I always book an isle seat, especially for long flights (this was 12 hrs.), so that I can get up and stretch my legs etc. The couple sitting beside me were upset that I did not take the window seat. When it came time to sleep, the wife stretched out over her husbands legs, who was sitting beside me. This meant her feet were coming on top of my legs, and her legs were forcing her husbands legs into my space, touching my leg - I had to put a pillow between my leg and his leg. I asked the Qatar hostess if she could please ask the couple to change their positions, so that my seating space was respected, resulting in no body touching. The hostess replied that she was not permitted to ask the couple to change their positions and be more respectful. Fortunately there was another unreserved isle seat and I was able to move. Due to the fact that airplanes have become cultural melting pots, thousands of feet in the air, I think it would be peacefully beneficial too all, if a very discreet announcement could be made at the beginning of each flight regrading seating etiquette, respectfulness towards others etc. this could also be printed in the flight magazine. Thanks in advance."

Flying can be delightful. Or not. And Emirates seems to handle those days when "not" pretty well."

The only currency exchange is on the other side of passport control so you have to use one of the ATMs and they only give you $100. The staff is unprofessional and seems clueless when you ask them for help. The kiosks are a nightmare and working with them is worse than working with the people. They freeze, and glitch and many of them just flat out don't work. Probably one of the worst airports I've ever been to."

She was nice enough by offering me ice, and said that once I hear the announcement ''boarding complete'' I can get up and look for a more comfortable seat. When I did that she asked me to go back to my seat immediately without letting me speak, and not once during the 13hr 30 min flight did she come to check if I needed anything. Food was served twice, a 13hr 30 min flight and food was served twice. It was almost impossible to call flight attendants if you needed water, coffee or was starving..they were always in a hurry and a little rude. Definitely going with Emirates next time, the service there doesn't even compare!"

Thirdly, the toilets need a complete re-vamp. It was not a pleasant experience to use toilet."

And everyone got a pillow, a blanket, slippers and a sleep mask. Lovely!"
Nevýhody: "Well, I wasn't too fond of having to sit on the runway at Dulles for three hours while the thunderstorms raged. But taking off wouldn't have been a viable option. :) Actually, it wasn't that long for the thunderstorms, but something very heavy fell on the top of the plane while we were waiting. Maybe a bowling ball? I was torn between wanting to get off the ground, and being terrified that they would take off without checking out whatever the heck that sound was. Apparently, they did check it out. We pulled over to a maintenance spot and sat there for a while before we took off. If there was anything I didn't like about the flight, it was that there was no announcement about what had happened and what they were doing about it. But I'm nosey."

Nevýhody: "This was one of those unfortunate flights that had babies, toddlers and a couple of dogs. Being a mother who has flown before i can understand, however this was one of those flights that you want to forget. One dog was scared and barked for a good 1/2 hour, which was in turn mimicked by the toddlers. So we had a dog barking and 2 or 3 toddlers joining in. Perhaps if the flight crew had stopped the 3 children running up and down the aisles, swinging on the arms of chairs I would not have had to return one child to his sleeping parent myself. I only did that when he tried to get on my seat, while i was sitting on it to play with my sons electronics. I felt for the two mothers with crying babies - but i guess with this combination and no support from the flight crew i felt more sorry for myself!"
Nevýhody: "My skymile number shows up on the boarding pass but the counter attendant refused to check me in as a sky priority member. I had to wait in the line for 50 min and check in as regular customer. Also, the process of boarding was extremely unorganized, there is no sky priority either. I will not continue to pay for that membership for this lame service. The food is the worst."
