We couldn't travel on our vacation as planned and we were charged an additional $3,000 to change our tickets."

I got to see the flight crew handle a medical emergency and saw that they were well prepared, efficient, and concerned. The food and entertainment were fine. I felt like the seat space was better than on British which I often use. I had an empty seat next to me however. I was impressed that the flight crew moved a taller gentleman to a premium (exit) seat to accommodate his extra tall stature. He didn't ask, but they wanted him to be comfortable."
Nevýhody: "The airport in Istanbul is pretty manageable. They changed the gate on us twice for the connection, which meant a bit of walking. But the crowd was pretty manageable compared to LHR."

Also, they were much to late in turning on the air conditioning as we loaded and waited for takeoff."

Nevýhody: "There was no air in our section of the plane. The entire flight from Houston to Istanbul was miserable. It was 85 degrees or higher, and every chance we got to complain to a flight attendant was met with dismissal. We were told they were trying to fix it, but really there's nothing they could have done, and they shouldn't have made it sound like if we just waited a little the problem would get fixed. Not only was it hot, but there was no actual air flow of any kind, and as a person with Asthma this was extremely uncomfortable. Our section was right behind the first class section, and the flight attendants kept trying to keep us separated with the curtains, even though the only way we were getting any air was from that cabin. We consistently requested them to leave the curtains open in the hopes that some air would make it's way to us, but there was little change. Some families with newborns were moved to first class, and some passengers were able to scout out and find other available seats throughout the plane, but for the majority of us in that section, we had no air, and were treated very poorly for as much discomfort as we were going through. There was no apology and little acknowledgement to the problem at hand and I felt personally very disrespected by the whole experience."

The flight left on time and that was good considering Houston had just gone through the hurricane."

One but none of them know what i was saying And at the time my flight was sopposed leave 7:50 so I was freaking out And no one helping at that crtical moment I finaly got the delay flight info after running somany times up and down the road"

Well, he failed to inform me if any of the seats were available, so I sat in a window seat to Istanbul and a middle seat to Venice. I had to pay $160 for an extra bag to Venice. I asked if the airline allowed military members to check a third bag for free, I was laughed at, and told that US military members get charged more because we're not in the Turkish military. So as you can see, this trip started off horribly. My flight attendant seemed like she was having a horrible day because her attitude and customer service was bad."

So the agents booked me and my traveling companions on DIFFERENT flights the next day, long after we had paid to be getting to Venice. It took a long time and a lot of work on my part to get our tickets corrected to all be on the same flight, and the whole thing was very unprofessional. The lower price for Turkish airlines is not worth it when you have to spend an entire day of your vacation sitting in the Turkish Airlines airport hotel because Turkish Airlines can't properly get you to your destination on time."

Thought, tgere was another delay and by the time I asked, it was too late to catch my flight and that's when I got a full dose of every single person w Turkish air trying to stiff me with the most outrageous penalty for changing Nguyen my ticket. Started out at $1114 on a $758 ticket, then went down to $925 and if I stay over night, down to $750. Seriously? Rude, talking down at me and telling me that if I don't pay the penalty, my return ticket will be cancelled. I keep getting bounced from one person to another being told to wait here and wait there then I finally got so sick of all of it, bought a new connecting flight online, spending the night in Istanbul and will see what will happen w my return flight to the US. I call this 'theft' as if i buy an entire new ticket from Istanbul to Cairo then back to the US online, it will cost me less than the penalty they're trying to get me to pay. Shame on you Turkish airline!! You'd think w all the issues they're having w tourism in their country these days they'd care about not doing this kind of mistreatment of their clients."

They forced me to check a carry on because they didn't have room in the plane. They told me my bag would arrive with my flight. It never did. I still dont have by only bag. Unbelievable."

The oldest male flight attendant was having a bad day and it affected my row's service. The trip started okay with all the other attendants. Toward the end of the flight, we were served a light breakfast but completely bypassed us regarding drinks. I waited until he came back to ask him because I was literally choking from the breakfast biscuit, but he rudely said, "No!" I had to wait until the aisle cleared so that I could go to the back and get a bottle of water myself. It NEGATIVELY impacted the rest of my trip.
Flight was delayed because it took a really long time to get the plane ready. Boarding was not well-organized. Sandwich with zucchini for breakfast is certainly cheap and has an interesting taste, but not a great combo.
Horrible customer service.

Výhody: "We were traveling from IAH gto FRA with two dogs. One in a crate and one in a small carry on dog bag. Lufthansa handled the process very well. They expected us at the airport, helped us through the entire checkin with a smile, helpful information and care. They brought us and our dog to TSA and after boarding confirmed that our dog had been loaded and safely taken care of. The cabin crew also checked on us and our in cabin dog. I don't know any other airline that makes traveling with a dog so easy and pleasant."

Nevýhody: "The plane was 1 hour late and the plane wasn't even at the gate for its expected departure time. The boarding process was too long and take off took too long, thus causing me to miss my connecting flight. So that I missed my Saturday interview."
Nevýhody: "We were advised upon check in online that we could check in but if we needed additional carry on items (1 was free) we had to pay a secondary fee. When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

We disregarded this on the first flight, but when it happened on the next flight similarly, we asked if we could get our children the chicken meal. The air hostess explained they had no more. But she presented the two options to the fellow passenger behind us. We were extremely offended by the way we were treated. The airlines offers no entertainment for children as do other airlines. In fact, one air hostess went so far as to ask me to tell my Lil one to MUTE the volume of his ipad."

Nevýhody: "Only two passport gates for non EU passengers at Frankfurt. Four employees at EU gates sat there and laughed at the angry crowd. Lufthansa should have anticipated this mass of people and had appropriate passport checkers there from that company. "Not our fault" does not cut it. Two planes 600 people each landed at same time. I'd guess a quarter missed connection. The process of rescheduling was a comedy of lies and inefficiency and lack of concern. Worst air travel experience ever. Ruined first two days of my vacation. Oh yea forgot the worst. No air conditioner running on runway at Houston at three in afternoon. Passengers visibly sweating before a nine out overseas flight. Blamed it on a mistake."

Nevýhody: "First of all, the boarding took an hour longer than it should have been so we all sat in the plane dripping with sweat, because it was 100 degrees in Houston and the plane didn't have A/C on until we took off. Food was not good, some mysterious meat they called beef stew and veggies with strange texture. We ended up drinking more since the food was bad. The entertainment choices were OK but the equipment was a bit ancient, my husband's screen ( we sat in the front where screen pulled out of the seat) was broken and was held by a duct tape(???!!!) The seats are small, I have flown with other companies on transatlantic flights and their seats are bigger and more comfortable in economy class."

Nevýhody: "The flight was late in departing and then rerouted from Frankfurt to Manchester causing many passengers to loose connection. The reasongiven was a crew scheduling issue. Compensation upon arrival at Frankfurt was nil unless you asked and if you did you got an insulting 7 euros which barely even paid for coffee. No apology to people given just a "business as usual, it is your problem attitude". At arrival in Frankfurt there was a pass the buck attitude where any questions of connecting flights, and reroutes was forwarded to a Lufthansa counter that was NOT manned by anyone. Very frustrated."

If only all airline check was like this!"

I am a 6'2" tall person stuck in between two 300+ men. Not only did I feel uncomfortable I felt unsafe. When I asked if I could upgrade to premium economy or even business it was a straight no without even looking in the system to see if their were open seats. The girl in front of me ate with her seat reclined which allowed me a whole inch of space to bring my food to my mouth. Terrible airline and terrible experience. If I could cuss in this review I would."

Additionally, the connection time at LHR was too short. While we made the flight (having to run) but our bags did not, which was an annoyance."

Entertainment - none, this being BA short haul (others can manage it but not BA)"

Výhody: "To be honest, I liked that some of the flight attendants were friendly. Honestly, all but Nicola were nice and friendly. Nicola was the only rude one. So rude that I took note of her name for such a review like this :). I also liked that we got to our destination safely."
Nevýhody: "Flight was delayed almost 3 hours total. The first 45 minutes we were in the airport and they said they were delayed because of an engineering issue which was fine. They then stated that they resolved it and had us board the plane.... ten minutes later the pilot states that the same engineering issue is still being worked on and it'll be about another ten minutes. Well... TWO HOURS after being trapped on the plane and told repeatedly "it'll be another 10-15 minutes" ,we finally took off. The food was subpar, most of the airline staff was polite save for one gentleman at the gate who made a sarcastic comment to me about them trying to board quickly when I couldn't find my passport (after making us wait 45 minutes... then another 2 hours... yeah board quickly for what?). And the flight attendant Nicola was incredibly rude and appeared to condescend to some passengers in various ways. That 3 hour delay ended up costing me my connecting flight and I was booked on an overcrowded flight leaving 4 hours later and that was also delayed almost another hour (surprise!). My first day of vacation, I basically lost my whole first day as I arrived 8 hours after I was meant to because of delays by B.A."

Nevýhody: "The guy seated next to me was too big for his seat and he took up about 20% of my seat. Absolutely disgusting. My seat should have cost 20% less because I did not have access to my full space. Crew should be trained to not allow customers who cannot fit into a single seat to only have a ticket for one seat. The crew identifies bags that do not fit, they should do the same thing with people."

The range was zero to 3 hours late. Finally, we departed about 80 minutes late. The blame was on weather but I did not believe them. I looked from the window - weather was fine with slight drizzle and about 3000 ft overcast. Also, the flight to Prague had no food but mostly no drinks no sodas. I'm questioning their business practices when they were asking about 5 pounds for a drink. I will fly with some other airlines next time."

Výhody: "Leg room was much better than in economy particularly for those of us over 6 feet tall. The food was quite good and better than what is normally served in Economy."
Nevýhody: "Toilet facilities were in the economy cabin so there was no benefit to Premium Economy passengers - so much for a separate cabin as advertised. The seats weren't comfortable in fact normal economy seats are probably more comfortable. I was near one of the separating curtain as the cabin crew were often "bursting" through rather than pulling the curtain apart. Being on overnight flight it meant I got very little sleep let alone the children yelling and laughing loudly through the night - could the cabin crew say something! I had paid the extra for premium economy so I could do some work and get some sleep before I landed. I managed to do some work but got very little sleep."
Nevýhody: "BA lounge sucks big deal! Awful food, full of old and sleeping people, felt like a nursing home."
Výhody: "I loved the headrest on the seat. Easiest headrest for sleeping I have ever had. No neck rolling around. Especially important for long overnight flight. The recline on the seat was also lovely. For economy class, I slept amazingly well!"
Nevýhody: "Food was ok, and seats were quite close together. I have status on another airline and usually fly in a premium economy seat. This was absolutely fine in a pinch, and I would do it again. But more room between seats would be nice."
Výhody: "No crying babies."
Nevýhody: "Late, late, late. Then they informed me that they didn't know where my luggage was. What a crummy, long day."
Výhody: "Our original flight was delayed an hour, then 4 hours, then eventually cancelled. The last gate crew gave us no updates other than saying it was being delayed to a maintenance check. We eventually had to rebook our direct flight from ORD to CDG to then ORD to LHR and then to CDG. Because of this delay we missed most of our first day in Paris. The flight crew from LHR to CDG was very polite and friendly! I will be doing business with British Airways again in the near future. I will not be doing business with American Airlines anytime soon. Neither will my friends and family once they find out about my horrible experience with their lackluster customer service."
