Swiss was better than United flight I take to Newark to Mumbai
Swiss air was really easy to fly- except for having to pay for extra baggage at the Lufthansa counter.

Nevýhody: "Entertainment didn’t work, the crew did nothing to help. The plane was hot and stuffy. My luggage is lost."
Výhody: "Crew was great, food was great, timing was great! (Got to LAX about 45min prior to scheduled arrival), however seats are very narrow!! Good enough for a short (2-5 hour) flight but definitely not for a transatlantic one!"
Nevýhody: "Everything great but the seats..don’t expect too much of a leg room in the 777 Boeing...unless you get the exit row in economy or you book a business class!"
Výhody: "The seat was much better than other airlines' economy seats. Great food and lots of it. Excellent attendants. Zurich is the best planned airport for changing to next flight. I'm going to try to use Swiss as often as I can."

Nevýhody: "We were scheduled for a 55 minute layover in Zurich which was not nearly enough time. Our plane was 10 minutes late in landing but our next flight was delayed 5 minutes. We had to take a bus from the plane to the terminal, go through immigration with very long lines, take a tram to our departure terminal and then run to our gate which was at the end of a very long hallway. Luckily they held the plane but it was very stressful and exhausting getting to our plane."
Výhody: "I got a surprise upgrade to Business Class where the service, food, and comfort were all excellent."
Nevýhody: "Flight was delayed for almost an hour while we were on board. (ultimately not the airline's fault), If I hadn't been in Business class, it would have been very uncomfortable."

Nevýhody: "This is ever the first time we flew with Swiss air and will be the last time. The seats are too tight. If the person in front of you inclined his chair for better comfort, then there is quite challenging for you trying to get out of your seat for washroom etc. The crew services were terrible. Between meals time, there were completely no services such as offering water/drink etc.-did not see a single soul of them, especially on a 9 hours long haul flight! The food was ok. The only thing I like was the chocolate handed out at the end of the journey."

If it’s done for security reason why to tell the people ahead of time that they will have additional checkup of bags and personal stuff. If you want to do it for security reason do it ( I want to be safe) but don’t do it for the check mark , it doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t protect us."

Výhody: "Everything!! This airline is a huge breath of fresh (old?) air. It reminded me of how air travel used to be. No baggage charge - we only checked one bag. There was plenty of great food and drink - alcoholic drinks were free. We will definitely look to use SwissAir whenever possible."

Nevýhody: "SWISS always turns on the air conditioning too high on intercontinental flights. It is HOT inside the cabins. The entertainment system is very outdated, small screen and old and used hand set. Claiming to be a premium airline is unfortunately very overstated if you are unlucky to catch the old business class planes. Only few have changed to the new versions (777s) - Make sure to catch those."

They did provide free drinks and a well used towel. When you ask to be paid for an upgrade you should be clear what that really is."
Nevýhody: "It took a long time to board the plane and there was literally no line at the boarding gate. When I mean there was no line, its not that there were no people, its that we stood grouped together, because there was not enough space for everyone, so no line could form. So people simply cut in front of each other and there was quite a bit of anger and tension.Once we were on board, and seated, they came through and provided a meal. However after about 3 hours, I wanted to get some water to take medicine and I pushed the call light to get the flight attendant to come over and it was literally 45 minutes before anyone came into the economy portion. All of the flight attendants were either in first class, or hiding somewhere else. As one point 5 call lights were on and no one came. My wife got up and started looking for someone and finally I got water to take my pills. Almost an hour after I hit the call button. When the flight attendant came, I asked her if it was possible to purchase a soda, crackers, or anything as my blood sugar was low. She said there is nothing available for purchase, and did not offer anything. The only help I received was from a fellow passenger who offered a candy bar. I can not believe that there was nothing the attendant could offer me. I was willing to pay 10 euros for a soda, and they still said no. That is unacceptable."

Nevýhody: "Boarding at Lisbon airport was one of the worst experiences. Passengers were asked to line up at least 30 minutes before boarding started and it was hot in the terminal. As boarding started, passengers were split into groups by boarding zones...premium passengers boarded first as expected, then people with small bags. This is where the problem was because a group of four passengers who had one small bag (that could fit under seat) were allowed to go before passengers in boarding zones A/B. The whole idea is people who could fit bags under their seat would board first, but the tap team made a mess and allowed many passengers with large bags in as well. I was one of the last ones to be boarded and stranded on the line for over 40 minutes with my backpack...after traveling for a month and being delayed in Rome, last thing you want is stupid mistakes like this to cause you stress."

Nevýhody: "The only thing that I felt was not appropriate was that they made me check in my carry-on at the gate. Apparently, the airline requested 55 passengers to check their carry-on bags...but they just selected the first people who were closest to the gate. I purposely did not check a bag because I had limited time to make a train connection at my final destination, plus I had to go thru customs and I knew that in itself would be time consuming. I explained this to the airline staff, but they did not care. I think they should have first asked for volunteers; and if still needed, then randomly select people to check in the carry-on. Also they only were making people with the “suitcase” carry-on to check them in....anyone with a duffle-looking bag was not even bothered. Luckly, I’m mange to make my train connection, but I was running to do this...not fun at all."

Nevýhody: "Gate checked 90% of the carry on luggage, but not with an official tag, just some guy scribbling on tags before the bus. Boarding was a fiasco: disorderly lines just to pile into a bus and shuttle to plane. Comfort!? Ha. I'm 5'8" short and my knees were digging into the seats in front of me. The new seats are hard as a rock and don't recline. Cramped is an understatement. The tray table is literally the same size as the tray itself. Did TAP build a mock up of this before production?!? You get to hold your drink and put your silverware in your lap while you eat. Food was too hot to open foil, and once opened was mediocre at best. Entertainment?!? Literally nonexistent. Well actually in the fancy seats beyond economy there is a little slot to attach a phone or tablet on the back of the seat. So your entertainment is whatever you brought. I guess the touchscreen/on demand entertainment I remember from the early 2000's is too high tech for TAP."

Would be good that airline as well as internet travel agent would advice about this additional costs in a more transparent way before you purchase the ticket"

Nevýhody: "They gave my 70-year old mother only a few hours notice that they were changing her one-stop four-hour 6AM flight into an 8AM multi stop 14-hour marathon. In fact, she was already asleep when they changed her flight, so she was already at the airport when she found out about the change. To do this to a 70-year old woman is reprehensible. Worse, after 2-hours with customer service, nobody there made any real attempt to remedy the situation or offer any compensation. Worst airline experience EVER."
Nevýhody: "The sizing device is much smaller than it needs to be for carry on roller bags. My bag was forced to be checked by the ground crew on this Tap flight. My bag is a normal sized carry on bag that has always fit on all flights. There was plenty of space on the aircraft for it. The ground crew also let others on with larger bags so they dont even apply their policy in a consistent manner. I will do my best to avoid TAP from now on."

Výhody: "I had a flight from Madrid --> Lisbon airport with a final connection from Lisbon --> NYC JFK and we were delayed in Madrid therefore arriving at boarding time of our other flight in Lisbon. The crew was so professional and prepared that when we landed in Lisbon there was a bus that brought about 25 of us who were connecting with final destination to JFK to the closest door to go through passport control and board onto our flight to JFK that they held for a good 30-45 minutes until all of us made our connection. Very professional and organized. Much appreciated that I didn't miss my final connection! Love flying TAP and will continue to do so!"

Nevýhody: "The flight was booked round trip and the experience coming back was terrible. The same standards were not applied. Serval passengers weren’t allowed to take small carryons that would fit under the seat. I paid for a seat and bag with my flight and was charged again leaving Prague. The online booking kept freezing and wouldn’t allow me to check in for my flight. So frustrating."

Older aircraft (ATR 42/72), with propeller engines (not jet!) -> longer flight by more than one hour Smaller aircraft -> my regular hand luggage was actually stored in the cargo area (that happened to many other passengers), and got it back a little wet from rain. Smaller aircraft -> air turbulence feel stronger than with a larger aircraft Price is determined by supply and demand, but... this flight was the return trip; on the way to Prague 3 days before I traveled with TAROM, food included, larger jet aircraft (hand luggage with me, shorter trip), and cheaper than Czech Airlines."

We felt that we were robbed at the gate and taking advantage of. we were forced to check to carry-on bags and then charge double of what any airline in the United States charges to check a bag. One of the women at he gate who worked for Czech airlines was very rude to us and to other customers. To add insult to injury, when we boarded the plane we were told that we could not get a glass of water unless we paid for it because we were riding in the economy section. We have traveled around the world for the past 45 years and had never encountered an airline that did not even offer its customers complementary glasses of water. I felt that we had been taking advantage of at the gate. I had never been on any airline where they would not give a glass of water that was not paid for. I have never been on an airline with such little class. Some of my family members are planning to visit Prague in the spring. I will tell them and everyone else I know to avoid flying with your airline.We felt that we were robbed at the gate and taking advantage. We are thinking of hosting our daughter's wedding next praying in Prague. We are expecting 80 to 100 guests to come to that wedding. If our daughter decides to have her wedding in Prague, we will be telling all of those potential customers to fly air France or some American airline and to avoid the Czech airline. I found your airline and your service to be worthy of a zero"

Nevýhody: "Seats were on small side, no entertainment, food and drink had to be purchased, checked baggage cost extra."
Nevýhody: "About 15 minutes before boarding, a gate agent came over to us and asked to see our boarding passes. He then told us that we had booked Economy Lite, which apparently meant that we were only allowed a carry on bag and no personal item. He said we would have to pay $35 euro apiece to check our suitcases so we could carry our personal item on. We had booked regular economy class through Kayak, and nothing was said by either Kayak or Czech Airlines about Economy Lite or bag limits. We then went up to the gate to talk with an agent about the lack of notice and to request that they waive the fee. They refused and told us to take it up with Kayak. (I agree that Kayak is responsible for not making us aware of this.) We then asked what it would have cost us to check the bags in advance and they said 25 euro. We asked if they would agree to charge us that instead of 35 euro. They refused to do that, and then the gate agent told us it would be 40 euro, not 35. We told her that the previous agent told us it would be 35 euro. She said, "well he was wrong." No apology for the confusion, and just rude overall. To top it all off, she then charged us 1220 Czech Crowns per bag. We asked her why so much, and she said that was the same as 40 euro. We told her that wasn't correct, and she said it was. We then showed her the exchange calculation on our phone and that she had charged us 200 Crowns too much. She then said, "well it's 45 euros, then." We pointed out that 45 euros wouldn't even be that much. At that point she said "then you can just write Czech Airlines" and walked off. It's easily the worst experience I have ever had with an airline. Completely unprofessional, rude, and downright dishonest. And like I said earlier, Kayak needs to be proactive and let people know these bag rules apply so they can either a) choose a different airline or b) save themselves some money and pay to check their bags in advance."

My feeling : he was trying by any means to make us pay unfairly."
Nevýhody: "Given the price of the ticket, there should have been some basic food and drink options for free - like water. The boarding process was a free-for-all, very unorganized. The cabin crew was very friendly."

I had a carryon that was approved by the woman who checked me in and then when boarding I was told that I would have to check my bag for 45 euros (35 euros was the original cost and an extra 10 euros because I did not check it earlier. So glad I got to pay an extra 10 euros for carrying my luggage through the airport !!!!!!"

We sit there for 45 minutes and then the Captain was given the OK to fly. Mind you, I bought my train tickets with a 3 hour gap so if anything happened I would be okay but no! I missed the train any way because I had to wait for my luggage which the flight attendant said "did not fit on the plane" but the person behind me had the same size duffel bag and was said nothing to! As if that wasn't enough then I have to fly a small aircraft from Prague to Madrid with extreme anxiety and scared because who knows if this plane goes down for whatever problem! If there is a problem with the plane you fix it before you board yor passengers not after you're already on the taxi run way and stop the flight! That is the airlines responsibility and they were completely and utterly careless!"

Nevýhody: "Boarding the bus and having to stand in great heat while inhaling the diesel fumes for 20 minutes. No one said anything to us. We just stood waiting. Additionally people took the seats on the bus to hold thier belongings preventing those of us who needed to sit down standing up."

However, I was told today, no personal item was allowed. Not even a purse. I was then asked to stay outside the gate and try to fit my backpack an its contents into my suitcase. This was not possible, and not only was I charged over $70 to check my carry on bag, the man at the gate so so rude, he didn't seen to even want to take my money. He ignored me while I tried to figure out what I could do. Very disappointing, and what a low way to rip of your customers."

I was abroad so chasing up details I should have been provided with / were never told that I should have, were not on the top of my to do list. I only found out that I had to check in online and that I hadn't been provided with these details when I arrived at the airport. I spent 30 minutes on hold before the problem was rectified and I was given my online check in details but it was now top late to check in online (by 5 minutes ). The flight was delayed due to a number of things - a late arrival, people being let onto the plane slowly, people not sitting down and allowing the plane to taxi and leave. This had a knock on effect of making the plane land late and for me to miss my connection (train) so basically through last minute.com not providing me with the correct details regarding the flight and the flight then being delayed it tripled my whole journey back home."
