station, but only 3 were manned. Also, there was no one to advise the passengers on their status, what arrangements were being made, what the status update of the situation was...... nothing. We just stood in a bunch at the customer service desk and hoped for some attention. Appalling. Emirates needs to beef up their crisis management strategies. As a Crisis Manager myself, I was appalled to see how poor their capability to respond to a crisis situation was. I have many ideas based on my experience in crisis management. If you want suggestions call me. Besides this crisis, Emirates has always been a very good airline to me. Their everyday service is impeccable and a treat to experience. I am a Gold Member of Star Alliance for more than 20 years and have flown dozens of times on Swiss and would expect courtesy and consideration in return for my loyalty to their airline. Their flight from Hong Kong to Zurich leaves at 00:15. I mistakenly booked this for Nov 9th instead of the intended late evening of the 9th which then turns out to be Nov 10th. When I discovered my error, I called Swiss at least six times to explain my error and ask if my son could stand by for the same flight on the 10th or even apply the amount to rebook the same flight the next day. ZERO flexibility or consideration. Missed flight, lose entire value. Start from scratch. Astonished that an airline that claims to be serving their customers would treat me this way. I travel through Europe at least 6-10 times a year from Asia. I will now route through Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, London, Vienna, Instanbul or even Moscow before ever going through Zurich again. I encourage anyone making travel plans to be very careful when considering flights with Swiss Airlines. Perhaps this treatment of a loyal customer explains why they went through bankruptcy already once."

We left the departure gate 30 minutes later than scheduled, after arriving at 0445 am. then we loaded a bus full of people packed together, the bus went 50 meters and stopped. We then sat there, with no air conditioning, no information, for 45 additional minutes. It was extremely uncomfortable. Finally drove another 50 meters to the airplane, and waited some more before finally boarding. Once on board there was another delay of some 20 minutes before we could taxi. All of this meant we arrived quite late in Istanbul and missed all connections."

Nevýhody: "40 min delay of the first flight got me into a waiting loop of 5 hours at Istanbul. Boarding included waiting time in the cold bus for passengers who arrived delayed. Security check was extremely slow - one xray machine for all passengers arriving from Dar. All in all had already better flights with Turkish"
Did not like . My whole itenery was changed. They canceled my flight. You even did not informed me. Very poor service. Never come back to you.

Nevýhody: "We were advised upon check in online that we could check in but if we needed additional carry on items (1 was free) we had to pay a secondary fee. When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

Výhody: "I flew premium economy from Hong Kong to Frankfurt on the A340-600. The crew was excellent, attentive and friendly. They always have a great attitude and this has been consistent with my previous experiences with Lufthansa. The seat and meal were average for premium economy, but the crew more than made up for it."

The other person in the row had to get up to allow me in and out and I still had to make sure not to pull on the seat in front of me just trying to get up out of the seat. Thankfully, I only had to get out twice through the whole flight."

For two days now, his luggage with his nebulizer and asthma medications has gone missing and not ONE person at Lufthansa is willing to help on their end. Since his last leg was with Ethiopian Airlines, Lufthansa is unwilling to help in any fashion or form in helping to track the luggage that flew with them over two flights. They DENY they have any responsibility to help because it's not their "policy." They wouldn't even look into their computers to see where the luggage was last seen. I am so angry that "policy" is more important to Lufthansa than actual human caring about their passengers."
Nevýhody: "The buses to the planes had no ac. It was like a sauna. The plane was not ready for boarding so you were in the bus for 25 minutes. It was in the 90s in the bus before they opened the doors"

That's why I was in the restroom when they blocked me in My headset jack was broken. 500 movies aren't worth anything if I can't hear them"

Výhody: "Most Improved Player - Finnair has done the best experience in overall long haul flights out of the 40plus airlines I have flown in the last 3 years; brand new planes, nice and diverse cabin crew, beautiful lightings videos details chocolates etc, best entertainment system in the industry, and things always go smooth in Helsinki airport. Awesome imrpovement over recent years."

Finnair can work harder to keep customer service quality high. Hate to say it, but perhaps letting the bitter, last generation flight attendants who seem to have a grudge about the decline of the glamour and benefits of the job as flying has become commonplace with more competition (seen this on Finnair & N America’s older airlines line United)"

It took at least 30 minutes to get off the plane and then getting through customs was a nightmare. Arrival board at O'Hare said plane was on time, but listed gate as 0, which of course doesn't exist so our ride home had no idea what was going on or what was taking so long and ended up waiting over three hours for us to get through everything to meet them."

Výhody: "I have Parkinson's disease, and my ability to walk is dependent on how long it has been since I last took carbidopa/levodopa, and how much I have exercised while standing since taking my medicine. I have difficulty walking narrow aisles, and in crowds. The staff was very understanding, and let me pre-board, ensured someone was there to help me deplane, carried my carry-on for me, and did everything possible to assist me. The crew/staff was wonderful!"

Nevýhody: "My family's seats were separated by several rows. The airport gate was not manned until several minutes before boarding time. We had to ride a bus to board the plane. There was an extra passport check. The plane had a very old and outdated entertainment system."

Avoid Helsinki airport like the plague for stopovers: bad signage, woeful information how to get to the city efficiently in English. HORRIBLE experience when trying to get lost property: you got to PAY for your initial email or pay top dollar just for a stupid and aggravating phone call!!! The number of exclamation marks is not exaggerated here. You can't even ask if they even have the item in their possession. Rarely had such a bad experience at an airport, and I travel a lot for work. This alone makes me think thrice about EVER getting Finnair again. Same company that manages the airport, so I'm giving this flight a bad review."
