I had paid for the suitcases, but because I was traveling alone I went there with my husband and he politely asked if they could please take the carryons on the plane because she can’t carry everything by herself. The manager came out and said that we have to pay. I said I already paid extra for my suitcases please help us because my wife is carrying our son, the diaper bag and 2 carryons. He was rude stating that we have to pay each carryon. We didn’t have the extra money and my wife took everything with her. If that’s how Turkish Airline treats their customers, they shouldn’t be operating. It was the last time I use this airline. No dignity or humanity, it’s all only about the money. And when I took the stroller with my son. They made me package the stroller by myself looking that I had my son on me crying and when I asked for help they said that they can’t help me... unbelievable... they see me with 2 carryons a stroller and a baby and they can’t help me."

Nevýhody: "Every staff person we had contact with made us feel as though we were not a priority in any way. We were constantly given misinformation. Our flight was two hours out when it was returned to our departure city due to a passenger health issue. It was not properly explained to us and we were in no way compensated for the inconvenience. Once back at our departure city (Miami) we sat there for an hour or more. They chose to feed us during that delay. Due to this we missed our connecting flight in Istanbul to Rome. This also caused us to miss our transportation from Rome to Compania, Italy. We were told by airline staff on the plane that we would be put up in a hotel over night. When we arrived at the terminal we had no idea where we should go or who we should see. Every representative we spoke to told us to go somewhere else. Truth is it felt like no one we spoke to knew what to tell us or really cared at all. One representative told us we were not entitled to overnight accommodations. We insisted we were told we were and it literally took hours on the ground to straighten the problem out and get to a hotel. By then it was so late that we only got a couple hours of sleep and had to be back at the airport for our next flight. The second flight from Istanbul to Naples, Italy was better. I do not think I would use this airline again. My entire party got an overall sense that people were untrained and lacking in any form of customer service. Not the flight attendants but all the people we had to deal with on the ground. My age plus health issues and walking problems made everything more difficult. We were sent al over the massive airlines terminal with all our carry on luggage only to find when we got to where we were going we had been sent to the wrong place. On top of all this each of us had to pay a VISA fee to get out of the terminal and to the hotel. Just a total nightmare. Prior to taking this flight I contacted Turkish Airlines and spoke to a customer service person and explained that I needed to take with me a small portable oxygen concentrator that I would need to use while in Italy. I needed to know the procedure for bringing that equipment on the airline. I was told that although he could not answer that question He would pass it on to his supervisors and I would receive an answer via email prior to my flight. I never received a response and as a result did not have my needed oxygen while abroad."
Výhody: "Love flying Turkish, usually they’re very welcoming on the plane and flight attendants are friendly. Seats convert into a lay flat bed which is comfortable. i would say that the appetizers are usually excellent but the main dishes fall a bit behind. Amenity kit is pretty good."

One has to go through many additional checks to board a NY bound flight which is understood but the gates can’t sccomod a full 777 flight. It gets hot really fast, definitely what you don’t need before a long flight. Group boarding is enforced but people will still try to wiggle into the priority boarding line. On another note I have had a similar flight on the A330 and the boarding process was smooth (organized)."

Perhaps due to this being a 13 hour flight, this is not a normal situation for them, but to go three hours at a time without taking a stroll through the cabin seems unprofessional. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."

Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."

I spent another 25 minutes running around the airport trying to find someone to assist including a ticket agent to adjust my flight. Only to be told I couldn't get a flight out until the next day and I had to pay more for my original ticket for it. I contacted customer service and their response was a simple copy and paste of the rules which I was well aware of (apparently I should have really been there 90 mins before and not 60 according to the site). I only booked with the airline because it offered an 8 hour layover in Athens...a chance to see a bonus city. There are plenty of other airlines with more flexible and consistent policies. I have traveled the world on many airlines and have never had an early check in counter close or to have to chase down a representative to get service."

The entire plane from front to back had a terrible smell, as if the sewage pipe had burst and liquid/waste flowed everywhere. The smell may or may not have anything to do with the maintenance crew on board and delayed our boarding. No explanation of the smell. Good thing it was a short flight from Athens to Naples"

For almost 48 hours, I have been very worried that I will need to go through an expensive law suite. The whole issue was cause because of overbooking. I was asked to be on a waiting list with my luggage. When I was boarding I specifically asked the local crew whether my luggage is on board as well and I was answered definitely "YES"."

On my way to Athens, I'd been seated in row 22 and there was no chance to move my legs at all."

The layover in Frankfurt is not enough time to make it to the connection. Frankfurt security is understaffed and despite Lufthansa being aware of this, they offer the connecting flight, which is impossible to make. Lufthansa did not pay for hotel or food despite booking me with an unreasonable amount of time between a flight that wasn’t even delayed.
It was only an hour flight, but at that, it was still late
Everything was great I have no issues they are wonderful , so helpful especially with my spical need son . Love the courtesy of the staff. But the food and entertainment need some improv.
Second meal was a terrible veggie sandwich. They should have had at least a second option to pick from.

Nevýhody: "Checking in was bad. We had difficulty with the agent, who said that we needed to wrap our plastic tubs. We have flown other airlines using these same tubs for 15 years. After our minor altercation, the food on the two legs from Dammam and then on to Atlanta was very bad. I am not very picky with food and like just about anything. However, I was unable to eat the food served in 2 out of 3 meals. My time on Frankfurt was also not very pleasant. I will most likely try to avoid Lufthansa in the future."

They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

Nevýhody: "The boarding process was confusing. Lack of clear signs and announcements didn't help to form lines. People just went to the gates after families, handicapped, vets, etc..passed the gates, business and first. Improving that process by forming ordered lines would help. Entertainment presented movies that are old and have been dysplayed on flights for years. Entertainment in general is poor. Seating not as expected! I chose my seat online and once on the plane I found out the organization of the seats was different than the one displlayed online. I chose an aisle sea on a 3 seat row and I ended up on a 4 seat row and squeezed in between two other passengers. The seats are "growing" smaller and smaller, and the shape and mobility of the chairs makes them uncomfortable. On my row there were 3 screens installed on the ahead seats, and my screen was by 3/4 in front of the passenger on my right. That made difficult controlling the screen function with me stretching my harm over the other passenger's face. I payed $2,000 for that flight in economy. $2,000 for an economy class is not cheap! And you don't offer a great experience. Either lower the price or improve the overall experience."

I was sitting in row 57 and due to the narrowing of the fuselage toward the back, the seats are narrower, some without arm rests and people going to the back of the aircraft keep bumping into seated passengers. Leg room as incredibly limited. This is not acceptable for a major airline. The terminal at Newark is rather old and not the cleanest. Due to the lack of clear communication, most passenger were confused at to the order of boarding."

They offered no recourse other than refunding my ticket, even though they offer the same flight every day at the same time. I was left with no tickets two weeks before my departure time and had to drastically alter my vacation so as to not pay an extremely exorbitant price for a flight, which was still hundreds of dollars more than the price I paid in January."
