Flight and crew were great. Food was good and great recline for coach. Disappointed I had paid extra for window seat and seat next to it in center and found upon boarding that my seats were moved to center only seats with no window. If we hadn’t paid extra, it wouldn’t be an issue. Was told because of change in aircraft yet it was the same aircraft as when it was originally booked months ago. Crew tried to accommodate but unfortunately on full flight it was not possible.

Flight from Zurich to Florence was fine

Simply put, short of upgrading seat class, I couldn't have asked for a more friendly, accommodating, comfortable experience flying.

Swiss Air, which forced me to check my bag in Newark, still has not located it. I am back in NY now. Overall a terrible travel experience, my worst ever.

It was excellent. Great airline. Very attentive staff. Seats are a little tight, but it is the world we live in now. Unless you get lucky and get the bulk head seats or are wealthy enough for first class it is cramped. Overall an excellent experience.

When leaving Florence we arrived at the airport 2 1/2 hours before our flight. There were 100's of people waiting to check in for several different international flights and only 2 people working at the check in counter issuing tickets and checking bags. Many people were missing their flights and trying to figure out how to get home. We waited over 3 hours on the lines along with most of the other people on our flight. There were several altercations between travelers and ticketing agents. I am not sure if they held the flight or if we put on a later flight running through the airport to board. There were no other people in the airport at security or shops or anywhere just the crazy international flights area. When we arrived in Switzerland for our connection we were very late and again running through the airport to barely make our connection. When we did arrive in Newark our luggage did not. Also I had ordered a gluten free meal when I booked the flight and they did not have my request so I was unable to eat on the plane. If you are asking about allergy meals they should be available or I would have brought my own food on the plane. On a positive note, the blankets and pillow were a nice comfort for the long flight. They also checked our carryon for free so on our sprint through the airports we weren't dragging bags with us too.

Baggage charge is nothing short of obscene, especially w/ lack of service provided

It wasn’t communicated that on the layover, we needed to again have our documents checked so after waiting in long line to board, we were sent back to another documents check line and then back to the long boarding line. It wasn’t a big deal but something to mention. Once on board the crew was phenomenal. Very friendly and constantly working and serving. I don’t think they got a moments rest during the 10+ hour flight. Best service on a flight in years….hands down above & beyond Delta airlines where I have my miles awards membership. Very pleased with Swiss Air.

Overall it was all good and Swiss Air is a great company —however check in time in MIami was 1 hour and 45 minutes. This was very frustrating

Check-in line was slow. Would have been helpful to have more agents. Everyone was very kind and helpful and the flight was short and easy.

Entertaining options could be expanded but I wouldn’t trade for anything else. Excellent experience all around.

First time traveling with Swiss abroad…. They set the standard so high, I will certainly book them again next time! A+ hospitality across the board…. So impressed with their professionalism and customer service. Highly, highly recommend! Jill Bolger

They also cannot change my flight, or my seat, in the event that I am seated next to the person with the issue. They did give me a bag in which to place my carry on before storing it overhead. But once on the plane, I realized that my checked bag would be thrown in with everyone else's. In addition, I had forgotten to preorder gluten free food. The airline had nothing gluten free to offer me on a prolonged international flight and did not even offer to produce any gluten free snack (peanuts? cheese?) to tide me over. My luggage is still sitting in my car awaiting a process. However, in the unfortunate event that it has come into contact with bedbugs it may be too late :("

The jerky take off and bouncy initial flight was capped off with an approach to the runway for landing that was very scary, much too fast and wobbly. Thankfully the plane was pulled back up into the air, just before touch down, circled for ten minutes, and retried the landing. This time perfectly smooth and successful."

Everything was great thanks

The 50 or more Hasidics refused to wear masks, despite the crew’s entreaties. The airline did not have an enforcement officer aboard, and there were no consequences awaiting them at JFK. Laws apply equally to all, and the Hasidism have no right to endanger passengers and crew.

There was no food. I’m not sure if that is due to Covid restrictions or just cutting corners, but I was disappointed.

Austrian airlines food is really good compared to more recent airlines I’ve been on

It was late for no apparent reason causing me to miss my connection and a day of work.

I was traveling with a young child and the flight attendants were rude and unhelpful when simple requests were made like an early cracker or cookie to help distract him while everyone else was boarding. Also, my wife received dirty looks from an attendant when she asked if she could get by while holding our crying infant. They made us feel like a burden instead of a paying customer. The food was really sub par, especially the breakfast sandwich; cold, soggy veggie sandwich with no flavor (zero seasoning or vinegar or oil) and as mentioned the bread was cold and soggy wet. Also, there seemed to be something wrong with one of the bathroom’s ventilation, the smell was terrible throughout the entire flight. In the past Lufthansa had a good reputation for customer service, they are actively destroying it with how they currently treat passengers. If our return flight is as bad we will never fly Lufthansa again.

It was only an hour flight, but at that, it was still late

Carry-on luggage restrictions extremely stringent- did not allow carry-on sized suitcases we have brought on other flights, boarding is slow and disorganized delaying take-off and making difficult to get to connecting flight

They don’t offer much to eat for a 6:40 am flight. It was a drink and a cookie. They could’ve offered more to eat. I am comparing this to KLM who we flew into Florence with.

They cancelled my flight day before without any support to rebook.

The plane had a landing gear failure. It got rerouted to Pisa. Then lufthansa drove us 3 hours to Verona in the middle of the night with a crazy fast taxi driver. Now we are stuck in Verona for 2 days and they stripped me of my business class flight. What a terrible airline!

The crew was oustanding, very personal service.

This airline is so disorganized. Flight was delayed. Customer service nonexistence, and online check in dysfunctional.

The last time I flew to Italy it was on Delta. They were wonderful. Food was good and abundant, and the staff was friendly. The passengers were also friendly. Lufthansa was just the opposite. I won't be flying with that airline again. Sorry.

Nevýhody: "Lufthansa flight from Florence to Frankfurt was 45 mins late, so a large group of passengers had 30 mins to transfer from plane to bus to terminal to security to gate on other side of airport. They offered no assistance other than to say run, which we did the whole way. When we reached the gate less than 5 minutes after scheduled takeoff they said flight was closed and next flight was 18 hours later. Not one passenger successfully made the transfer. It took over 2 hours to get hotel and food vouchers, and we were forced to stay in airport Holiday Inn with now sweaty clothes and no luggage. Everyone was furious, and the entire incident could have been easily avoided in many ways, including by delaying the flight 5 mins or by providing passenger transportation at any point in the 30 minute transfer from the Lufthansa A arrival gate and the Lufthansa Z departure gate."
Výhody: "Flight crew made up time to arrive on time despite late arrival. They are pretty amazing - they got a plane hundreds of miles in the same time it took the ground crew to get my bag from the plane to the baggage claim."
Nevýhody: "Frankfurt is just an awful airport. Too many landings and not enough infrastructure. Also tired of planes having to park thousands of yards from the terminal. The time to get the bag is as long as the flight. Each about 55 minutes. There is very little about German efficiency here."
Výhody: "Once again the crew was great and helped me find a place to stow my carry on since I was in the emergency row. The snack was also very tasty."
Nevýhody: "We were advised upon check in online that we could check in but if we needed additional carry on items (1 was free) we had to pay a secondary fee. When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

I impressed with the level of commitment to take passenger out the airport on time. It has definitely one of the smoothest and nice plane I have ever been so far."

Got in late on the connecting flight and literally had to run through the terminal to get to the gate, Then after all of the stress we got on the plane from another bus. That's the bad thing about connecting through German hubs on Liftansa: they make very tight connections and you don't know if they will wait at the second flight to not. I have missed by minutes in the past in similar situations. And no other flight to Dublin from Munich until hours later"
Nevýhody: "See above...on a Nother note, how would any of these passengers be expected to exit a plane in emergency when there is absolutely no room in the plane? This is an accident waiting to happen, assuming the plane to survive the crash"

Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

Výhody: "The very dirty plane was cleaned at Dar-es-salaam and became less dirty. The pilot kept us updated periodically through the flight. The flight attendants were very pleasant."
Nevýhody: "The plane was very dirty when we landed in Dar-es-salaam. The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food."

Air France lost my luggage again Its the second time in a week

Flight to Florence delayed. All passengers took a bus to Pisa (1.5 hours away) to fly Pisa to Paris. We missed our connection and flew next day. All information regarding the delay online was incorrect ("system not yet updated") . So calling Air France was useless as they could not assist. Not all flight delays can be avoided but many improvements are needed throughout this process.

Not the best crew. Extremely annoying with mask wearing. Even when I was eating and drinking they would come up to you to tell you to wear your mask. Extremely annoying.

Výhody: "The seats were bigger across the shoulder area and had more padding than some other budget airlines."

Nevýhody: "Cabin temperature was very cool for me. Never used a blanket on an international flight before, and used a blanke on this whole 9 hour flight. Maybe a function of the seat location? Not sure but I was cold."

Nevýhody: "Plane was canceled at the last minute with a transfer desk literally assaulted by 100s of people. Only 3 persons on the desk. No lane for sky priority. Queued for nearly two hours before some airport employee gave us instructions to travel by train without any other information or tickets etc. Had to buy my ticket. Couldn’t recuperate my suitcase. Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."
