When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

I'm not sure why they wouldn't want the extra money from me?"

Also staff were rude and unhelpful telling us to remove all things from the floor for take off and landing ( which i accept is the policy) but since we had nowhere to put them except on our laps (she’s, books, sweaters pocket book) as there is no seat in front for an exit row to put under. The staff member kept saying “up, up” motioning with her hand, but made no offer to assist us in finding overhead space. Upon our return flight, our pre booked exit row seats were switched on us right before boarding in a rude and matter of fact wayand my husband and I were separated one on either side of the aircraft. When we queried this, we were told it would be up to us to switch with the person sitting next to us. Overall very disappointing. I would not fly Iberia again."

I have never seen such close seats in 45 years of flying including bargain airlines let alone more pricey higher quality airlines like British. Iberia was supposed to be an extension of British. When I arrived at MAD I went to the Iberia desk and tried to make an upgrade to their "business" class which was not up to the level of British's Premium Economy. At the Iberia desk at MAD, or online, or on the phone to upgrade the short leg of my return trip without raising cost of my whole round trip from USD $1250 to over USD $4000! years.This was RETURN part of my journey! Also was not able to choose seats ahead of time at MAD when I landed, online, or on the phone. British also said that I could not upgrade just the first (MAD to LGW) leg of my return journey. I would have to upgrade the LGW to TPA also. It is critical to me that I can physically fit into the space between my seat and the one in front. Emergency evacuation would be very difficult for all pax with the short seat pitch. My having to sit sideways with my legs in the aisle would make it more difficult for other pax to to evacuate in an emergency. Since I need a wheel chair I can no longer request the exit row as I have done for 45 years. British should be aware that bad experiences with partner airlines tarnishes their reputation. As a premier airline British should pressure partner airlines to maintain seat pitch at no less than 32 inches which is still tight for many people. Since not all partners have equivalent classes of fares, British should allow mixed classes. For example on a TPA to MAD round trip journey, it should be possible for the transatlantic legs to be at Premium Economy prices, and the short legs LHR or LGW to MAD at business class prices. Nevýhody: "I am filing a complaint for my recent flight from Madrid to Chicago, IL on 2/26/17. During my flight, a five year old sat in front of me who was disruptive throughout the whole 9 hour flight. He was yelling and slamming on his tray table nonstop. This made it hard to sleep or relax on the flight. He was disruptive to everyone in the whole cabin. I tried to be patient, as it was a child, but when the child started climbing the seats of the row and kicking his legs in the aisle, I had to act. Not only was the child a hazard to the well being of the passengers of the flight, but he could have hurt himself. His parents did not seem to act on his behavior and did not speak my language so I was forced to approach the flight attendant in my cabin. I told the attendant, “N. Cara” as her name tag stated, how concerned I was with the child’s safety and how he was disrupting the flight experience of all the passengers on the flight. She was disgruntled as I was the third passenger to approach her. Instead of acting on the situation, she scolded me. In a rude and derogatory tone, she yelled at me claiming she couldn’t do anything and I should just move to a different seat. She yelled so loud she attracted the attention of all the passengers around. I am shocked and disappointed with the treatment and customer service I received from the crew on this flight. Furthermore, I recommend that the airline should ensure that their employees are competent enough to deal with situations where passenger’s safety are at risk. The fact that the crew member did not attempt to approach the child’s mother or address the situation at all was appalling. It should not be the customer’s responsibility to address disturbances or safety precautions on a flight. I do not think I was treated well on this flight and I am very unhappy with the services I received and paid a great amount of money for. I believe I should be compensated for the mistreatment I endured. This may have been the worst flight I have ever had and I do not plan on choosing Iberia Airlines ever again due to this experience."

I don't think it was the airline's fault, but it was a little out-of-the ordinary."

When you enter Terminal 1, you have to turn left and walk about 150 meters to an "assistance station" to get a wheelchair before you even check in for the flight. So for me it was walk 150 meters to wait for a wheelchair, be wheeled back to the airline's desk to check in, then go back the way you came to pass through security. (By the way, in the UK, you must remove all gels for a separate inspection, meaning toothpaste and shampoo, and they must be 100ml or less, or else you must check the bag.) After that rigmarole, you don't even go to the gate, because the flight doesn't have a gate assignment until about 35 minutes before departure. Then I had to climb stairs to get to the cabin. Shouldn't an airport in a market this large have jet bridges for every flight?"

The rest of the world can give the gate well ahead of time, why can't Britain do the same?"
