No smile, no addressing passenger by name, all the service was done in a rush and a totally weird manner. The food is not very much to my liking since it heavily consisted of cheese, and there is literally no choice for you to get away with that. Having a traditional Turkish menu is great at one hand, but in this case it was a huge no-no."

Also in Boston the called all the family with children from business AND from economy to board first the we the Business we started to boarded after which was one hour after boarding time. I was told I couldn't get the aisle seat assignment that I had selected online when attempting to do the online check in. The crew also stated I couldn't switch to an aisle seat because " we are completely booked" although all 3 rows in front of me had empty aisle seats all the way from Cairo to Frankfurt so I was stuck in a middle seat which the person in front completely reclining their seat for 4 hrs. At 5'10" it was not only uncomfortable but a painful flight. Things improved somewhat from Frankfurt to Miami but was still pretty tight due to the reclining seats. Luckily I got an aisle seat on that leg and the middle seat next to me was open. There was no entertainment on the Cairo to Frankfurt leg."

If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

She knew I had 1.5 hrs between flights, and the risk of losing my flight was pretty high. He agent could only said “sorry” and she would not offer me a solution. The agent next to her could care less about my situation. I asked her who should I contact if lose my flight (i.e. Aeroflot, Czech Airlines, etc) she kept saying “I don’t know, I’m sorry). I asked for my carry-on, but she would not return it. I called Aeroflot customer service, but they were not helpful and a bit rude. To make things worst, the agent placed me in the very last seat in the airplane, so I had to wait a good 20min to de board- time that I didn’t have. I paid so much for his flight and this was not the service that I expected. The only reason I made it to my second flight (Prague-Bilbao) was because the flight was delayed."

Both of my flights were delayed which made me miss my connections delaying my trip by 1 day and missing my other connections which made me incur a loss of more than $200. The remuneration I was given for meals was enough for just 2 chocolates a meal."

Nevýhody: "It seems like Ukraine International Airlines runs a shake-down operation on carry-on baggage fees. The first time I traveled on the airline to Kiev, they let me bring on my carry-on bag and didn't weight it or seem to care. When I booked them to leave Kiev for Dusseldorf, however, things were a bit different. I brought my usual carry-on (weighing around 13kg) through the various security checks, and sat with it at the gate. At the last possible moment when we're about to board the bus for the plane, they motion me to come to the desk and say, "You can't take that bag. It's over 7kg." 7kg! This unusually low carry-on limit is not specified on the ticket when I purchased it, on the boarding pass, or on any other easily visible document. Only when you click on the "baggage limits" link on the boarding pass and reading it carefully do you figure out that your carry-on has to be super light. At the gate, they pulled out a hand-held hook scale, weighed my bag, and declared it overweight without even telling me how much it weighed, then demanded that I cough up 66 euro (USD$77) or miss my flight. There were several elderly people on the flight who did not have cash or credit card and were distraught and publicly wailing because this was the first they had heard about needing to purchase luggage fees. It is possible that in their documentation UIA do mention the limits and fees, so what they do may be indeed legal. However, there are deceptive practices happening here, as this has never happened to me in decades of travel. I have never seen this many distressed elderly passengers. What UIA did was pure and simple theft. Word to the wise: if you buy from Kayak or any other third-party operator, go into the site of the vendor of origin (in this case UIA), figure out their baggage rules and pay for extra baggage 24hrs before the flight. Either that, or fly a more user-friendly airline."

I have use your Airlines more than 10 times. I fly internationally frequently and I also use several other International Airlines. Compared to the Airlines I would rank Ukraine Airlines at the bottom. 1) I have never been on one Ukraine airlines that has the ability for a passenger to charge a cellphone or any other electronic device in the seating area oh the plane. Ukraine Airlines might be the only International Airline that does not have this. How can you not have this option for passengers in 2018 when you know people are using laptops and cell phones more than ever? This is unacceptable. 2) there are no television options on the headrest for passengers. Again, I do not know of any other International Airline that is not allow each passenger the ability to watch movies in front of their seats. The movie option for Ukraine Airlines is extremely outdated. 3) when taking the international flight from New York to Kiev, the food option is not good. It is only one Hot meal served. To give passengers a cold sandwich as a first option on an 8hr international flight is acceptable. It appears to me that Ukraine Airlines is 10 or 15 years outdated. I travel to Ukraine often and I do as much as I can to avoid your airline. Also whenever I'm talking to passengers in other airports and even passengers boarding Airlines we all talk the same about your airline. Most people are disappointed with your Airlines but have to use it because scheduling etc."

It eventually did, and the pilot told us what the delay was (air traffic control and weather at the arrival destination), but no one in the terminal let us know that."

Boarding time my wife got a seat, then someone comes with the same number, then a third person came with the same number. The plane left 45 mn late. Food and beverages are on sale, which I found scandalous. As everyone wants to pay his lunch - Its diner hour - the crew takes ages to go to the end of the plane. I think the service lasted an hour. They were progressively blocking the access to toilets that were at the end of the plane. Also we realized that our return flight leaves at 5 am from Paris, how on earth would we want to come back at 5am ??? We would never ordered that, that means waking up at 2am... So this + our luggages that weren't taken in charge at the airport = there s a problem for reservations whether on kayak or Ukraine airlines. And It's possible that I made a mistake but honestly we fly 5 to 10 times a year since years, and never would I book a flight that is leaving Paris at 5 am. But c'est la vie.... I would appreciate if you could call us to help us fix this return flight. Thank you anyway. Merry Christmas to whoever read this :)"

Comments about the plane experience is written on what is called the "list" I filled one out. 3.) a charge for baggage under the plane, which was not well explained on the web site, where electronic ticket was bought. I had to go to another office place to pay extra for one bag to go under the plane. Apparently, other people have the same problem. 4.) the check in person was very restrictive of the weight of my carry on, like 7 kilos. I had to take things out of carry on and put into the bag that I had to pay for to put under the plane. It should be inclusive, or price shown with or without under the plane bag. The bag empty weighs almost 5 kilos, should be at least 10 kilos. 5.) much improvement is suggested, but not enough other choices."

The first thing he did was to say that I had 2 kilos overweight on my cabin bag, even before checking if I was booked on the 20.00 flight to Prague yet. And this is the exactly same cabin bag which I was carrying on the way from Prague to Kiev, its a camera bag with a tripad on the side (which at the check in in Prague the woman said was ok) . So I had to ask him if I was booked on the flight or not, since I didnt see the flight on the "departures" screen which made me a bit worried. Then he first said that I was not booked on the flight, but changed his mind immediately. But I did not receive any information from him that the flight was delayed with 50 minutes, I found out that after doing the security check. Not the smoothest service, but I think the guy was totally new so he was maybe a bit nervous. Thanks / M"
