I was telling a friend today, Swiss Air started with drinks, gave us a Parisian baguette sandwich, gave us a healthy breakfast of yoghurt warm croissant butter jam orange juice, drinks again, and several passengers surrounding me got special attention, one woman with a baby, a disabled person, and a teenager that was 6'5" was relaocated by the flight attendant without him even asking to a bulkhead seat for more comfort. You don't see this kind a attention to detail on any US flights or US airlines, so I noticed it. It was as if I was traveling back in the 70's or 80's when Airlines would compete for our dollars with their service. I mentioned to my friend that if I had a choice and Swiss Air was one of the choices, I'd choose Swiss Air over any other airline."

My knees were already tightly pressed to the seat in front of me when I sat down, and as soon as the man in front of me put his chair back, it folded my legs down and to the side in an exceptionally painful way. I got to sit like that for hours. The man next to me was also tall, so he got to experience the same kind of pain when the woman in front of him put her chair back. I am going to skip that leg on the way back and just fly out of Lima."

Boarding was a fiasco: disorderly lines just to pile into a bus and shuttle to plane. Comfort!? Ha. I'm 5'8" short and my knees were digging into the seats in front of me. The new seats are hard as a rock and don't recline. Cramped is an understatement. The tray table is literally the same size as the tray itself. Did TAP build a mock up of this before production?!? You get to hold your drink and put your silverware in your lap while you eat. Food was too hot to open foil, and once opened was mediocre at best. Entertainment?!? Literally nonexistent. Well actually in the fancy seats beyond economy there is a little slot to attach a phone or tablet on the back of the seat. So your entertainment is whatever you brought. I guess the touchscreen/on demand entertainment I remember from the early 2000's is too high tech for TAP."

We were never told the plane was delayed or how long we should expect to wait. We just stood at the gate waiting to board and time ticked further and further past the boarding time listed on our tickets."

Again in Lisbon we could not get the D tax because that custom agent wanted to see the merchandise which was being transferred to our Lisbon - Newark flight. We loss refunds of over $400. This problem ruined a perfect trip."

Výhody: "TAP counter staff helped get seat assignments for knee injury. New aircraft with good video system and comfortable seats in Economy Plus. Crew was helpful. Food OK. Arrived on time."
Nevýhody: "Not TAP's fault, but long lines at customs and security at Lisbon Airport made us run to arrive at gate for next flight. Again, not TAP's fault, but additional security check at the waiting area, opening carry-on baggage and emptying my purse seemed over the top."

Nevýhody: "The crew was rude, after 5 hours they seemed annoyed when I asked for water and gave me half a cup after I had just finished vomitting due to all the swaying of the aircraft. While we were landing, we came over the runway maybe 100 feet off the ground then jetted back up and circled around the airport for 20 minutes before landing horribly...with NO explaination. Everyone started vomitting because the landing (both times) were so horrible. Our first flight was late, we landed when the second was 'closing the doors', they never updated the monitors or informed the crew that the second plane was also delayed (by over an hour), so we rushed through customs and ran through the airport only to discover they hadn't even started boarding yet, even though the screen said it had departed. Completely disorganized."
