The staff is unprofessional and seems clueless when you ask them for help. The kiosks are a nightmare and working with them is worse than working with the people. They freeze, and glitch and many of them just flat out don't work. Probably one of the worst airports I've ever been to."

We asked if the flight was full and she replied with a face gesture that indicated 'no' (it was a 1.50am flight) so we asked if possible to upgrade with points and she totally ignored, spoke in Turkish to 2 other check in colleagues, printed the boarding passes and almost threw them down on the counter without responding on upgrade. We felt too intimidated to ask any more. Also our mileage points for this sector of our travel were not booked to our KrisFlyer accounts so wondering if she did not capture at check in."

When I asked her if there was anything else she said that was the soonest flight she could find. When I checked my self I found and booked a flight for the 23rd. When I called back they refused to give me a refund."

There is nothing to like about Finnair. Zero service, a mediocre aircraft even though it's an Airbus A350-900 it does not have individual fresh air vents which obviously must be a Finnair option when ordering as Qatar Airways A350-900s do indeed have ................ but they ARE a 5* airline and Finnair is very much NOT. Full flight, no A/C running and as I said no fresh air vents, so it was very stuffy and uncomfortable. I had chosen my seat, as I am a fellow One World member (Qatar Airways Gold member), and isolated myself. When I made check in I looked again and repositioned myself, because obviously Finnair doesn't value my OW tier, and yet when I reported to the desk they had re-assigned yet me another seat sat next to a 'mini-whale' - so poor passenger seating allocation. To give a comparison - flew on a very full A380 QR003 DOH-LHR just 3 days earlier and I was informed by cabin crew that there only about 4 empty seats on that flight and yet 'one of those' was next to me !!! That is how you treat a Gold Member .... but not Finnair.

Very nice experience with Finnair, especially transatlantic flights. Professional crew, excellent service, scheduled on time, headache free environment, very clean and looks like new airplane. Only positive emotions. However, the aircrafts on domestic or short range flights look outdated, and definitely there is room for service improvement.

Nevýhody: "I was not able to check in online within the 24 hrs prior to the flight as the Iberia system kept flashing and "error"message. Therefore, I was not able to pick a seat, which I would have paid to upgrade if necessary, but instead I was assigned a middle seat as a last option, at the counter, and paid for an exit row which, except for the leg room, was just as uncomfortable!"

Výhody: "Because of the delay taking off and refueling, they provisioned for an extra meal service. Choices were limited, but the food was decent. Crew was generally cordial and efficient. Even though there were only 13 empty seats, they made an effort to find us a place with an empty seat between us."
Nevýhody: "We were stopped and grilled by AA personnel as if we were potential terrorists, even though we had TSA Pre-check clearly listed on our boarding cards. flight was 1 hr delayed boarding. Since the plane was a 747 and there were stronger than average headwinds, we had to stop in Bangot to refuel. Net result: 2 3/4 hr late arrival."
Nevýhody: "Whoever designed and built this airplane should literally be INDICTED - AND I AM NOT KIDDING! We were in disbelief the moment we boarded and saw the airplane. 10 people across jammed into the row??!! - and on an long international flight?? - are you kidding??!! Further, these were the SMALLEST seats I have EVER been forced to sit in. Neither I, or my friend came close to fitting. We literally had to alternate getting up and standing because we were literally overlapping each other when we sat! (His shoulder and arm were literally on top of me!!). It was so bad that when the stewardess came rolling down the aisle with her cart, I had to be aware and see her in advance so I could literally TURN MY BODY OVER TO THE LEFT HALF ON TOP OF THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO ME SO SHE WOULDN'T TAKE OFF MY ARM AND SHOULDER. ULTIMATELY, SOMEONE, OR MORE THAN ONE PERSON, IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT BY THIS RECKLESS, GREED-DRIVEN DESIGN!! The OVERT GREED by the airline (American) clearly reflected by this in trying to JAM as many human beings into a flight as possible like Sardines is DISGUSTING!!! You simply DO NOT TREAT HUMAN BEINGS THIS WAY!! It is also clear evidence that there needs to be tighter standards, regulations and penalties by the FAA and what is allowed by airlines. AND I AM SENDING A LETTER TO THE FAA!!!"
Výhody: "The economy seating was relatively comfortable and spacious, compared to some other airlines, and we boarded and departed on time. Boarding was quick, if chaotic."
Nevýhody: "They gave us ipads to watch movies, which were old and didn't work well, but were difficult to hold if you also got a tray or a drink. They didn't give you much water and it was hard to get service. The airplane itself looked pretty old and a little run-down."

Nevýhody: "The seats are very small--and I am a small woman--so the flight felt cramped. The food was just ordinary airline food--little taste. Coffee served essentially black--no offer of milk or cream. Take it or leave it-- Crew helpful if you could flag someone down. Most irritating: could not check in online for some unexplained reason and required to arrive two hours early. BA does no subscribe to TSA so spent time in a line unnecessarily. AND, then the crew arrived over an hour late so the flight left at least an hour late. The crew explained that their downtown bus did not arrive and they could not arrange one. Given the close proximity to the airport, this should have been a 10 minute cab ride."

Poor check in/No partner flight numbers listed: I booked a Finnair flight, it was operated by American Airlines, which is fairly common, but neither JFK or CDG listed the partner flight number or Finnair anywhere - which led to slow and confusing check in when neither Finnair nor AA could find my reservation"
Výhody: "Boarding was quick and efficient. Flight crew was polite, helpful and friendly. Had adequate leg room in coach, added plus was the flight was not crowded so did not have anyone sitting next to me. Did not feel squashed and claustrophobic as a result. Food was satisfactory."
Nevýhody: "Was inadequately fed on the Houston to London leg. Got nothing but a nightcap. The following morning I received a cold, stale croissant as part of a lunch box for a preschooler, nothing warm, no protein after 8 hrs in flight. I could not check in online."
