I think it would be great if Istanbul airways cooperated with the Yotel so transit passengers could stay in the airport. They helped me to get a visa and they say it will be reimbursed, but all of those things took time when I was so exhausted after a long flight. Overall, it was wonderful to have that opportunity to rest and shower on a long wait, but it would be even better if it was closer and it was clear ahead of time that a visa would be needed."

When I arrived in Zurich, sure enough my bags arrived too! Was very pleasantly surprised!"
Nevýhody: "Though no fault of Turkish Airlines, having to go through security after just getting off one flight was stressful even if it might have been necessary. Almost missed my flight. The security area is not properly designed for accomodating many people at one time and the officials (actually two cleaning personnel) who did not speak anything but Turkish were manning the entrance. Even when I showed them my boarding pass they just rudely shooed me away!"

The only currency exchange is on the other side of passport control so you have to use one of the ATMs and they only give you $100. The staff is unprofessional and seems clueless when you ask them for help. The kiosks are a nightmare and working with them is worse than working with the people. They freeze, and glitch and many of them just flat out don't work. Probably one of the worst airports I've ever been to."

Got off the plane from the flight from Barcelona to Istanbul, to connect to New York and first thing this woman insists that me and my friend should go to exit and baggage claim instead of international transfers. My friend had to get a visa at check out and all the trouble of trying to get back into the gate simply because of a STUPID AIRPORT STAFF who doesn't know what they are doing. I have had trouble before with airport staff who doesn't know what they are doing or give wrong directions. That is why will avoid flying with them to Europe."

When I called and asked if they would rebook me the lady on the phone said that she could rebook for a trip that had two layovers from 2pm(Prague time) to 8:30pm(NYC time) for the 24th of November (thanksgiving). When I asked her if there was anything else she said that was the soonest flight she could find. When I checked my self I found and booked a flight for the 23rd. When I called back they refused to give me a refund."

Nevýhody: "A porter checked our bags at the gate without asking us whether we were traveling beyond London, so the bags were never transferred to the transatlantic flight nor did they arrive in SF. It wasn't necessary to check them because there was plenty of room in the overhead bins when we got on the flight. We immediately asked a flight attendant to help when I realized they might not go through and he said he spoke to someone who caught and tagged the bags to go through, but it still didn't happen. It would have been easier if he had just brought them to us on the plane. Another women's bag was taken with all her baby supplies and bottles in it for a 16-hour travel day. Very frustrating for all of us."

This was the first leg of an expensive international flight and given the price of the 2 legs I should have been upgraded to a more comfortable seat. My flight to Europe on Iberia was excellent. If you do, there's no point of doing that, because there's one line for both check-in and luggage drop off. 2. If you arrive to the airport 1h45min before the flight (LOCAL flight!!!), you'll be among the last ones to check-in, because you will spend about an hour in the line (there's just two people at the register: one for economy and one for business). In the end everyone in the line will get checked in (thanks for that), but the flight will be delayed and Iberia will blame the security (which takes 5 min to pass, unlike the check-in process."

Nevýhody: "The arrangement of the airport was disconcerting. To get to your gate you have to pass a another security point that you can not leave. The area was akin to a cattle yard. No bathroom, water, or amenities. You had to stay in your pen until boarding. Duty free was not allowed and had to be purchased on the plane for an additional cost. Not to mention the whole stopping in Dublin, Ireland for fuel without notice. There was nothing in my paperwork about it and we were only told to stay in our seats for the next hour or so while they refueled. We didn’t do that on the flight over was that was worrying and we were given no additional information."

Overall cabin experience can be improved in terms of hygiene and food quality ( food was mediocre or slightly worse). Seat ahead reclines almost too much into personal space in the new 787 aircraft. The LCD displays don't pivot so it's virtually impossible to view the entertainment when the occupant of the seat in front fully reclines ( a somewhat irritating issue on a long flight )"
