It was excellent. Great airline. Very attentive staff. Seats are a little tight, but it is the world we live in now. Unless you get lucky and get the bulk head seats or are wealthy enough for first class it is cramped. Overall an excellent experience.

When leaving Florence we arrived at the airport 2 1/2 hours before our flight. There were 100's of people waiting to check in for several different international flights and only 2 people working at the check in counter issuing tickets and checking bags. Many people were missing their flights and trying to figure out how to get home. We waited over 3 hours on the lines along with most of the other people on our flight. There were several altercations between travelers and ticketing agents. I am not sure if they held the flight or if we put on a later flight running through the airport to board. There were no other people in the airport at security or shops or anywhere just the crazy international flights area. When we arrived in Switzerland for our connection we were very late and again running through the airport to barely make our connection. When we did arrive in Newark our luggage did not. Also I had ordered a gluten free meal when I booked the flight and they did not have my request so I was unable to eat on the plane. If you are asking about allergy meals they should be available or I would have brought my own food on the plane. On a positive note, the blankets and pillow were a nice comfort for the long flight. They also checked our carryon for free so on our sprint through the airports we weren't dragging bags with us too.

Baggage charge is nothing short of obscene, especially w/ lack of service provided

It wasn’t communicated that on the layover, we needed to again have our documents checked so after waiting in long line to board, we were sent back to another documents check line and then back to the long boarding line. It wasn’t a big deal but something to mention. Once on board the crew was phenomenal. Very friendly and constantly working and serving. I don’t think they got a moments rest during the 10+ hour flight. Best service on a flight in years….hands down above & beyond Delta airlines where I have my miles awards membership. Very pleased with Swiss Air.

Overall it was all good and Swiss Air is a great company —however check in time in MIami was 1 hour and 45 minutes. This was very frustrating

Check-in line was slow. Would have been helpful to have more agents. Everyone was very kind and helpful and the flight was short and easy.

Entertaining options could be expanded but I wouldn’t trade for anything else. Excellent experience all around.

First time traveling with Swiss abroad…. They set the standard so high, I will certainly book them again next time! A+ hospitality across the board…. So impressed with their professionalism and customer service. Highly, highly recommend! Jill Bolger

Nevýhody: "While waiting for boarding I overheard a young woman, who was traveling with several companions, screaming to her mother on the phone that she and her friends had all gotten bedbugs and were in agony! She was making plans to leave all of her bags in the driveway when she got home. I discretely let boarding staff know and was told there is nothing they can do about it. They also cannot change my flight, or my seat, in the event that I am seated next to the person with the issue. They did give me a bag in which to place my carry on before storing it overhead. But once on the plane, I realized that my checked bag would be thrown in with everyone else's. In addition, I had forgotten to preorder gluten free food. The airline had nothing gluten free to offer me on a prolonged international flight and did not even offer to produce any gluten free snack (peanuts? cheese?) to tide me over. My luggage is still sitting in my car awaiting a process. However, in the unfortunate event that it has come into contact with bedbugs it may be too late :("

Nevýhody: "Having to pay for a second checked bag. And the refreshment (I think it was supposed to be ice cream) was awful. Also, I think it was the young pilots virgin flight. The jerky take off and bouncy initial flight was capped off with an approach to the runway for landing that was very scary, much too fast and wobbly. Thankfully the plane was pulled back up into the air, just before touch down, circled for ten minutes, and retried the landing. This time perfectly smooth and successful."

This airline is so disorganized. Flight was delayed. Customer service nonexistence, and online check in dysfunctional.

The last time I flew to Italy it was on Delta. They were wonderful. Food was good and abundant, and the staff was friendly. The passengers were also friendly. Lufthansa was just the opposite. I won't be flying with that airline again. Sorry.

Nevýhody: "We had to take a bus to get to the airplane from the terminal, which was no big deal. The bus driver was a little rough though."
Nevýhody: "Lufthansa flight from Florence to Frankfurt was 45 mins late, so a large group of passengers had 30 mins to transfer from plane to bus to terminal to security to gate on other side of airport. They offered no assistance other than to say run, which we did the whole way. When we reached the gate less than 5 minutes after scheduled takeoff they said flight was closed and next flight was 18 hours later. Not one passenger successfully made the transfer. It took over 2 hours to get hotel and food vouchers, and we were forced to stay in airport Holiday Inn with now sweaty clothes and no luggage. Everyone was furious, and the entire incident could have been easily avoided in many ways, including by delaying the flight 5 mins or by providing passenger transportation at any point in the 30 minute transfer from the Lufthansa A arrival gate and the Lufthansa Z departure gate."
Výhody: "Once again the crew was great and helped me find a place to stow my carry on since I was in the emergency row. The snack was also very tasty."
Výhody: "The engagement of the crew. The coffee and cake. The attendant offered to help me with my bag to the door of the aircraft. The same attendant remembered to give me coffee later and provided the stir stick just as I was able ask for one. I felt cared for."
Nevýhody: "They ran out of the protein meal selections.e.g. Chicken I think. Pasta with sauce and one small cube of cheese with a little salad does not qualify as a balanced mealThe attendant tried to make up for it by giving me more cheese blocks."
Nevýhody: "We were advised upon check in online that we could check in but if we needed additional carry on items (1 was free) we had to pay a secondary fee. When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

Výhody: "I enjoyed how smooth the whole flying went in the Lufthansa plane, also how quite was inside the plane compare to other airlines airplanes. I love the leg room in the plane. I impressed with the level of commitment to take passenger out the airport on time. It has definitely one of the smoothest and nice plane I have ever been so far."
Nevýhody: "The pilot when landing landed too fast and the plane lost its balance for a second but other than that everything was great."

Both times, LH925 on 1st May from Heathrow to Frankfurt was delayed by 20 Mins. and TReturn on 9th May, LH327 from Venice to Frankfurt was delayed by 20 Mins. Late arrivals caused extra stress on Connections and We had to run across the airport to catch the connecting flight. Flight getting delayed both ways makes me rethink about LH Flights. I will be careful and wont like to travel on LH ."

I get it they want to make sure everyone gets on but I honestly could have walked to the plane twice in the amount of time the bus waited there. I know Florence is a small airport so maybe it has to be done this way but it sucked."

Výhody: "Flight was comfortable and efficient, as expected. The connection was thankfully in the same terminal as the incoming flight. Luckily the passport control area was pretty quiet or we never would have made it in time. I had a backpack only so could go fast."
Nevýhody: "Got late into Munich and ended up with a tarmac spot instead of a gate. Got in late on the connecting flight and literally had to run through the terminal to get to the gate, Then after all of the stress we got on the plane from another bus. That's the bad thing about connecting through German hubs on Liftansa: they make very tight connections and you don't know if they will wait at the second flight to not. I have missed by minutes in the past in similar situations. And no other flight to Dublin from Munich until hours later"
Nevýhody: "See above...on a Nother note, how would any of these passengers be expected to exit a plane in emergency when there is absolutely no room in the plane? This is an accident waiting to happen, assuming the plane to survive the crash"

The 50 or more Hasidics refused to wear masks, despite the crew’s entreaties. The airline did not have an enforcement officer aboard, and there were no consequences awaiting them at JFK. Laws apply equally to all, and the Hasidism have no right to endanger passengers and crew.

Austrian airlines food is really good compared to more recent airlines I’ve been on

Výhody: "I do like the clean aircraft, and pretty precise service. Also it was on time , for comfort the pillow and the blanket was nice . Some airlines doesn’t give anything anymore! Which is awful."
Nevýhody: "Just a small thing the lady who was serving and picking up the used cups said I have to finish the juice and after she can take it away. But I couldn’t finish because it was too sweet and I didn’t like the juice. So I had to get up and bring the cup to the back. That wasn’t nice. Also they at but flexible about giving choices. Only one kind of sandwich they had but I think there was one other kid also."

Nevýhody: "I felt like the airlines deliberately cheated me. I purchased a flight that was listed as "economy" , which means I am authorized one suitcase. When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."

Nevýhody: "more than one hour delay, crew didn't arrange anything for passengers who had to catch a connecting flight in a short time. And according to other passengers, Austrian's flights are always late for at least 30-45 minutes since recent years."

It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

Check-in was TERRIBLE !!! The AF staff was mostly clueless and not helpful, and the procedures in place were outdated.

Flight to Florence delayed. All passengers took a bus to Pisa (1.5 hours away) to fly Pisa to Paris. We missed our connection and flew next day. All information regarding the delay online was incorrect ("system not yet updated") . So calling Air France was useless as they could not assist. Not all flight delays can be avoided but many improvements are needed throughout this process.
